PD (3) 1 Chapman’s Melminds Zsylvester, 10 months dark s/r of pleasing size, presents a clean outline with firm topline, has balanced angulation in his forehand & hindquarters, moves out with freedom showing reach & drive, coat was flat & well presented. BP; 2 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale Mourinho, 11 months s/r with profuse coat, has a most handsome conical head with dark eyes. More rangy in outline than 1, has the makings of a sound dog. Still at the roly-poly stage which affected his movement; 3 Johnson’s Africandawns Night Gardian. JD (3) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Mr Pepys, 12 months clear red who was a stand out here, of excellent size & construction, handsome head, liked his forehand angulation together with prominent pro-sternum & well filled oval thorax, well boned legs set well under his body, well ribbed back, firm in topline, well developed hindquarters with excellent angulation & low set hocks, very sound in his movement, I liked his proud carriage & style, very well presented with glorious flat coat. Maturity will take him to higher honours. RCC; 2 Johnson’s Africandawns Larry’s Legacy, 15 months s/r with profuse coat, liked his size & firm well knit body, ribbing carried well back, firm in his topline. Rather overshadowed by 1 in forehand construction & head carriage; 3 Cook & Rhodes’ Bournder Regency Malachite. PGD (1) 1 Dare’s Melminds Zitanic at Darsoms, handsome clear red with appealing head, well presented flat coat, liked his firm topline with ribbing carried well back, well developed hindquarters with desired angulation, sturdy bone & feet. Would prefer to see more angulation in his forehand. LD (7) 1 Johnson & Mitchell’s Africandawns Night Hawk, handsome s/r, very masculine in outlook, I liked his size, head carriage & forehand construction, which told in his smooth fluid movement, firm well developed body & balanced outline; 2 Roberts’ Swansford Warrador, classy s/r of excellent size & outline, close up to 1, very appealing head & expression with dark oval eyes, matched 1 in most respects but felt that he did not go with quite the animation of 1; 3 Geeson’s Abydachs Kicks Up A Storm. OD (6) 1 Boyle’s Ch Zarcrest Hugo Boss, star of the show, no doubting the masculinity of this deep red with gleaming flat coat who took all before him with style & panache, so soundly made with firm well-knit body, so proud in his carriage, grand bone with thick well padded feet, excellent construction with balanced angulation in both forehand & hindquarters, excelled in his forehand with prominent pro-sternum & deep well filled oval thorax, holds an excellent outline on the move, gaits very freely & soundly showing reach & drive. CC, BOB & G1; 2 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Larenzo, classy s/r with a most handsome head, presents a balanced outline, firm topline & pleasing angulation, well ribbed back, moved out freely, excellent presentation. Could not match the forehand of 1 & had to give way to his son for the RCC; 3 Johnson’s Africandawns Rumor Rumble.
PB (3) 1 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale Menane, 10 months light clear red, very pleasing feminine head & expression enhanced by dark eyes, presents a balanced outline, although this is masked by a profuse coat. Liked her fore & hind construction & lengthy ribbing, still very much a baby; 2 Chapman’s Melminds Maleficent, 10 months deep s/r with balanced outline which is enhanced by her rather sparse flat coat, excellent forehand with prominent prosternum. Preferred the head of 1, scored in balanced angulation over 3 Lumley’s Tarramist Tsarine. JB (2) 1 Mitchell’s Africandawns Lilley’s Legacy at Bronia, most attractive 16 months s/r who pleased in head, eye & expression, holds a firm balanced outline, good head carriage, her forehand & hind angulation is balanced in angulation, firm in topline, moved out soundly, certainly one for the future. PGB (1) 1 Chapman’s Melminds Miss Dior, s/r of pleasing size & outline, enhanced by flat coat, firm in body & has prominent forechest. Would like to see more return of upper-arm, which would place her front legs well under her, her head would be enhanced by better balance between foreface & skull. LB (4) 1 Roberts’ Swansford Whoopydora, light s/r, so feminine & of lovely size & type, meets all the requirements in terms of angulation & balance, this enabled her to move out soundly with excellent profile gait, showing with lots of animation. RCC; 2 Dare’s Darsoms Zshona, strikingly attractive very dark s/r with scopy outline enhanced by very flat gleaming coat, lengthy neck enhancing her head carriage. Preferred the forehand development of 1 & did not move with the same fluidity; 3 Paskin’s Abydachs Summer Dream at Kindeace. OB (5) 1 Geeson’s Ch Abydachs Summer Wine, high class clear red with glorious flat coat, this enhances her balanced outline & super head carriage on lengthy slightly crested neck, excellent head shape with strong jaws, her angulation in the forehand enabled her well boned front legs to stand well under her body, deep chest with flowing underline, firm in topline, well developed hindquarters provided the propulsion to move out with an easy gait to take her to top honours. CC; 2 Harris & Winchurch’s Zarcrest Devil Wears Prada, most attractive dark s/r, litter sister to DCC, of pleasing size & type, not so forward in maturity as her brother, has lots to like, pleases in both forehand & hindquarters, firm in topline, moves out smartly but lacks the head carriage & animation of 1; 3 McFaul’s Ir Ch Dachville Classical Blend. VB (1) 1 Cook & Rhodes’ Ch Bournder Royal Saffire, quality 7 years b/t, out of a larger mould, in excellent condition with gleaming flat coat, liked her head carriage & angulation in both fore & hindquarters, moved out with an easy stride. BV.
