Many thanks to the officers, committee and exhibitors for a most enjoyable
and may I say sporting day. In both varieties quality has improved all through.
Temperaments and presentation were excellent. Thank you.
LONG HAIRED
MPD (2) 1 Booth and Elsley’s Darsoms Fernando with
Abbalongdat. Well put together youngster, good head and front assembly, scores
well in topline and rear angulation. Needs time to fill this excellent frame
work. Although well matured in body he is very much a baby in his mind, when he
settles will trouble the best. 2 Chapman’s Zarcrest Gollee Begosh. Smaller type
than winner, not the substance or frame yet, needs time to grow on, moves well.
PD (2) 1/ Burke and Manston’s Bonavoir Solomon’s Seal. More Mature lad, good
head and front, well placed shoulders, nice length of ribbing, firm topline and
rear angulation, good hard condition. Nice free action on the move. BPD 2/
Darsoms Fernando with Abbalongdat
JD (4) Three cracking youngsters. 1 Vine’s Bokra Espionage. Very
striking young male, super head and expression, good neck, well laid shoulders,
well off for bone and ribbing, good firm topline, excels in rear angulation.
Taller type giving lovely elegant movement. Quality coat and furnishings. Just
needs to fill out and firm up. Delighted to award him RCC. 2 Rees Loxbar Master
Mercantor at Aquarelle. Same remarks apply, another good honest type, more
settled when stacked than winner, only maturity split these two Promising boys.
3 McLennan’s Bronia Firecracker at Cheguevar.
PGD (2) 1 Alford and Worth’s Swansford Pukkador at Deeseedax.
Soundly put together, good head and front, well angulated, good steady movement,
not as strong in topline as some but an honest type. 2 Nightingale and Arnold’s
Rodima Bonnie Chance at Doral. More elegant than winner with more reach of neck,
firmer in topline but not the rear angulation or as sound on the move.
LD (3) Another strong class in quality if not quantity. Difficult to
split these three. 1 Clarke’s Hilmar Velvet Harvest Gold. Close up in the
challenge, very elegant, masculine head, and good shaped eye, plenty of reach of
neck, good length and strong hind quarters. Well balanced and sound all through,
moves steadily covering the ground with ease. Stacked looks a picture, pity he
did not put enough effort into the challenge, his day will come. 2 Cross and
Burke’s Loggeta Black Velvet Again, difficult to fault, same quality make up as
winner, excellent on the move just a little heavier in build and not quite the
elegance, but I was hair splitting. 3 Johnson’s Bronia Prime Design at
Africandawns
OD (4) 1 Negus Shardaroba Rigel by Tarramist. I feel This dog should
already have his title, correct size, elegant head, good neck, shoulders and
front assembly despite an injury as a youngster, good strong topline, plenty of
rib, well shaped hind quarters, moves with ease, powerful yet elegant. Totally
fills the eye from all angles, no hesitation awarding his second CC in a strong
line up. 2 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Patriarch. Lovely head and expression, good
shoulder placement, excels in rear angulation. Prefer his size, not overdone in
any area, very balanced stacked and moving. Unfortunately he pricked a paw
entering the ring and although sound was obviously uncomfortable, such a pity,
all credit to his owner for handling him so sympathetically. 3 Goodman’s
Rokerpark Just William.
MPB (1) 1 Duchesne’s Bonavoir Golden Maze by Scandell naf taf Pretty
head, well shaped youngster, good shoulders and front assembly, held firm top
and underline, plenty of rear angulation, promising baby.
PB (3) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Devil Woman. Very expressive head, good
neck, shoulders, strong topline, plenty of ribbing, very well angulated, sound
coming and going moves with so much purpose and drive. Not yet a finished
article but will be at the top as soon as she matures, very close in the
challenge. BP 2 Fricker’s Village Story. Still quite immature, nice overall
shape but could not match the winner on movement.
JB (4) Excellent class of quality girls in the making. 1 Clarke’s
Loxbar Barby Dazzler to Hilmar. Good head, eye, neck, excels in shoulder
placement and hind angulation, plenty of rib and good bone, more settled in
topline, Good size and so very well proportioned, totally sound, moves with
drive and purpose. Won here on maturity. 2 Clarke’s Bokra Extravagance with
Tekalhaus. Another well proportioned sound mover, beautiful head and ample neck,
neat underline, excellent shoulder placement and rear angulation. Topline just
needs to firm and settle down as she matures will reach the dizzy heights. 3
Negus Tarramist Invocation.
PGB (4) Another excellent class of quality. 1 Booth and Elsley’s
Abbalongdat Head over Heels One for the future, well shaped all through, nice
head and eye, good shoulder placement, front and plenty of length, well ribbed
and tidy underline. Correct coat. So sound, Moved true coming and going
retaining her firm topline and covers the ground with ease. RCC in a strong line
up. 2 Johnson’s Bronia Design Flair at Africandawns. Smaller type, well
proportioned, good head and eye, well angulated, another moving true and keeping
her outline. Close up to winner. 3 Negus Tarramist Ophelia
LB (2) The quality keeps coming. 1 Cook and Rhodes Bournder
Royal Sapphire Well proportioned, good front, shoulders and well off for
ribbing. Nicely angulated, well covered body, nice shaped feet. Moved with ease
again retaining a good shape at all times. Close up in the challenge. 2 Booth
and Elsley’s Abbalongdat Gimme Gimme. Same quality type as winner, good size
with bone and substance as are all from this kennel, sound well balanced at all
times, good quality coat again.
OB (5) Tough decision between first three, all top drawer. Excellent
type winning this very strong class. Excels in head, eye, reachy neck, well
ribbed, strong top and underlines, well shaped hind quarters, lovely depth of
keel, moved soundly and with ease. Lacking furnishings a little but so
beautifully put together, was pushed hard in the challenge, but her overall
soundness and elegance won her the CC.and BOB. 2 Booth and Elsley’s Abbalongdat
Voulez vous. Different type to winner, stockier build but not lacking elegance,
not over done in any area, good overall shape and balance, totally sound all
through. Very worthy of being a champion, I would have loved to give her the
crowning CC but today she was carrying a little too much weight and was not in
the usual hard condition, and she was up against others in top form, pity but
her day will come because she is a good enough. 3/ Johnson’s Brynalyn
Bittersweet at Africandawns.
