LONGHAIRED

Many thanks for the excellent presentation and show temperament of the exhibits. Some exhibitors tended to detract from their dogs by overhandling, and why are exhibitors unable to describe triangles on the move, even when given specific directions? Disappointingly few dogs were shown on a loose lead. Quite a large percentage of exhibits with short ribbing and correspondingly lack of follow through of keel. In general hind movement is still poor, both in narrowness and lack of drive.

VD. (1). 1. Jordan and Nightingale’s, Danward Sullivan at Rodima. 7 years old b/t in lovely bloom. Pleasing overall outline, good layback of shoulder and true front movement. Well angulated behind but rather close in movement. A smart start to the day.

SpPD. (3). 1. Oxley’s, Owlery Valentine. Smart and well balanced b/t. Moving well fore and aft and with drive. Rather short in length of ribbing as yet and needs to fill out and muscle up all through. 2. Sutton’s, Damai Master Alex. My type of long red boy. Very elegant. Excellent fore construction but not as mature as the winner. Needs to firm up all over and movement still very ‘puppyish’. 2. Alford and Worth’s, Swansford Pukkador at Deeseedax. The most mature in the class and keeping a good outline both standing and moving. Not as good in shoulder placement as the winners and unfortunately favouring a shoulder on the move.

SpJD. (8). 1. Sutton’s, Damai Master Benedict. An elegant b/t with lovely overall classic outline and balance. Super front construction with reachy neck and excellent length of ribbing. The best of bone and feet. Star quality and great promise for the future. BPIB. 2. McFaul’s, Dachville Distant Dream. Different type red to the winner. Very smart and beautifully handled. Well angulated front and aft and moving well. Shorter than winner and not the length of stride. 3. Jordan and Nightingale's, Swansford Gryffindor at Rodima. Heavier, quality masculine red with good length and spring of ribbing. Keeping a lovely outline on the move but not showing with much verve on the day.

PGD. (12). 1. Burke and Manston’s, Loggeta Antrim Boy from Bonavoir. Very smart b/t in lovely bloom, of just the right length and balance. Excellent fore and hind angulation. Moving true both ways and with drive. Pressed hard in the challenge to win RCC. 2. Thompson’s, Metadale Made to Order for Oleanca. Rather more reticent red with lovely head, neck and shoulders. Sound all through and moving well both ways. Longer oin loin than the winner. 3. Geeson’s, Abydachs One Night Stand. Smaller type b/t presented in lovely bloom and well handled. Rather shorter in neck and length of ribbing than the winners and not the drive behind.

LD. (10). 1. Barrow’s, Metadale Moon Dancer from Frankanwen. Smart shaded red I have admired before. Beautifully handled to show off his lovely front, head and shoulder construction. Topline not held all the time on the move on the day and hind movement not his best. 2. Geeson’s, Abydachs Oh What a Night. Similar type to winner and again expertly handled. Striding out well and better behind than winner, but not as good in forehand construction. 3. Clarke’s, Tekalhaus Masterpiece. Longer type shaded red with great bone and good shoulder placement. Not as settled standing or moving as the first two.

OD. (6). 1. McFaul’s, Ch/Ir Ch. Darsoms Zwagerson. Super shaded red I have admired before and on top form on the day. Completely filled my eye with his classic outline. Beautifully balanced and in excellent bloom. Correctly angulated at both ends and striding out freely. Could not be denied the CC and BOB. Pleased to see him shortlisted in the Group. 2. Burke and Manston’s, Ch. Bonavoir Seven Sisters. One of my favourite red boys with the best of forequarters, length and balance and one of the best movements in the breed. Unlucky to meet the winner on such sparkling from and giving way to the zest of his kennel mate in the challenge. 3. Mitchell’s, Ch. Bronia Monte Cristo. Glamourous shaded red presented in lovely coat. Masculine head on reachy neck and super bone. Preferred the forehand construction of the first two and not showing with much verve on the day.

