DACHSHUND - LONG HAIRED
A pleasing entry with plenty of quality in
both sexes with very little absentees. Some exciting youngsters on view which
is promising for the future of the breed. Weather conditions yet again did its
best to spoil proceedings but all exhibits and handlers coped admirably. I
would like to take this opportunity to applaud the officers of the society for
their efforts in getting the show up and running. Well done to you all! Plus a
special mention to both my stewards Ann and Linda the Pointer Girls!!
JD(7, 1) Excellent class to start proceedings! 1 Johnson's
Africandawns Night Hawk. Shaded red. Super exhibit to go over, classic in head
proportions which is of the correct conical shape. He excels in eye and
expression, neck is of good length. Shoulders correct, a little more
development in forechest will complete his front assembly. He is well ribbed
with a spot on topline which in turn leads to a correct croup. He is well
developed in his quarters which have short parallel hocks. On the stack he
gives off a stunning profile on the out and back he is precise and holds a
typical outline on the go around. I just wish that he would put more into his
performance. Nevertheless did enough today to warrant the RCC. With normal luck
should wear his crown! 2 Mitchell's Bronia Larenzo. Clear/red. A very smart
individual and so much to admire. I would however prefer him to have a touch
more underjaw just to balance up his head. He is correct in neck and fore
quarters, he is well ribbed and has quality in bone with super feet. Moved out
with purpose on the out and back, if somewhat a little coltish at times which
results in him flying his tail! Nevertheless a quality exhibit and was
presented in excellent coat and condition. 3 Singh-Seth's Tarramist Force
India.
YD(3, 1) 1 Wilson's Rogermardax Senor Dougal B/Tan. Correct in head
qualities which is masculine and well balanced with a correct eye and
expression. Neck ok, front assembly correct. Good in bone but feet needs to
tighten up. General outline on the stack correct, and he moved out with
purpose. Well presented. 2 Wood's Rogermardax Jack Spratt. Litter brother to "Dougal"
head qualities correct with good eye and expression, neck of good length. Would
however prefer more length in rib, needs time to mature and settle on the move.
PGD(6, 1) 1 Duchesne's Darsoms Zane Of Scandell. S/red, correct to go
over, masculine well balanced head with a lovely eye and expression. Correct in
neck with a well constructed forequarter. He stands on quality bone with neat
compact feet. He is well ribbed which are carried well back. Topline spot on
which leads to a well angulated rear with strong parallel hocks. Technically on
the move he is correct, a little more enthusiasm would help his chances of
going further. Presented in first class order. 2 Metcalfe-Bilgin's Metadale Man
Of Distinction. Red, another exhibit that has plenty to admire. Masculine well
balanced head with a good eye and expression. Would prefer a touch more neck;
shoulders however are correct, bone and feet correct. He has excellent ribs
with a correct top line which in turn leads to a well muscled rear. Moved out
with purpose on the out and back, at the moment he is between coats. 3 Cook &
Rhodes' Abydachs Rides The Storm To Bournder.
LD(4) 1 Metcalfe-Bilgin's Metadale Manyas. Red, handsome individual
and so much to admire. Masculine head of correct proportions with a good eye
and expression. Excels in neck and forequarters, excellent ribbing, level in
topline which leads to a well angulated rear. He stands on super bone with neat
compact feet. Moved out with drive and true purpose, one that will reach the
top with normal luck. 2 Johnson's Africandawns Rumour Rumble. Quality exhibit
to go over, smaller in cast than most but typical of this stable! Well balanced
head with a good eye and expression, correct in over all outline on the stack.
Good bone and feet, level in topline and moved soundly on the out and back.
Unfortunately left his jacket at home today! 3 McLennan's Bronia Judas Kiss At
Chequevar ShCM.
OD(4) 1 Mitchell's Ch Bronia Lotario JW. S/red. Yet another star from
this clever breeder/exhibitor who has constantly produced top flight L/H
Dachshunds for many a decade. Loved his head qualities which are handsome,
masculine and of the correct conical shape with a super eye and expression.
Excels in neck which in turn allows him to carry his head proudly. He has
excellent ribs which care carried well back and let down to his elbow. He
stands on quality bone with excellent well padded feet. His rear is well
angulated with short parallel hocks. Moved out with positive rear drive and
forward reach holding his outline on the go around. As usual from this
exhibitor presentation was first class. Pleased to award him the CC; later on
hair splitting decision for BOB! 2 Dare's Darsoms Zyjack. Shaded/red. Imposing
individual with so much to admire. Masculine well proportioned head, lovely eye
and expression, super neck and forequarters. Excels in rib and topline,
tremendous bone and feet. Excellent rear angles; on the move he is so arrogant
displaying such confidence and attitude. Holding a super outline on the go
around, he is in stunning coat and condition. For me, however, I wish that
there was a little less of him; if this was the case then I would not hesitate
and award this exhibit a CC!! I do, however, wish his sporting owner the best
of luck; I'm confident he will wear his crown. 3 Sutton's Damai Master Benedict
ShCM.
PB(3, 1) 1 Dare's Zarcrest Gabriela Sabantini At Darsoms NAF TAF. Red,
clever move to arrest this one from her breeder! Super youngster with a bright
future. Excels in head which has the correct conical shape. Lovely eye and the
sweetest of expression. Neck and forequarters excellent, she is well ribbed,
topline and tail set spot on. Her bone is of quality with super tight well
padded feet. Her rear angles are excellent with short parallel hocks.
