There was an entry of 47 from 41
dogs and only one absentee, which is unusual these days. I always enjoy judging
this variety; they are outgoing and positive in attitude4 with great
temperaments. A bit mixed in quality but I had plenty of good dogs and bitches
for the main awards.
V(2) 1 Garlick's Ranglewood Evelyn. B/t bitch of 9 yrs and absolutely
no sign of old age creeping up, lovely head, intelligent dark eyes, held her
topline perfectly on the move, good coat and body, game and animated mover and
showgirl. 2 Hutton's Owlery Majestic Of Dachalune ShCM. Ten and a half yrs,
shaded red, handsome old boy who was feeling the heat a little, masculine head,
good bone, clean, well presented coat, moved ok, if a bit lazily coming back,
well handled.
PD(3) 1 &BP, Roberts' Swansford Kestador. 10 mths red of excellent
type, quality head, splendid coat and condition, well proportioned, no
exaggerations, free, mover with plenty of power coming from his hindquarters,
full of promise. 2 Brearley's Labbadax Eyecatching Shadow At Xanadax. Eleven and
a half mths b/t, good head and eye, clean neckline, sturdy body, good bone,
moved well behind but not as good in front action as first. 3 Marks' Labbadax
Early Eclipse.
JD(2) 1 McNaughton's Cedavoch Under A Spell. 16 mths, shaded red in
good form, noble head and bearing, expressive eyes, prominent breast bone, well
coated and conditioned, masculine without any sign of coarseness, easy mover,
steady showman. 2 Paskin's Bronia Mr Tod At Kindeace At Kindeace. Yearling,
alert expression and did not miss a trick, good body and coat, well ribbed up,
firm topline, moved ok behind but room for improvement in front.
PGD(1) 1 Wren's Zarcrest Calvin Klein Betwixt Thebalicious ShCM.
LD(4) 1 Hutton's River Rumpus Through Dachalune. 4 yrs b/t with a real
spring in his step, moved very well going round, attractive head, good body,
deep chest, clean coat, handled to best advantage. 2 Cook &Rhodes' Abydachs
Rides The Storm To Bournder. Four and a half yrs, lovely coat and colour,
masculine head, good outline, lots of character, moved and showed ok, to be
picky, he was just a little 'tired' in front. 3 Brearley's Metadale Major Impact
On Xanadax.
OD(6) 1, CC &BOB and 4th in Hound Group, Boyle's Ch Zarcrest Hugo Boss.
Won a lovely class where I had plenty of choice. Self assured two and a half yr
old in excellent coat, very fit and well muscled, good length of head,
expressive eyes, good reach of neck, super body and topline, arrogant showman
who moved so well, responded well to his handler. 2 &RCC, Hutton's Rolo Rascal
Over Dachalune ShCM. 4 yrs, positive all male with masculine head, lovely coat,
good bone, moved with plenty of drive, good muscletone, correct topline on the
move, occasionally a tad slack in topline when standing. 3 Mitchell's Ch Bronia
Mr Pepys. Completed a really good trio, who could, and probably do change
places.
PB(3) Three nice puppies. 1 Mitchell's Bronia No Peeping. Feminine
puppy of eight and a half mths, pleasing head and expression, plenty of body,
good coat, well handled, moved freely, topline still needs to improve. 2
Paskin's Kindeace Rita Ora. 8 mths, good neckline, sturdy body, attractive head,
dark eyes, well presented coat, a little long in loin. 3 Nightingale's Rodima
Megan Mayhem At Rodima.
JB(3) 1 Garlick's Ranglewood Diamond Heist. 15 mths b/t, grandaughter
of VB, feminine head, expressive eyes, well proportioned, moved with animation,
good body, clean and well presented, bit of a fidget on the stack.
PGB(1) 1 Garlick's Ranglewood Idesia. 3 yrs b/t, eager and animated on
the move, pleasing head but I would prefer a darker eye, prominent breastbone,
excellent coat, no more weight please, but this did not affect her movement at
all, showed well.
LB(8) 1 &RCC, Garlick's Ranglewood Justica. Two and a half yrs
b/t, like all the Dachshunds, shown by this exhibitor, moved with good drive and
propulsion. Excellent type, quality head, well cared for coat, held her topline
on the move, firm body, good ribcage. 2 Mitchell's Bronia Miss Moppet. Only 12
mths, so obviously lacking a little in maturity, but should and willing, good
potential. Attractive head, good overall proportions, needs more coat to
complete the picture. 3 McNaughton's Cedavoch Kismet.
OB(8, 1) 1 &CC, Geeson's Abydachs Summer Lovin. Three and a half yrs,
well balanced, very good head, strong body, well ribbed up, excellent coat and
condition, good ring presence, plenty of energy and style on the move, showed
with composure. 2 Roberts' Swansford Whoopydora. Two and a half yrs, pretty
bitch, feminine with lots to like, well constructed with a firm topline and
quarters. 3 Clarke's Solo's Billion Dollar Baby Among Tekalhaus (Imp USA).
