LONG HAIRED

It is four and a half years since I last judged this variety, and I found many of the same problems, shoulders are still too forward placed and short in upper arm. Many though are still too big, the standard calls for 20-26lbs. Coats were all clean, my hands were as clean when I'd finished judging as when I started, but in far too many cases for my liking there was too much of it, yes it was clean and yes they were beautifully groomed but in some cases all you could see coming towards you or going away from you was coat swaying in the breeze so to speak, it does not hide a multitude of sin. To my mind the coat should enhance the outline not detract from it. Teeth were all clean, there was just one dog whose mouth was slightly suspect. Some heads were rather coarse, too broad across the skull. Some were carrying too much weight and some were too cloddy. Congratulations all nails were beautifully trimmed and feet were in most cases tight. Having said all that, thank you for my entry, and for giving me such an enjoyable day. Thank you also to my stewards, good stewards make all the difference. It was good to hear applause from the ring side, something we seem to be forgetting to do these days. MPD (2) 1 Marks' Brynalyn Royal Warrior Via Labbadax. Shaded red, and one with a good front, prominent forechest, very good bone and feet, although his rear angulation is good he needs to strengthen in rear movement, but time is on his side. 2 McLennan's Bronia Judas Kiss At Chequevar, clear red with good bone but his rear movement let him down, could possible benefit from some ring craft. PD (3) Very little separated these three. 1 Roberts' Swansford Dumbledor B.P.D. I like his masculine expression, he has good bone and feet, well constructed front. I particularly liked his good shoulders, he moved out very well. 2 Edwards & Pankhurst's Marshwick Cloudy Morning At Danward. A biggish lad, whose shoulders were not as good as first, but he has better width all through than three. Moved out quite well. 3 Johnson's Africandawns Night Dancer I felt he needed more heart room and a less profuse coat, also a little heavy in build. His bone and feet were good. J (2,1a) 1 McNaughton's Cedavoch Kaballah B/T a gleaming coat but too much of it. This youngster has a masculine head and expression with good shoulders, good top and underline, nicely angulated rear, he moved out well. PG (5,1) 1 Marks' Lyrenstan Zargoza At Lubbadax, masculine head and nice dark eye, a pleasing size, good top and underline shoulders good giving a prominent forechest, moved well behind from a well angulated rear. 1 Rees' Loxbar Master Mercantor At Aquarelle B/T whose head I like with a dark eye, he showed well but I did not feel his shoulders were quite as well placed as the winner. This lad has good bone and feet and his movement was better than the third. He kept a level topline at all times. 3 Burke & Manston's Bobavoir Trade Secret. B/T. who was some what heavier than the other two and did not move as freely. L (4) All were very even and of a nice size. 1 Edwards & Pankhurst's Marshwick Shades Of Black At Danward. Good masculine head with a dark eye. Just the right amount of coat, he has good shoulders, with a prominent forechest, nicely angulated rear which allowed him to move out well he maintained a level topline at all times. Good feet and bone. 2 Alford and Worth's Swansford Pukkador At Deeseedax.Red, whose feet were not as tight as winner, but other wise very similar to winner. He moved out freely. His hind movement was freer than three. 3 Rees' Phaeland North Night At Aquarella. Has good feet and bone but tends to turn his front feet out when standing and this is noticeable on the move. O (6) 1 Dare's Ch Bronia Salvador Of Darsoms. C.C. a very pleasing exhibit, who is masculine with a dark eye. Well placed shoulders and prominent forechest. Level topline, ribbing carried well back. He knew how to use his well angulated rear. Really showed himself off with a natural stance, when it came to B.O.B. it was pure preference that gave it to the bitch. 2 Metcalfe-Bilgin's Ch Metadale Major Decision, red very similar to one, but today was not quite so positive in rear movement, but I loved his head and expression. Front construction good allowing him to move out freely. Seriously considered for the R.C.C. 3 Geeson & Geiser's Am Ch Insights Captain Clutch. Red who really appealed for his size and generally construction but although he is two I felt he still has some maturing to do, but I am sure he has much to offer the breed. I shall watch out for him at future shows. V (1) 1 Metcalfe- Bilgin's Ch Metadale Macquarie, R.C.C. hard to believe his lad is now a veteran, it was my first time going over him but I have always like him from the ring side and I was not disappointed in going over him. Masculine head and expression with a dark eye. Well place shoulders with a prominent forechest, tight feet. Well constructed rear, enabling him to move round the ring with drive. MPB (4) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Estee B.P.I.B. and R.B.P.I.S. Well done. B/T feminine head with a gentle expression, well placed shoulders, prominent forechest level topline. Good rear, which she used on the move. One to watch. 