JD. (2). 1. Oxley’s, Owlery Valentine JW. Black and tan. Good overall balance and clean outline. Strong jaw, correct bite. Well laid shoulders. Prominent keel. Well ribbed back. Level topline, strong loin. Good tail carriage. Flowing gait with strong drive from well angulated hindquarters. 2. Newport’s, Rodima Welsh Wizard. Black and tan. Balanced head with well shaped eye. Prominent keel, level topline. Not so strong in hindquarters as winner.
PGD. (2). 1. Cooper and Steadman’s, Blue Velvet by Merrygarth. Well proportioned black and tan. Balanced head and dark eye. Prominent keel, well laid shoulders and good ribbing. Level topline. Well feathered tail. Moved soundly and freely. 2. Mitchell’s, Dacquoise Sebastian Sooty. Red boy. Rather stuffy around neck. Good sprung of rib, depth of chest and length of ribbing. Preferred movement of winner.
LD. (8). 1. Geeson’s, Abydachs Oh What a Night JW. Red. Not a big boy but well balanced. Good head, eye and strong bite. Prominent keel, well ribbed back. Level topline. Correctly set tail and carriage. Moved with verve. 2. Cooper and Steadman’s, Alex’s Favourite with Merrygarth. Red with good overall balance, spring of rib and prominent keel. Preferred front movement of winner. 3. Cook and Rhodes’, Bournder Emerald Star.
OD. (6). 1. Mitchell’s, Monte Cristo. Red with lovely clean flowing lines. Good head and expression with correct bite and clean white teeth. Well laid shoulders. Prominent keel, well ribbed back and strong loin. Good hind angulation. Beautifully presented coat in gleaming condition. Moved with purpose and drive. 2. McFaul’s, Dachville Distant Dream. Another quality red. Lovely head and expression. All the attributes of winner. Finally had to split hairs when making my choice to place this dog second. Movement effecting my final decision. 3. Oxley’s, Ir Ch. Larkhund Latest Destroyer at Owlery Sh CM.
PB. (2). 1. Negus’s, Tarramist Assignation. Red youngster. Feminine head, dark eye, correct bite, strong large teeth. Good lay of shoulder. Correct ribbing. Level topline. Moved well. 2. Cook and Rhodes’, Bournder Royal Sapphire. Black and tan with balanced head and typical expression. Slightly longer cast than winner. Not so strong and positive in movement as winner. 2. Cook and Rhodes’, Bournder Royal Sapphire. Black and tan with balanced head and typical expression. Slightly longer cast than winner. Not so strong and positive in movement as winner.
JB. (5). 1. Geeson’s, Abydachs Hot Summer Nights. Red girl. Looked a little stuffy standing but relaxed and came into her own on the move. Lovely head and expression. Prominent keel. Good tail and carriage. 2. Negus’s, Tarramist Waterloo Sunset. Thought this red was my winner standing but moving rather wide behind at the moment and paid the penalty. 3. Otter and Wilson’s, Sonsrymes Zipady Doo Da.
PGB. (7). 1. Leggett’s, Sonsrymes Secret Magic. When on the table appeared rather high on the box back end but level out on the move. Well balanced head with dark eye. Prominent keel and well laid shoulders. Correct tail carriage. 2. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Bewitched. Red with good front and prominent keel. Lovely condition standing but drags her tail on the move. 3. Mitchell’s, Bronia Charisma.
LB. (6). 1. Metcalfe’s, Metdale Make It Happen. First time in this class could change placed next time out. This red bitch has good overall balance. Well laid shoulders. Prominent keel and level topline held well on nthe move. 2. Mitchell’s, Bronia Carmelita JW. Another red with dark eye and balanced head. Good ribbing and level topline. Tending to carry her tail gaily at times. 3. Paskins’, Metadale Moulin Rouge at Kindeace.
OB. (4). 1. McFaul’s, Dachville Perfect Blend. Black and tan. Lovely head and expression with dark eye and strong scissor bite. Well laid shoulders, prominent keel and level topline. Ribbed well back. Good tail carriage and set. Flowed around the ring with strong dribe from hindquarters. 2. Mitchell’s, Ch. Bronia Marionette. Black and tan unlucky to meet winner in such good form. All the attributes of winner but I preferred the movement of winner. 3. Metcalfe’s, Metadale My Way.
