L/h Dachshunds
PD (2) Two promising puppies. 1 Horn’s Darsoms Zabbi, clear red, still very much a baby, a little reluctant to move. Good head & expression, lovely body shape, bone & size, moved true fore & aft; 2 Rodrigues’ Darsoms Zantor, red of larger type with pleasing head. Good neck and outline, moved out well keeping a lovely profile picture. Little between these two. JD (2) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood Arashi, handsome youngster with good shaped head & length of neck, shoulder with tight elbows. Firm topline, nicely angulated quarters, used well on the move; 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Seize The Night, also a very handsome boy. Pleasing all round body shape, balanced outline, moved soundly both ways. PGD (2,1a) 1 Cook & Rhodes’ Bournder Regency Malachite, b/t, larger type, houndy head, dark eye & good reach of neck. Shoulder OK. Strong rear, moved very well, just would have liked a tidier coat. LD (3) 1 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale Maluda, quality clear red boy. Good size, good head shape & length of neck into good shoulder angles, balanced body & neat rear, true positive mover, looked good in profile; 2 Chapman’s Melminds Zsylvester, another lovely boy, close up to 1. Masculine head, with good bone, shoulder & topline. Correct quarters, moved round with ease & style; 3 Hagan & Borsuk’s What A Corker at Follypaws. OD (5) 1 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Mr Pepys, handsome red male, good proportions & balanced all through. Most pleasing head & expression. Good angulation at both ends. Good coat, well presented. Sound true mover keeping a good outline, pleased to award CC & BOB, & G3; 2 Cook & Rhodes’ Abydachs Rides The Storm to Bournder, lovely make & shape. Houndy head with long neck. Clean shoulders, ribbing well back, neat quarters, good coat & condition. Moved very well; 3 Hagan & Borsuk’s Ir Ch Badamtam’s Via Baltica at Follypaws. VD (1) 1 Sutton’s Damai Master Benedict, loved this b/t boy of 10½ years. Super head & neck, lovely balanced body construction, everything fits as it should. Moved steady & soundly. Holding his outline in profile, well deserved RCC.
PB (2,1) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Viva La Vida, clear red puppy full of class, feminine head & reachy neck into good shoulder, ribbing well back into neat angulated quarters. Moved round easily with style, keeping a lovely outline. BP. JB (1) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood Tempest, red girl, lovely head & expression, solid balanced body. Moved with drive. PGB (3) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood Diamond Heist, b/t of good size, fair head with enough neck & level topline with good spring of ribbing & well let down quarters, good hind movement, little wide in front coming back; 2 Lumley’s Tarramist Tsarine, red girl, larger type, nice to go over & moved very well. Just preferred topline of 1 on the move; 3 Cheese’s Suecaseus Juliet. LB (5) 1 Cook & Rhodes’ Bournder Ruby Empress, stylish shaded red, correct head & length of neck into well laid shoulders & ribbing well back, to sound angulation, moved freely with drive; 2 Garlick’s Ranglewood Idesia, b/t honest girl who moved so well. Not the elegance of 1 but lovely to go over. Solid balanced although, moved round keeping a good outline; 3 Sutton’s Lillymai Flower by Damai. OB (5,1) 1 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale Manane, two quality exhibits, who I am sure will change places on other days but today this red girl took my eye. Most appealing head with good reach of neck, into very clean shoulders. Balanced firm body into correct let down quarters, with good bend of stifle. Lovely to watch on the move. Well presented & handled. CC; 2 Mitchell’s Bronia Callista, similar remarks, lovely quality girl with good bone & feet, so well balanced which showed as she moved round with drive, & was handled & presented very well. RCC; 3 Garlick’s Ranglewood Justica. VB (1) 1 Chapman’s Darsoms Ziana at Melminds, this girl looked lovely for 7 years. Feminine head, nicely placed shoulder in lovely condition & moved very well. Looked to be enjoying her day.
