Dachshund (Standard Longhaired): It has
been a while since I have judged the Longs. I found size was a big problem on
the. Far too many exhibits were too big and heavy. Coats on the whole were good
and all were presented in a clean condition. I found pigmentation could have
been better. Plum coloured noses and eye rims do detract from the expression.
Nails were not black in some cases, which detracted from the foot, which gave
the appearance of splayed feet. MPD(3, 2) 1 Negus' Tarramist
McLaren. Shaded red, masculine head, well arched neck, correct, well placed
shoulders, nice hindquarters, moved ok but needs to firm in topline to finish
the picture. PD (3) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Larenzo. Eyecatching
clear red, pleasing head, correct, well filled front, well placed shoulders,
lovely size, keeps a good outline, moved with purpose and style. Best PD. 2
Johnson's Africandawns Night Hawk. Larger build, shaded red, masculine head
without coarseness, correct oval front, moved and showed well, beautiful
presentation. 3 Lewis' Bronia Chaos At Trixhund. JD(2) 1
Johnson's Africandawns Rumour Rumble. My star of the day. Have seen before and
admired him then. He did not disappoint on handling him. Dark clear red,
masculine head, correct eye, well arched neck flowing into well laid back
shoulders, well sprung ribs, well angulated hindquarters, moved with great style
and purpose. Pleased to award him CC and BOB. Congratulations. 2 Fricker's
Dachslur In His Prime. Immature red of a taller, rangier type, needs more weight
to finish the picture. PGD(2) 1 Negus' Tekalhaus License To
Kill With Tarramist ShCM. Red of taller type, scored ok in all departments but
for me would like more length of rib. Had a tendency to loose his outline on the
move. 2 Alfors &Worth's Dachslur Diddleydo At Deeseedax. LD(5,
2) 1 Geeson's Abydachs Kickin Up A Storm. Shaded red, pleasing head, well arched
neck, well filled front, good spring of rib, excellent outline, moved out well.
2 Mitchell's Bronia Absolute. Much heavier type to first. For me I would like
less of him, nice head, neck and front, excellent hindquarters, moved with
purpose. 3 Alfords &Worth's Swansford Pukkador At Deeseedax. OD(6)
Very mixed class of different types. 1 Mitchell's Ch Bronia Lotario JW. Well
known Ch. Has a lot to like about him. Smart red, masculine head without
coarseness, well arched neck, keeps a good outline at all times, well angulated
quarters, moved with purpose and verve. I would like to see him carrying a
little less weight. Pleased to award him the RCC. 2 Geeson &Geiser's Am Ch
Insights Captain Clutch (Imp). Different type to winner. I have to say what a
fabulous colour, correct, well filled front, well placed shoulders, good spring
of rib, nice hindquarters, beautifully presented, but today I preferred front
extension of winner. I see he is the sire of my BCC winner. 3 Negus' Tarramist
Adonis Dream ShCM. VD/B 1 McNaughton's Ch Cedavoch Bewitched.
Pretty red of beautiful size, elegant bitch who carries her years well, scores
well with her correct head, well filled front, beautiful topline,
sympathetically handled to get the best out of her. Best Veteran and Best
Veteran in Show. Congratulations. 2 Mitchell's Bronia Charisma At Imrika. Red,
taller, upright bitch enjoying her day, well handled to get the best out of her.
PB(5, 2) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Lenya. Smart red with pretty head
with pretty head and expression, well filled front, well sprung ribs, moved out
well, best mover in the class. 2 Mitchell's Bronia Louanna At Imirika. Red,
smaller type to winner, pleasing head, neck and front, preferred front
construction of winner, more coat would finish the picture. 2 Mitchell's Bronia
Louanna At Imirika. Red, smaller type to winner, pleasing head, neck and front,
preferred front construction of winner, more coat would finish the picture. 3
Burley's Bronia Chantilly From Arbennik. JB(5, 2) 1 Mitchell's
Bronia Callista. Easy winner in this class, smart shaded red, pretty head and
expression, well arched neck, keeps a fabulous outline at all times, moved with
style and purpose. Best mover in the class. 2 Fricker's Dachslur Crimson Sunset.
Needs time to settle to finish the picture. 3 Eve's Dachslur Mairi My Dream.
PGB(7, 2) 1 Geeson's Abydachs Summer Lovin. Caught my eye as
she entered the ring. Clear red who has a beautiful head and neck, well filled
front, correct, well placed shoulders, nice well angulated hindquarters which
gave thrust on the move. Moved out well and kept a pleasing outline at all
times. Pleased to award her the BCC. Congratulations. 2 Johnson's Africandawns
Night Dreamer. Diferent type to my winner, but she has a lot to like, well
filled front, good shoulder placement, moved with purpose, but today I preferred
head of my winner. 3 Garlick's Ranglewood Idesia. LB(5, 1) 1
Garlick's Ranglewood Heliotrope. Smart red, scores well in all departments,
correct head, neck and front, beautiful quarters which she uses well on the
move. 2 Negus' Tarramist A New Hope. Bitch of pleasing type, close up to my
winner, good prosternum, well handled to get the best out of her, more coat
would finish the picture. 3 Dunbar &McNaughton's Bronia Veveteen. OB(3)
1 Garlick's Ch Ranglewood Genista. Well known winner who was giving her handlers
a tough time. Your hands flow over her from her pretty head with sweet
expression, correct front, well laid shoulders, excellent outline that she kept
at all times. In the challenge she lost her sparkle, hence she had to settle for
the RCCtoday. 2 McNaughton's Ch Cedavoch Mystique. Black and tan of larger type
to winner, well placed shoulders, correct, well filled front, keeps a good
outline, moved out well. 3 McNaughton's Ch Bronia Sorceress.
