I was delighted to be invited to judge Dachshunds for the first time in Scotland. I was impressed about the high quality of my dogs especially the Standard L/h. All of my winners could compete anywhere in the rest of Europe.

L/H – PD (5) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Mr Pepys, a clear red, very promising puppy of excellent size, moving with drive keeping a firm topline, really well presented with excellent coat condition. BP; 2 Harrison & Cook’s Bronia Kingpin, red in a bigger frame, masculine head & moving with drive keeping his topline, front feet turning out sometimes when stacked. PGD (0). LD (6) 1 Cook & Rhodes’ Abydachs Rides The Storm to Bournder, dark shaded red of excellent type & proportions, exquisite head with dark almond shaped eyes, nicely ribbed up, moved out really well, just a little too close behind. RCC; 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Kicks Up A Storm, dark shaded red of lovely type & similar to 1 but couldn’t match him on the move. OD (5) 1 Geeson’s Ch Abydachs Oh What A Night, 9 years red shaded of excellent size & type, perfectly presented in top condition with long shiny coat, elegant head & beautiful expression, long neck & super front with prominent sternum, moves with style & keeping his topline all the time. CC & BOB; 2 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Lotario, dark red shaded of super quality, nicely presented, strong masculine head but I would prefer more elegance. Excellent length & depth of ribcage, excels on the move with lots of drive & perfect topline.

PB (4) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Diorella, clear red with lots of coat hiding some of her qualities, nicely presented & a fabulous mover with firm topline, correct front & well ribbed, excellent bone & feet; 2 Cook & Rhodes’ Bournder Ruby Empress, dark shaded elegant bitch, beautiful head & expression, missing several premolars, long reach of neck & keeps her topline on the move but still a bit narrow in behind. PGB(3) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood Justica, b/t, very elegant & so sound & well made up, missing premolars, in clean hard condition, excels in movement, nice coat & colour; 2 Mitchell’s Bronia Louanna at Imrika, clear red, very stylish & moves with drive. A bit weak pasterns & I prefer more bone. Excellent topline, strong loin & well made quarters. LB (7) 1 McNaughton & Dunbar’s Bronia Velveteen, beautiful b/t with long elegant head & lovely expression, super reach of neck, best of fronts & well ribbed up, good hind angulation & moves freely; 2 Mitchell’s Bronia Callista, shaded red of excellent type & proportions. Would prefer a more elegant head, is still a bit narrow in front but well ribbed up, moves with lots of drive & keeping her topline all the time, perfect bone & feet. OB (7) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Summer Wine, very elegant with a lovely clean head & dark almond shaped eyes, excellent reach of neck, well laid shoulder & correct front, well presented & excels in the move. CC; 2 Clarke’s Solo’s Billion Dollar Baby among Tekalhaus, shaded red of the most beautiful type, long elegant head with lovely expression, strong tidy front, excellent depth & well ribbed up, well angulated rear gives her drive on the move. Lost to 1 just because she was a little bit lazy when moving. RCC.
