LONG HAIRED
Not a large entry but a quality entry & only 1 dog absent. I enjoyed judging the Long Haired Dachshunds.
MPD (1) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Classic Legacy, super 7 months deep red of immense quality, beautiful head & eye on reachy neck, correct front, well laid shoulders, sound well angulated quarters, sound movement showing promise of good ring presence at an early age. BP.
JD (2) 1 Dunbar’s Bronia Fernando, impressive clear red of good type, good head & eye, strong well angulated quarters, positive movement, well handled; 2 McLennan’s Bronia Firecracker at Cheguevar, shaded/r litter brother to 1 & of the same good type, in excellent coat & condition. Preferred the movement of 1. Well handled.
LD (5) 1 Roberts’ Bronia Major Blink Swansford, young shaded/r dog, stunning outline & ring presence, very good head & eye, reachy neck, correct shoulders & front, strong well angulated quarters, moved with great drive & extension, the handler got the very best out of this dog. His first CC & later BOB, looked good in the group; 2 Boyle’s Zarcrest Special Liaison with Frankanwen, b/t dog with an impressive outline, fabulous head & eye, reachy neck, firm topline, excellent feet, free movement. Preferred the ribbing & underline of 1; 3 Geeson’s Abydach Incantation.
OD (1) 1 Geeson’s Ch Abydachs Of What A Night, very worthy champions in tip-top coat & condition, very balanced outline, well angulated shoulders & quarters, good bone & feet, moved with great drive & extension. In the challenge just preferred the overall masculinity of LD. RCC.
MPB (2) 1 Boyle’s Zarcrest Gosh I’m Gorgeous, very feminine red of ideal size, good substance & bone, very good feet, well angulated shoulders & quarters, good front, sound movement. BPB. A little unsettled in the challenge for BP. Most promising; 2 Mitchell’s Bronia Dream Legacy, b/t bitch of larger type than 1, excellent construction, super front, strong quarters. Not the maturity in movement of 1. Well handled & presented, promising.
PB (1) 1 Duchesne’s Bonavoit Golden Maze by Scandell, red of good type, long ribs, well angulated quarters. Would like more drive in movement. In good coat & condition. JB (3) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Devil Woman, red bitch of excellent type & shape, good front, well angulated shoulders & quarters moved with drive & extension, well handled & presented; 2 Hall’s Swansford Phoroverdora, nice headed red bitch, bigger type than 1. Sound movement. Preferred the length of 1. Well handled; 3 Fricker’s Village Storm.
PGB (3) Three good bitches. 1 McNaughton’s Bronia Fascination, very elegant red bitch of good size, super head & eye, strong neck, good long ribbing & underline, sound free movement, well handled & presented; 2 Cook & Rhodes’ Bournder Frankincence, good red bitch, excellent front & quarters, strong topline, sound movement but just a little reluctant at times. Well handled & presented; 3 Mitchell’s Bronia Classy Chassis of Imirka.
LB (5) A good class. 1 Boyle & Barrow’s Zarcrest Special Effects for Frankanwen, ultra feminine b/t, very impressive outline, fabulous head & eye, reachy neck, correct front & feet, firm hard topline, very elegant movement, in top coat & condition, handled to great advantage. CC, which makes her up; 2 Cook & Rhodes’ Bourndeer Royal Sapphire, b/t I have always admired, long ribbing very good topline & tailset, in excellent coat & condition, well handled & presented, ran 1 close; 3 Mitchell’s Bryalyn Fancy Free at Imirika.
OB (4) 1 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Pastiche, top quality red bitch, super front, thick feet, long ribbing & short loin, very sound free easy movement, well handled. Short of coat on the day. RCC; 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Hot Summer Nights, glamorous red bitch of good type & size, free sound movement. Would just like a little more overall length. Well handled & presented; 3 Plevin’s Saucy Sara at Rodima.
