LONG HAIRED
Vet D (8,1) 1 Roberts’ Ch Swansford Lanador. Shaded red in good hard condition. Good head and neck with good shoulders. Excellent ribbing and balanced quarters. Moved well with great enthusiasm. 2 Negus’ Shardaroba Midnight Sun at Tarramist. Shaded red dog who is also in good nick. Lovely head and eye, good lay of shoulder though a little short in upperarm, good bone and feet. Strong quarters and moved well. 3 Walkley’s Rosenket Royal Sundown. Bigger type of dog with a good head and shoulders. Excellent ribbing, slightly longer in hock and a sound enough mover, though a bit lazy.
SpPD (3) 1 Eldridge and Swann’s Laraine Gunner Be Good. Good head and eye, good neck and a fair lay of shoulder. Good forechest, ribbing a little short which caused his topline to arch slightly. Fair quarters and a sound mover. 2 Little’s Metadale Midnight Marauder. Very overweight puppy which caused him to roll on the move. Good head, neck and shoulders, good forechest and well ribbed. Balanced quarters, movement very sloppy in the rear. 3 Hutton’s Frankanwen Suremagic. Nice head with good ear. Good neck, shoulders slightly forward placed. Good ribbing and fair quarters.
SpJD (2) 1 Edwards and Pankhurst’s Marshwick Shades of Black at Danward. Black and tan dog in gleaming condition. Head a little strong for me, good neck and shoulder placement. Ribs carried well back, balanced quarters and excellent bone and feet. Sound fore and aft. 2 Little’s Metadale Midnight Marauder.
PGD (16,1) 1 Johnson’s Tiendawn Velvet Commander at Africadawns. Shaded red boy, very nice head and correct eye, long neck running into well placed shoulders. A little short in upperarm. Good forechest, good ribbing and good quarters. Moved well. 2 Metcalfe’s Metadale Major Decision. Smaller red dog of good type. Head could have more length for me. Good neck, excellent shoulders and a good forechest, excellent bone and feet. Ribs carried well back and good quarters. Sound on the move, a little co-operative on the stack. 3 Geeson’s Abydachs One Night Stand. Very nice b/t dog of good type. Lovely head and eye, long neck, shoulder angulation a little steep. Good ribbing, bone and feet. Well angulated quarters. On the move I felt he didn’t quite extend in the rear as well as the first two dogs. Well presented.
LD (10,1) 1 Roberts’ Swansford Lyrenstan Picasso. Shaded red dog of excellent type. A little strong in head, he has a good neck running into well laid and angulated shoulders. Prominent forechest, long and deep ribbing and excellent bone and feet. Well angulated quarters and a good tailset. Sound and responding well to his handler on the move. Res CC. 2 Haines, Andrews and Cooper’s Black Crystal at Isanhurst. Lovely type of dog that I have admired from the ringside. Long lean head, small dark eye and a good neck and shoulders. Excellent ribbing, good quarters. Moved soundly and with purpose. 3 Negus’ Shardaroba Rigel by Turramist. Very impressive dog on the stack. Good head, good neck, shoulders a little forward. Excellent forechest and ribbing. Well balanced quarters. His front action was a bit wide and uneven.
OD (9,1) Very difficult class to sort out, with some lovely dogs of varying type. 1 Metcalfe’s Ch Metadale Macquarie. Shaded red dog who was presented to perfection. Fair head, good neck running into well laid shoulders. Excellent forechest and ribbing. Strong, well angulated quarters. Was a tad narrow coming towards me on the move but in profile, his correct reach and drive fore and aft gave him the class and the CC. Well handled. 2 McFaul’s Dareams Zwagerson. Good head and good neck with a prominent forechest. Excellent bone and ribbing. Shoulders a little steep, strong and well angulated quarters. Moved soundly. 3 Clarke’s Ch Tekalhaus Masterpiece. Sh CM. Deep rich red with a lovely head and eye. Long neck, prominent forechest and good bone and feet. Excellent ribbing, fair quarters - tailset a little high. A little unsteady moving away from me.
Good Citizen D (5) 1 Hutton’s Owlery Majestic. Well balanced mature dog of good type. Fair head, good neck and shoulder. Good ribs and well muscled quarters. Sound on the move. 2 Mitchell’s Dacquoise Sebastian Sooty. 3 Dimon’s Africandawns Night Slipper of Dimerun.