2 Dare's Darsoms Zorara, red who was slightly larger than one, but feminine with a good front and rear construction, she moved out freely and there was little to separate these two. It was her better placed front that placed her over three. 3 Garlick's Ranglewood Heliotrope. Red, with a feminine head and expression, level topline and good ribbing. PB (3) 1 Robert's Swansford Dipysdora, B/T pleasing head, good shoulders and firm topline, prominent forechest. A nice size and moved out well, but in the challenge for B.P. bitch she did not seem so settled. 1 Justice Africandawns Night Boogie To Liric. Red slightly larger than one and more heavily coated, which detracted from her overall appearance. Her movement was alright but I would have liked a little more reach and drive, but it was more together than three. 3 Lewis' Zarcrest Caught Cha Lookin At Trixhund. B/T I preferred her size to second but she was not so all together. She does have good feet and bone. J (6) 1 McNaughton's Cedavoch Soceress R.C.C. I really liked this well constructed red, who has a feminine expression, a dark eye. Good ribbing carried well back, shoulders are good and she has a prominent forechest. Well angulated rear, so moved with drive. I see she is a half sister to my B.P.I.B. 2 Metcalfe-Bilgin's Metadale Make A Decision. Red close up to winner, she has good bone and feet, well angulated front and rear, close decision but just felt this young lady was not quite as mature, however she had more drive than three. 3 Garlick's Ranglewood Genista.B/T. lot to like but did not move out as freely as the other two and was not quite so good in front construction. PG (6,1) 1 Metcalfe-Bilgin's Metadale My Oh My, Lovely head and expression, well constructed shoulders and prominent forechest. Her ribbing is carried well back and she is well angulated behind, she was close up for R.C.C. 2 Duchesne's Bonavoir Golden Maze For Scandell, Red/brindle, nicely presented exhibit, but she did not have the drive of the winner. Level topline, prominent forechest, ribbing of good length. I felt she was better infront and behind than three. 3 Cook and Rhodes' Bournder Frankincense. Red, who I felt was rather upright in shoulder placement, but she showed well. L (7,1) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Devil Woman C.C. and B.O.B. As soon as she entered the ring I recognised her, as being my B.P.I.S. two years ago. I obviously liked her then and I still like her for she has matured into a very elegant young lady. She is well angulated both fore and aft, she has a prominent forechest level topline, ribbing carried well back, excellent bone and feet. She has just the right amount of coat for me, as in no way does it detract from her outline or her free movement. She became a champion on the day, well done. 2 McNaughton's Cedavoch Mystique, who is a litter sister to my Junior winner and very like her in make and shape, slightly bigger than my winner but still of a nice size, she moved out freely, and was good alround, who I am sure could change places with my winner but not today. I preferred her front to that of three. 3 Mitchell's Bronia Classy Chassis At Imirka, Red who was standing somewhat higher behind than the other two. O (7, 2a) 1 Michell's Bronia Enchantress, Litter sister to my B.O.B. winner and like her, she is slightly the larger of the two but still an acceptable size. Like her she well constructed both in front and behind, good top and underline. She moved out well but could not surpass her sister today. 2 Dare's Fragglerock Rosy Martini At Darsoms. Red larger than one but well made feminine head with a gentle expression, well made front, but she has too much coat, especially behind as it is difficult to see her movement, but from the side it looked fine. I like her front construction with prominent forechest. Good feet and bone. Was more settled than three. 3 Geeson's Am Ch Insights vintage Versace. Once she is settled in this country I am sure she will do well, she is s half sister to the dog and I am sure they will do well in the months to come.
