My thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge at this show which has become a Summer holiday for so many exhibitors. I appreciate the lovely entry and I also am grateful to my two stewards for their hard work on the day.
I found most of the dogs to be very clean and presented in good condition. Bites without exception were correct although there were some with missing pre-molars. I thought toplines were good and I felt size had improved since my last appointment without too many very large heavy animals on show.
I was surprised to find a few nervous ones and I hope that is not a trend creeping in, or perhaps not many judges temperament test in this variety?
I was extremely pleased with my principal winners.

-------------------
1st Best Vet. Sutton DAMAI MASTER BENEDICTSh. CM
B/T Good overall make and shape and size. Moved out and covered the ground. Excellent condition for his 9.5yrs. Pleasing head and neck, level topline, well ribbed up, sound temperament.
2nd. Alford and Worth SWANSFORD PUKKADOR AT DEESEEDAX
Lost to winner for being not so clean in neck and shoulder. Another classical head. Carrying enough weight and this showed in the movement which didn’t flow as well as first.
Minor P D 3/0abs
----------------------
1st BPD Lewis TRIXHUND EUPHORIA
Clear red of correct size and good type. Liked his head and eye. Developing correctly all through. More elegant than second. Moved well enough and will tighten in time. Held his topline.
2nd Dunbar DAAMISTICO KAMALI
Gave way to first in maturity and movement. Head pleasing and front well made. Rather heavier made.
PD 1/0abs
-------------
1st Lewis TRIXHUND CLASSIC EUPHORIAť
B/T Litter brother to previous winner but not as forward. Rather loose behind but has good head and similar type with same correct size and shape.
JD 4/2abs
------------
1st Roberts SWANSFORD KESTADOR
Liked this shaded red d for size and type. Head and eye were good. Confident mover who covered the ground, but just needs to muscle up behind to really get the tight drive going and then will be in contention.
2nd Duchesne DARSOMS ZIFI OF SCANDELL
This young d needs a little more time to complete the picture as he is in the in between stage at the moment. Promising though and will pull it together I'm sure.

1ST Res CC Dare ZARCREST MARC JACOBS AT DARSOMS
Shaded red of quality. Liked his head, feet, bone, and eye. Has a good front which is not over done. Well placed shoulders and tight elbows. Presented and handled beautifully. Correct height to length of one to two. Moved with style and drive. Liked him very much indeed.
2nd Negus TARRAMIST DOM PERIGNON
Another quality d who was a shade bigger than one and I just preferred the head of one, but otherwise it was a close decision. Another positive mover who had flair and style which I was looking for.
3rd Duchesne “BRONIA PRIAM OF SCANDELL”
LIMIT D 3/0abs
---------------------
1st Hutton RIVER RUMPUS THROUGH DACHALUNE
B/T very sound. Good ribbing with tight elbows. Tight feet. Correct height to length ratio. Level topline.
2nd Lewis BRONIA CHAOS AT TRIXHUND Sh CM
Shaded red with pleasing head. Good front, slightly longer cast than first. Ribbing ok, elbows not quite as tight as one, movement good.
3rd McNaughton CEDAVOCH UNDER A SPELL

-------------------
1st CC BOB Mitchell CH. BRONIA MR PEPYS
Excellent size and correct height to length ratio. Front correct and not overdone. Good ground clearance. Head, eye, bone, feet all good. Shoulders and elbows correct. Well ribbed back. Particularly liked his movement which demonstrated drive and style with good head carriage. Full of personality and arrogance.
2nd Boyle CH. ZARCREST HUGO BOSS
Presentation on this d was copybook without a hair out of place. Larger frame than first and construction good throughout but not moving with the verve or drive of first today. However, a lovely d who appeared a little tired today.
3rd Dare ZARCREST PACO RABANNE AT DARSOMS
Vet B 1/0abs

1st Fricker VILLAGE STORM AT DACHSLUR
Shaded red with good head and bone. Teeth good. Carrying a little extra weight which detracted in the challenge for best veteran. Enjoyed her day.
MPB 6/1abs
---------------
Lewis 1st TRIXHUND ENDLESS EUPHORIAť
Yet another from this litter and this time B/T. Pretty b of the same good type, size and height to length ratio. Confident mover with a pleasing head.
2nd Dunbar DAAMISTICO NAIRA
Bigger all round than first and not as tight in elbow as yet. Good head and eye, front correct, profuse coat, movement sound.
3rd Garlick RANGLEWOOD TEMPEST

1st CC BP Mitchell PRAMADAS ZANDRA AT BRONIA SL [IMP USA]
Gorgeous B/T with everything to like. Head, eye, feet and bone all good. Lovely size and not overdone in front. Could come up on the leg a shade for perfection. Coat a bit at sixes and sevens on the topline at present and this might give the appearance that she is not level on the move but that is not the case, it is only the coat and her back line is correct. I think she is a most exciting prospect and will make headlines as she develops. Personality plus just adds to her repetoire. Super to go over with flowing neck moving into correct shoulder and then running on to her lovely rib cage. Only being a baby stopped her beating Mr Pepys today!
2nd Nightingale WHARTONA MEGAN MAYHAM AT RODIMA
Red of heavier build with very pleasing head. Rather unlucky to meet such a super puppy in this class. Well off for bone and has good ribbing. Confident and showed with verve.
3rd. Cheese SUECASEUS JULIET

1st Geeson ABYDACHS VISION OF THE NIGHT
Red. Very close between one and two in this class and only this exhibit being a touch tidier in front coming at me clinched the placing. Both were of lovely type and size, both had lovely heads and expressions. I liked the bone and feet on both exhibits. I moved them again at the end and I really had to nitpick to make a decision. I am sure another day it will be a different order.
2nd Dare and Guy DARSOMS ZINDZI
Another red girl with the same remarks applying as mentioned. Two very pleasing juniors.
3rd Eve. SUNDAYSHILL ANASTSIA
PG B 6/0abs
----------------
1st Negus TARRAMIST KRUG ROSE
Rather stood away in this class. Red with good head and easy movement. Presented and handled well. Good size and type. Well ribbed back, held topline, arrogant head carriage.
2nd Garlick RANGLEWOOD IDESIA
B/T in larger mould with slightly less feminine head. Good eye and expression. Moved well enough and handled to advantage. Well off for bone with good feet and legs.
3rd Eve “ DACHSLUR MAIRI MY DREAM
L B 8/3abs
--------------
1st McNaughton CEDAVOCH KISMET
Shaded red with good movement. Correct size. Bone, front, topline and coat all good. Front and back end both well angulated. Preferred animation of this exhibit over second.
2nd. Garlick RANGLEWOOD JUSTICA
B/T and heavier through than first. Similar remarks apply but not the sparkle of one. More reserved girl.
3rd. Eve DACHSLUR DIAMOND FANCY FREE AT SUNDAYSHILL

1st Res CC Geeson CH ABYDACHS SUMMER LOVIN
Headed a good class of quality bitches all of whom had super temperaments.
Red of correct size and pleasing type. Beat two on tidier rear movement. Lovely headpiece and correct eye. Lovely front, bone and feet. Kept a good outline on the move. Worthy champion and a quality exhibit.
2nd Roberts SWANSFORD WHOOPYDORA
Shaded red of good construction. Another lovely profile mover and similar remarks apply as to the winner. A shade softer in muscle than one and it showed in the drive from behind but it was a close run thing. It’s tough at the top!
3rd Harris and Winchurch ZARCREST DEVIL WEARS PRADA