GOOD CITIZEN D (2). 1. Hasall’s, Brynalyn Noble Quest for Kiddles. Smart shaded red placed Res in Sp Junior. Well balanced with a good forehand and striding out well. 2. Hutton’s, Owlery Majestic. Shaded red similar in type but heavier than winner in shoulder. Shown and handled well.

VB. (3). 1. Cook and Coulson’s, Abydachs Electra at Bournder. Shaded red 10 years old I have judged before. Her good overall construction and steady movement won her the class even though she was rather fidgety standing. 2. Plevin’s, Mitchespell Merlinella. Pretty 8 year old in lovely condition. Good outline both standing and moving. Just losing out to the winner on shoulder construction. 3. Harwood’s, Kantis Koriander. Lovely clear red with excellent bone and forehand construction. Seemed rather sluggish on the day and not putting much in to her movement.

SpPB. (6). 1. Geeson’s, Abydachs Hot Summer Nights. Pleasing and feminine red. Mature for her age. Well balanced with good spring and length of ribbing. Well laid shoulders and well angulated at rear and movement with drive. 2. Owlery Hedi Lamar. Longer type b/t. Skillfully handled and shown in lovely bloom. Feminine head with reachy neck on good shoulder construction. Not as mature as the winner. 3. Sutton’s, Damai Miss Sophie. Similar type to second but not the coat as yet. Lovely forequarters with length and spring of ribbing. Not holding her topline on the day.

SpJB. (9). 1. Mitchell’s, Bronia Carmelita. Heading a class of promising youngster, a lovely clear red on top form. Super prosternum and shoulder construction with the best of ribbing, bone and feet. Keeping her topline both standing and moving. She could not be ignored and thoroughly deserved the CC on the day. 2. McFaul’s, Dachville Perfect Blend. Pretty b/t in super bloom and close up to the winner. Excellent fore and aft construction and true movement. Losing out on length of ribbing on the day. 3. Leggett’s, Sonsyrmes Secret Magic. Very feminine shaped red with well laid shoulders. Good bone and length and spring of ribbing. She should do well as she matures on and comes into her coat.

PGB. (13). 1. Surrell’s, Bokra Jazz. Excellent quality class headed by smart and feminine red of excellent size. The best of shoulders and forequarters. Moving well both ways, one of the truest movers on the day. Expertly handled and pressed hard in the challenge. 2. Cunningham and Gore’s, Frankanwen High Sierra for Georgessa. Just my type, clear red girl with super bone and feet. Good length and spring of ribbing. Not quite the coat and finish of the winner on the day. 3. McNaughton’s, Cedarvoch Bewitched. Lovely clear red in super coat and quality all through. Just not quite the topline standing or the hind drive of the first two.

LB. (10). 1. Cross’s, Loggeta Spirit in the Sky. Heading a class of very mixed types. This sound and glamourous b/t has lovely front construction, bone and ribbing. Good overall balance and front movement. 2. Boyle’s, Mondricia Regal Holly. Similar type although shorter in body. Well presented and looked a picture standing. Not the hind angulation of the winner. 3. Burfitt and Perry’s, Swansford Tinkadora with Fragglerock. Very different type. A large red girl, solid and with super bone. Good length and balance. Just a lot of her and not moving the best behind.

OB. (10). Close decision between the first three but headed by 1. Mitchell’s, Ch. Bronia Marionette. Another ultra sound bitch from this kennel. A feminine b/t with lovely front and well laid shoulders. Good prosternum and bone, giving way to her young kennel mate on the day n topline in movement. Pleased to award her the RCC. 2. Oxley’s, Owlery Cazarina. Very similar type. Very pretty b/t with good shoulder construction. Moving with verve and keeping a lovely outline standing and moving. Just narrower through than the winner. 3. Warke’s, Poggeta Lavander Blue. Longer b/t shown beautifully and as usual from this kennel, presented in lovely bloom. Very well muscled throughout.

GOOD CITIZEN B (1). 1. Halsall’s, Dinstinctibe Dream for Kiddles. Feminine shaded red of sound movement. Well constructed fore and aft and keeping a good outline. Could hold her place in any company.
