DACHSHUND - LONG HAIRED
A very good entry awaited
judge elect Stuart Mallard, who was unable to be present. I thank, exhibitors
for accepting at short notice me as replacement judge. It is good to see the
this variety back to a sensible size. A time when they were some who too heavy
and over boned. I often refer to the standard using the word 'compact' regarding
body proportions. The Dachshund must always be well-knit, in body. A unit,
everything fitting tidily together. Some are over long in body, and makes for
weakness in the back. Some good fronts around, and I looked for some ground
clearance in my winners. Some were being too low to ground. A good tail carriage
helps by putting a stamp on an already good dog. There were several, with 'dead'
tails. One likes to see a dog using its tail on the move. My main winners, all
good representatives of their breed.
VD (2,1) 1 Sutton's Damai Master Benedict ShCM. Excellent head and eye.
Good feet and front. Moving well. Must have been a good winner in his time?
PD (1) 1 Chapman's Melminds Zsylvester RCC &BP. High class youngster.
Good head and eye. Level top-line, moving well. Has everything going for him.
JD (1) 1 Mitchell's Bronia Mr Pepys. Top class youngster. Ticks all the
boxes, excellent front, good topline. should finish well.
PGD (2) 1 Dare & Guy's Melminds Zitanic At Darsoms. Pleasing size. Has
all the essentials, but not using his tail on the move. 2 Cooper, Steadman &
Hendren's Darsoms Zethro. Built on bigger lines, real quality, but was rather
unsettled on the day.
LD (2) 1 Booth & Elsley's Abbalongdat The Visitor. A shade overdone in
length of body. Lovely quality, firm front. Went well. 2 Halsall's Labbadax
Anastazio. Pleasing size. Front could be firmer, and not using his tail on the
move.
OD (6) 1 Mitchell's Ch Bronia Larenzo CC & BOB. Pleasing size, dog of
great quality, with firm front, not overdone in length of body. Uses his tail on
the move with correct carriage. 2 Boyle's Ch Zarcrest Hugo Boss. Another first
class dog to go over. Good eye. Sound mover. 3 Marks' Ch Brynalyn Royal Warrier
Via Labbadax ShCM. Res Geeson's Abydachs Kicks Up A Storm. VHC Clarke's Aust Ch
Laurieton His Masters Voice By Tekalhaus.
VB (2) 1 Booth & Elsley's Ch Abbalongdat Ms Voulez Vous. Her good
qualities still shine through. A worthy Champion carries her years well. 2
Dimon's Laraine Truly Faye For Dimerlin. Lovely quality, moving out well.
PB (1) 1 Chapman's Melminds Maleficent. Good head and eye. Tail needs
to settle.
JB (1) 1 Chapman's Melminds Metropolis. Pleasing size. Eye could be
lighter, tail carriage too high.
NB (2) 1 Burley's Bronia Krystal Arbennik. Excellent front and good
ground clearance. Quality all through. Can win well. 2 Cheese's Suecaseus
Desdemona. Good head and eye, tends to run up behind, but is of lovely quality.
PGB (6) 1 Surrell's Bokra Masquerade CC. Great quality, caught my eye
when she entered the ring. Grand front, excellent topline. Moving well with good
tail carriage. I hear goes back to the wonderful early breed ing of the Imber
line of Mollie Raine. 2 Dimon's Dimerlin Isolde. Good quality, moving well, with
good topline. 3 Chapman's Melminds Miss Dior. Res: Booth & Elsley's Abbalongdat

Showing with style, good head and eye, moving well over the ground, correct tail
carriage. Must surely gain her title. 2 Dare's Darsoms Zshona. Lovely head and
eye. A little long cast in body, but is a classy example. 3 Marks' Labbadax
Bletilla. Res: Burley's Bronia Aphrodite Arbennik. VHC Booth & Elsley's
Abbalongdat Ice Queen.
OB (5,1) 1 Harris, Winchurch & Harris's Zarcrest Devil Wears Prada.