Vet B (5) 1 Geeson’s Ch Abydachs Give Me the Future. B/t bitch I gave a BOB to her in her prime. Good head and neck, good lay of shoulder and good ribbing and quarters. Shown in excellent condition and well handled. 2 Metcalfe’s Metadale Made in Heaven. Another bitch I judged in the past and liked. On the day a little heavier in condition than she should be, which made her look a bit laboured on the move. Very well constructed and in lovely bloom. 3 Plevin’s Witchespell Merlinella. Nicely constructed bitch of 11 years, thoroughly enjoying her day out. Moved soundly with great enthusiasm.
SpPB (2) 1 Johnson’s Brynalyn Bitter Sweet at Africandawns. Very nice red bitch I have admired and I was not disappointed. Good head with a dark eye, good neck running into well laid shoulders. Good angulation in both shoulders and quarters. Excellent forechest and long ribbing. Moves with correct reach and drive, well deserved the Res CC and Best Puppy. 2 Mitchell’s Brynalyn Fancy Free. Litter sister of the first puppy but a different type. She also has a nice head, though a little stronger. Good neck and shoulders, good bone and feet. Just misses balance of quarters and needs more length in upper thigh.
SpYB (8) 1 Roberts’ Swansford Steffiedora. Very pretty b/t bitch of lovely type, if a little petite. Good head, small dark eye. Long neck running into well laid shoulders. A little short in upperarm, excellent ribbing and beautifully balanced quarters with short hocks. Moved well. 2 Cook and Rhodes’ Bournder Royal Sapphire. Looks a picture when co-operating on the stack. Nice long and feminine head, good neck and shoulders and a prominent forechest. Excellent ribbing, a bit long in hock which causes her to lose her outline on the move. 3 Halsall’s Laraine Truly Treasured. Red bitch, not in good coat on the day.
PGB (11) 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale Maid from Michigan. Really lovely head with a small dark eye. Good neck running into well angulated shoulders, prominent pro-sternum and good ribbing. Well balanced rear. Moved well fore and aft, not totally co-operating on the stack. 2 Edwards and Pankhurst’s Amber Nectar at Danward. Neat red bitch of good type. Fair head, bit round in eye. Good neck, well placed shoulder and good bone and feet. Balanced quarters, sound on the move. 3 Garlick’s Ranglewood Evelyn. Elegant b/t bitch with a good head, long neck and good shoulders. Could just do with a slightly shorter hock. Needs to settle on the move.
LB (5) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Hot Summer Nights JW. Quality red bitch, very pretty head and small, correctly shaped eye. Shoulders rather upright, decent forechest and excellent ribbing, bone and feet. Well angulated quarters. Moved soundly. 2 Garlick’s Charmed Camellia at Ranglewood. Shaded red with rather a plain head, good neck and shoulder placement. A little short in upperarm, long ribbing and excellent quarters. Moved correctly in profile with good drive from the rear, just a bit wide coming towards me. 3 Cunningham and Gore’s Frankanwen High Sierra for Georgessa.
OB (9,2) 1 McFaul’s Ch Ir Ch Dachville Perfect Blend. Lovely head and eye, long neck running into correct shoulders and a prominent forechest and excellent ribbing. Well angulated quarters. Looked an absolute picture on the stack and didn’t lose her outline at all on the move, using her correct construction to reach and drive around the ring. Beautifully presented and well handled to the CC and BOB. 2 Roberts’ Ch Swansford Vivadora. Smaller red bitch of good type. Pretty small head, small dark eye. Good neck and good angulation in shoulder, ribs carried well back, neat quarters and moved with verve. 3 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Bewitched. Clear red of very elegant type. Long head, reachy neck and a good lay of shoulder. Long ribbing and well balanced quarters. Just didn’t follow through in hind movement as well as 1 and 2.
Good Citizens B (2) 1 Halsall’s Distinctive Dream for Kiddles. Was 4th
in Limit. Pretty head and eye, fair shoulders. Ribbing a little short, could do
with more length of upper thigh. Not in the best of coats. 2 Paskins’ Metadale
Moulin Rouge at Kindeace. Red bitch with a good head, neck and shoulder. Needs
more angulation in quarters. Well muscled and in good condition.