Considering it was her debut in the show ring she was showing such attitude
that I could not ignore her; moving with such purpose and holding a stunning
outline on the go around. Pleased to award her Best Puppy and in the line up I
found her captivating enough to award her the RCC. One for the note book! 2
Marks' Labradax Belladonna. Red. Another exhibit that has plenty to admire,
feminine well balanced head of correct proportions. Lovely eye and expression.
General outline on the stack good. She has good bone and feet, just not as
positive on the move as the winner but with maturity this should correct
itself.
JB(4) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Callista. Red. Another quality exhibit from
this stable. Scores in head qualities which is well balanced of the correct
shape, excellent eye and feminine expression. Scores in neck and front assembly
with a good fore chest. Her ribbing is good with a level top line leading to a
well angulated rear. She used herself to good advantage on the out and back
showing positive rear drive and forward extension holding her outline at all
times. As usual from this exhibitor she was presented in excellent order with
normal luck should wear her crown! 2 Sutton's Lillymai Flower By Damai. B/T.
Another exhibit that has plenty to admire. Feminine head qualities with a good
eye and expression. Correct in neck and fore quarters. General outline on the
stack is correct. She has quality in bone with neat compact feet. Moved out ok
in profile but just not as positive as the winner on the out and back.
Presented in excellent order. 3 Cook &Rhodes' Bournder Sapphistication.
YB(8, 1) Two exhibits that will change places. 1 McFaul's Dachville
Exotic Blend B/T. Quality exhibit with a lovely head, eye and expression.
Excellent neck and shoulders, level topline with a correct tail set leading to
a well angulated rear. Quality in bone with neat compact feet. Moved out with
style and purpose holding a true outline on the go around. Presented in
excellent condition. 2 Mitchell's Bronia Louanna At Imirika. Red. Has so much
to admire, lovely to go over, ultra feminine well balanced head of the correct
conical shape. Good eye with a feminine expression. Scores in front assembly.
She is well ribbed, holds her top line at all times. Moved out soundly on the
out and back showing positive rear drive. Sadly at the moment just needs to
regain her jacket to complete the picture. One that will always be considered!
3 Dare's Darsoms Zamelia. Completing a trio of quality exhibits.
PGB(5, 1) 1 Burke & Manston's Bonavoir Independence. Red. Won this
class with a bit in hand. Quality in head which is of the correct make and
shape. Lovely eye and expression, correct in neck and fore quarters. Excels in
ribbing which is carried well back. Correct in top line which in turn leads to
a well angulated rear with short parallel hocks. On the stack gives off a
pleasing outline and moved out soundly on the out and back, well presented. 2
Booth & Elsley's Abbalongdat Ice Queen. Red. Plenty to admire on this exhibit,
scores in correct head shape with a sweet expression, good neck with ribbing
carried well back. Topline ok which leads to a well angulated rear. She has
quality in bone with feet ok. Drove well from the rear but not so true in front
on the return. Presented in good condition. 3 Marks' Labbadox Anastasia.
LB(6, 1) Good class to sort out. Close between first two!! 1 McFaul's
Dachville Classic Blend. B/T. Litter sister to yearling winner. Lovely to go
over, scores heavily in her head qualities which is of the correct conical
shape and of equal balance. Super eye and expression, excellent neck which in
turn flowed into a clean shoulder. She is well ribbed which are carried well
back, top line and tail set so correct. She is well angulated in the rear and
stands on quality bone with neat compact feet. Moved out with style showing
positive rear drive and forward extension, holding a classic outline on the go
around. Presentation was first class. Did at one stage consider for a major
award, unfortunately in the line up something went wrong which in turn somewhat
upset her. Never mind she will wear her crown!! 2 Mitchell's Bronia American
Liberty At Imirika. Red. Another quality exhibit and pushed the winner all the
way. She is pleasing to go over, although I just preferred the definitions in
the head of the winner, after that she has a super neck and fore quarters,
excels in rib bone and feet. She is well developed in her rear and stands on
quality bone with neat compact feet. In profile she is mot pleasing on the eye,
she excels on the move using herself to good advantage showing positive rear
parallel drive and good extension up front. Presented in excellent condition.
With normal luck should make it to the top. 3 Johnson's Africandawns Night
Fire.
OB(4) 1 McFaul, Ch/Ir Ch Dachville Special Blend (An Ch 11, Jun Ch)
B/T of top draw quality, ultra feminine throughout. Superb head qualities which
is of the correct conical shape. Gorgeous eye and expression, excels in neck
and shoulders, front assembly so true, excellent ribbing which is carried well
back and let down to her elbow. Topline spot on which in turn leads to a really
well angulated rear. Her bone has quality with super tight well padded feet. On
the stack her outline is quite breathtaking. On the move she displays such
arrogance with positive rear drive and forward reach holding a true outline at
all times. Her black coat was simply gleaming, a picture of true health.
Pleased to award her the CC and later on gave her all to take BOB! 2 Dare's Ch
Daroms Zienna. Red. Yet another quality exhibit if somewhat different in type
to the winner. There's nothing to dislike about this exhibit. Ultra feminine
well proportioned head, correct in general outline, well ribbed, quality bone
with compact feet. She gives off a very pleasing outline on the stack and moves
positively on the out and back holding a pleasing outline on the go around. As
usual from this stable presentation was first class, a worthy Ch indeed. 3
Booth & Elsley's Ch Abbalongdate MS Voulez Vous.
