I would like to thank my steward Bob McCarthy and I apologise to him and all the exhibitors just in case I passed on my flu germs as I was feeling very rough that day. Also apologies for the lateness of this report as following the flu I was left with a trapped nerve or something causing extreme pain to my neck, shoulder and arm/hand and I have been unable to write or type or hold anything with my right hand. PD (4, 2) 1 Swann & Eldridge’s Laraine Gunner Be Good. Nice red puppy with good bone, tight feet, dark eye, lovely head and nice hindquarters. 2 Hutton’s Frankanwen Suremagic. only just 6 months and a bit overawed, came into his own moving, good bone and feet. Not as well let down behind nor the pigment of winner. J (4) 1 Johnson’s Tiendawn Velvet Commander at Africandawns. I liked this shaded red young lad and when fully mature I am sure he will do very well. Sound throughout, lovely head and dark eye, good strong hindquarters, super length and depth of ribbing. Moved well. 2 Mitchell’s Bronia Patriarch. Another nice youngster, very similar in type. A little narrow moving towards me and I preferred the shoulder placement of 1. 3 Metcalfe’s Metadale Major Decision. PG (5, 1) 1 Thompson’s Metadale Made to Order for Oleanca. Attractive red with nice head and expression and reachy neck. Balanced throughout with good outline standing and moving. Sound mover coming and going. 2 Tilbrook’s Toms Halfacre. Larger type red, preferred topline, head and expression of winner. 3 Dimon’s Africandawns Night Slipper of Dimerlin. L (8, 1) 1 Clarke’s Tekalhaus Masterpiece. Eye catching shaded red with very nice head and expression, reachy neck running into well placed shoulders, good front and length of ribbing, super feet, moved well. 2 Hutton’s Owlery Majestic. Sound, strong dog with good bone, preferred the head of the winner. 3 Negus’ Shardaroba Rigel by Tarramist. O (8, 1) 1 Metcalfe’s Ch. Metadale Macquarie. Very elegant and smart red with good head and eye, nice reachy neck, well laid back shoulders, excellent depth and length of ribbing and powerful well angulated hind quarters used to his advantage. Super bone and feet. Excellent condition and he commanded the ring on the move. CC & BOB. 2 McFaul’s Dachville Distant Dream. One I have always admired from the ringside and very pleased to be able to go over this glamorous red of lovely size and type. He is beautifully balanced with good head, bone and feet. I would just like a little more length of ribbing. Very well handled and presented in excellent coat. Moved well to take the Res. CC. 3 Mitchell’s Ch. Bronia Monte Cristo. PB (5, 2) 1 Johnson’s Brynalyn Bitter at Africandawns. 7 month red baby who I just loved. Very feminine head with dark eye. Super construction, moved well. One destined for a very bright future. BP and RBPIS. 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Justice in a Dream. Another nice red of similar type and construction. More mature but not as settled when moving. 3 Halsall’s Laraine Truly Treasured. J (4) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Pastiche. Elegant red, feminine head and dark eye, super neck and well laid back shoulders. Good forechest and length of ribbing. Strong hindquarters, topline and outline kept on the move. 2 Cook & Rhodes Bournder Royal Sapphire. Very sound b/t that I liked but a bit apprehensive when on the table, when she settles should have a good future. 3 Booth’s Abbalongdat Ms Voulez Vous. N (3) 1 Booth’s Abbalongdat Gimme Gimme. Super red, long, low and level, good bone, feet, depth of keel, nice barrelled ribbing and well laid back shoulders. Moved correctly but needs to move with more enthusiasm. 2 Halsall’s Larain Truly Treasured (also 3rd in puppy). Not the front or the ribbing of the winner. 3 Baysan’s Laraine Truly Faye. PG (9, 3) 1 Mitcell’s Bronia Playgirl. Litter sister to Junior winner. I loved this young red bitch, she is so lovely to go over with everything in the right place. Has quality throughout, excelling in shoulders, ribbing and hindquarters. Moved with drive at all times. CC. 2 Metcalfe’s Metadale Maid from Michigan. Very stylish shaded red who is by my dog CC winner and she carries many of his virtues. Moved with purpose and kept her topline at all times. I just preferred the shoulder placement of 1. 3 Lawrence’s Peverleigh Polly Rose. L (11, 2) 1 Geeson’s Abbydachs Hot Summer Nights. Quality bitch in good condition, compact body with good bone and feet. Nice head and eye. Moved well. 2 Dare’s Bronia Huntress at Darsoms. Very elegant eye catching b/t who at first I though would be my winner. Lovely head and expression, good rear angulation and topline kept at all times. Close decision but a little wider in front than 1. 3 Surrell’s Bokra Jazz. O (6, 1) 1 Mitchell’s Ch. Bronia Carmelita. Elegant red in good condition and expertly presented. Good head and eye, clean reach of neck into well laid back shoulders, good length of ribbing and strong topline, good hindquarters, moved well with good drive. Res. CC. 2 McFaul’s Ch. & Ir. Ch. Dachville Perfect Blend. Nicely sized b/t close up to 1 and also beautifully handled and presented. Nicely constructed throughout but I just preferred front of the winner. 3 Metcalfe’ Metadale Make it Happen.
