LONGHAIRED:

MPD
(2) 1 Best Puppy and Res CC, Dunbar’s Bronia Fernando. Cracking puppy, so well made and put together, a future Champion if ever I saw one! Has the length of leg for ease of movement, a beautiful head, would like his pigment to darken a trifle more. A real find though! 2  Negus’ Tarramist Adonis Dream. Happy b/t. So pleased with himself. A bit forward in shoulder and needs to firm up in backline. Gorgeous coat and condition for 8 months. Moves wide behind at present. Excellent bone and feet.

PD
(1) 1 Johnson’s Bronia Prime Design at Africandawns.  Another handsome boy, gorgeous bright red and gold with excellent pigment, nicely chiselled foreface and heavy lips. Good strong neck and prominent forechest. Well boned, correct ribbing and a short loin. Hammy quarters and a well set tail, which is set on a slightly sloping croup. Moved well and with good freedom. Can still widen a little more going away.

JD (5) 1 A nice class.  Clarke’s Hilmar Velvet Harvest Gold. Winner easy and active mover, covering the ground well. A bit overheavy in head and I would like tighter lips. Good neck, lovely body and ribs carried well back and strong loin and topline. Powerful rear, well set and carried tail. Shows well too. 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Incantation.  Also not quite as good in head as he could be, too much stop and a lumpy backskull. Good moderate size, lovely body and tight, large feet. OK in rear, good coat and body condition. 3 Eldridge and Swann’s Metadale  Morgenhof.

PGD (4) 1  Boyle and Barrow’s Zarcrest Special Liaison with Frankanwen. Has a good length of leg and is very elegant and shapely, spot on moving up and down, could perhaps extend a trifle more in rear profile action. Pleasing head with almond eyes and nicely set ears which are not as low as most. Elegant neck and a perfect topline, glossy coat which just needs a little more finish. 2  Dunbar’s Bronia Touchstone. Nice going around and more length in rear stride than the winner, but he is very narrow coming towards and feet could be thicker. Pleasing for height off the ground, firm back and enough coat. 3 Sutton’s Damai Master Benedict Sh CM.

LD (4) 1 CC, BOB and Group 2,  Metcalfe’s Metadale Major Decision. Very correct for size and weight, which is a major factor in this variety right now. His head could be a bit longer and not so widein backskull, but his lovely body, front, high withers, firm back and excellent quarters all are just right. In beautiful coat and muscular condition. A nice Dachshund indeed. 2 Boyle and Barrow’s Zarcrest Special Liaison with Frankanwen. 3 Johnson’s Tiendawn Velvet Commander at Africandawns.

OD (4) 1  Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Patriarch. A very hot class winner, correct for weight and size, pleasing head and excellent body and topline. Well angulated behind. A lovely type and quality. He just needs more muscle tone, particularly over the shoulders. Moved out beautifully. 2 McFaul’s Ir Ch Dachville Distant Dream.  Also in perfect weight and condition. A bit thick in backskull and needs a touch more length to upperarm. Firm back, nice slight slope over croup and well carried tail. Beautifully muscled and condition and he shows so well. 3 Geeson’s Ch Abydachs Oh What A Night. JW.

MPB
(6) 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale Masquerade Ball. Some lovely babies in  various stages of development, they should all come on nicely I thought. Winner showed in snatches but was the soundest on the day. Lovely size and proportions of height to length, well ribbed back, excellent legs and feet for age. 2  McNaughton’s Bronia Fascination. Slightly more leg, which I did admire, but on the day she was moving a touch wide coming towards and her body was still rather tubby. Very elegant and shapely looking. Nice proportions and should do well when she tightens up. 3 Negus’ Tarramist Invocation.

PB
(5) 1  Johnson’s Bronia Design Flare at Africandawns. Another very nice class. Winner has more elegance over her neck and shoulders than 2nd.  Liked her head, eyes and expression. Good neck and shoulders, prominent forechest, excellent body and, although she has enough rear angulation, she can still widen a touch going away. She has a good, lengthy stride in profile. 2 Mitchell’s Bronia by Design.  Goes well and is a real showgirl. Has a rather short and stuffy neck coming from a short shoulder blade, so not quite the outline of the winner. Super body, pleasing topline and again she moves a touch close going away. Promising if her neck lengthens. 3 Booth and Elsley’s Abbalongdat Head over Heels.

JB (4) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Intrigue. Very elegant b/t, slightly weak in foreface but it is long enough and backskull is pleasing, nice eye placement, slightly obliquely set. Elegant neck, fair front and a firm body. A touch too long in back. Rear is well muscled , but she is close going away and tummy taps in profile. Well handled and presented. 2  Mitchell’s Bronia Classy Chassis at Imirika. Solid and well boned, great personality. A little short of neck and could do with carrying less weight, which would improve her I think, as she looks heavy in body and too thick set. Moved out nicely and will no doubt improve further, once out of the ‘teenage’ stage.

PGB (8) 1 and CC,  Boyle and Barrow’s Zarcrest Special Effects for Frankanwen. A real treasure, so nice to go over, my hands just flowed over every part of her! She is absolutely spot on moving, elegant and with a beautiful head and eyes. She does need a little more finish in her furnishings, especially on her rather sparse tail, but a really top quality bitch all through. 2 Mitchell’s Brynalyn Fancy Free at Imirika.  Solid and sound moving, she could lose a little more weight, particularly over her rump, to her advantage. Handled quietly and well and she was not disgraced in this strong class, 3 Furber’s Dorysa Starry Night.

LB
(8) 1 Metcalfe’s  Metadale Maid from Michigan.  Difficult decision between 1, 2 and 3. Winner scored on front, super feet, lovely head and expression and sound body with a neat rear. Tall, a bit too short perhaps. Excellent muscle and body condition. 2  McNaughton’s Cedavoch Bewitched. Very elegant, standing looked very much the winner, but a bit disappointing coming towards and feet not so thick as the winner’s. She holds a good topline, well set and carried tail. Nice head but eyes a trifle wild looking. 3 Booth and Elsley’s Abbalongdat Ms Voulez Vous.

OB (8) 1 Lovely class. Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Pastiche. Winner out of coat but showing she has nothing to hide, pleasing proportions. Attractive conical head, strong foreface and a nice neck and front. Grand body and topline, ok in rear. Moved out well with a good, ground covering stride. 2  McFaul’s Ch Ir Ch Dachville Perfect Blend. In better coat and also a very elegant bitch, rather narrow in front and cuts up underneath in ribbing. She does keep a good topline and was moving with good drive. behind. Close decision, with the front of the winner just touching her off. 3 Metcalfe’s Metadale My Way.
