I was honoured to judge at the Dachshund Club of Wales Champion Breed Show and my first time to award CC's. The host club was exceptionally hospitable. My Ring Stewarts were, without exception, top notch. They kept everything in the ring operating smoothly without any problems. The exhibitors were very courteous and it was a pleasure to judge such Standard Long Haired Dachshunds of quality and substance. PD (3/1) 1 Negus' Tarramist Adonis Dream, beautifully proportioned head, nice length of ribbing and keel, wonderful temperament, nice movement, BP. 2 Rees' Loxbar Master Mercantor at Aquarelle, nicely boned, nice length of body, pleasant temperament. JD (7/1) 1 Manston's Marshwick Moon Music from Bonavoir, nicely proportioned head, strong front, strong jaw, nice length of body, smooth movement and level topline. 2 Geeson's Abydachs Incantation, strong front, smooth movement and level topline, elegant coat, nicely groomed. 3 Chapman's Marshwick Moonlight Dream via Melminds. PGD (7/2) 1 Chapman's Melminds Montaray Jack, well proportioned head, nice strong muscular neck, strong front, smooth movement while maintaining a level topline, very balanced. 2 Worth's Swansford Pukkador at Deeseedax, strong front, muscular neck, smooth movement and level topline. 3 Rees' Phaeland North Light at Aquarella. LD (7/1) 1 Negus' Shandaroba Rigel by Tarramist, strong front, prominent breastbone, muscular neck, free and flowing gait, level topline, hindquarters broad, strong and parallel, nicely balanced. 2 Cross & Burke's Loggeta Black Velvet, strong front, nice length of body, smooth movement and level topline, hindquaters set well apart, straight, and parellel. 3 Boyle & Barrow's Zarcrest Special Liaison with Frankanwen. OD (6/0) 1 Geeson's Ch Abydachs Oh What A Night JW, beautifully proportioned head, strong front, prominent chest bone, nice length of ribbing and keel, long muscular neck with graceful lines running smoothly into the shoulders, graceful and flowing gait, nice reach and drive, topline level and hindquarters well apart, straight, and parallel. Long elegant coat beautifully groomed. DCC, BOB, BIS. 2 E. Mitchell's Ch Bronia Patriarch, well proportioned head, strong front, nice shoulder layback, smooth movement with level topline, hindquarters straight and parallel. RDCC 3 Cook & Rhodes' Bournder Emerald Star. V (3/0) 1 Oxley's IrCh Larkhund Latest Destroyer at Owlery ShCM, beautifully proportioned head, strong front, nice length of body, nice ribbing and keel, long muscular but graceful neck, graceful and flowing gait with level topline, hindquarters straight and parallel. BV, BVIS. 2 Negus' Shardaroba Midnight Sun at Tarramist, strong front, prominent breast bone, nice movement and level topline, Muscular neck. 3 Geeson's Ch Abydachs Give Me The Future. MPB (3/0) 1 Johnson's Brynalyn Magic Moment at Africandawns, lovely puppy, strong front, nice shoulder layback, good temperament, nice length of body, hindquarters well apart, straight, and parallel. 2 E. Mitchell's Bronia Devil Woman, strong front, prominent breast bone, good temperament, smooth movement. 3 Hall's Swansford Phoreverdora. PB (4/2a) 1 Manston's Bonavoir Causing Chaos, strong front, nice level topline and smooth stride, nice muscular neck flowing into proper shoulder layback, happy, faithful temperament. 2 Clarke's Loxbar Jo Anna to Hilmar, strong front, smooth movement and nice level topline, good temperament. JB (6/1a) 1 Clarke's Loxbar Barby Dazzler at Hilmar, very balanced, strong front, elegant movement and level topline. 2 Cook & Rhodes' Bournder Frankincense, strong front, nice level topline and smooth stride, hindquarters well apart, straight and parallel. 3 Geeson's Adydachs Intrigue. PGB (6/2a) 1 Wedge's Dolan Night Away, large bone, strong front, prominent breast bone, extremely true, solid movement, both coming and going away. Very well muscled hindquarters with legs set well apart, straight, and parallel. 2 K. Mitchell's Bronia Classy Chassis at Imirika, nice strong front, elegant movement and very level topline, nice length of body. 3 Furber's Dorysa Starry Night. LB (8/0) 1 Johnson's Brynalyn Bitter Sweet at Africandawns, very strong front, beautiful muscular neck flowing gracefully into the shoulders, very nice shoulder layback, very graceful movement both coming and going away, nice level topline, strong rear. RBCC, 2 Johnson's Zarchrest Special Effects for Frankanwen, very strong front, beautifully proportioned elegant head, strong jaw, free and flowing gait with a very level topline. 3 Cook & Rhodes' Bournder Royal Sapphire. OB (9/2a) 1 Oxley's Owlery Czarina, This is a wonderful bitch, very correct, strong front, nice prominent breastbone, proportionate feminine head, long muscular yet elegant neck that flows into the nicely layback shoulders. nice ribbing and keel, level topline and smooth, graceful movement, true coming and going away, well muscled hindquarters with legs set well apart, straight, and parallel. BCC, BOS. 2 Hayes' Rodima Dark Crystal mitt Dialhouse, strong proper front, nice long muscular neck, very nice shoulder layback, smooth movement with a nice level topline, very balanced. 3 F. Mitchell's Ch Bronia Pastiche.
