LONG HAIRED
It is a few years since I last
judged the breed and I was quite impressed with the improvement in front
construction, (or perhaps those with doubtful fronts stayed away.) My main
concern this time was width of hind movement and length of tails, also I found a
few hare feet. PD (4) 1 Johnson’s Africandawn Night Dancer.
Handsome masculine hound. Excellent bone and substance. Good shape and length of
keel. Moved soundly with plenty of width. Best Puppy Dog. 2 Roberts’ Swansford
Dumbledor. Promising baby. Nicely constructed. Scored on width of body and
movement. I will watch his career with interest. 3 Chapman’s Melminds Mr Magoo.
JD (4,1a) 1 Dare’s Bronia Salvador Of Darsoms Attractive, red,
masculine hound, Scored on front construction, good quarters and tail set. 2
Burke’s Ranglewood Galaxy With Bonavoir. A close decision-Another pleasing

angulation at both ends. Scored on extension and drive on the move. 2 Dare’s
Darsoms Zupremo Another close decision. Attractive, well-constructed masculine
hound with pleasing head and eye. 3 Dunbar’s Bronia Fernando. OD
(6,4a) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Classic Legacy. Shaded red, handsome, masculine
hound. Nothing I would like different. Pleasing head and eye. Good neck on
well-laid shoulders. Excellent bone-pleasing quarters with correctly set and
carried tail. Moved with drive and great ring presence. C.C. and B.O.B. 2
McFaul’s Ch & Ir Ch Dachville Distant Dream. A worthy champion. Excellent
construction. Sound. Lacked enthusiasm particularly on the move. Res C.C.
PB (6,1a) 1 Robert’s Swansford Dipsy Dora The one the judge would most
like to take home. Sweet, feminine, black ant tan. Everything in the right
place. Perfect tail set giving lovely rounded quarters. Moved soundly as I knew
she would. Best Puppy. 2 Lawrence’s Peverleigh Rose Of Polly. A pleasing shaded
red youngster. Good front and ample width-standing and moving. Unlucky to meet
the winner. 3 Fosset’s Melminds Methodin Madness Via Brysdax. JB

slide over finding everything where you want it. Nice tight feet and excellent
