A quality entry with several outstanding dogs in both sexes. However, there was even more quality in males than in bitches, which in my experience is an exception to the rule.
PD (1) 1 Bronia True Legacy, this beautiful puppy provided the best possible start to my day. He is so well proportioned, so well balanced & so well constructed, making for a beautiful outline. Very typical, quality head, very attractive expression. Long & well set neck. Well developed in forechest, especially for his young age. Excellent topline, well angulated both ends. Even at this young age an excellent mover. I wrote in my notes: “can anybody beat him today?” The answer was “yes”, as I was fortunate to have some lovely adult males who could beat him on maturity. But I made the decision to award him BP over his CC-winning litter sister. For sure a star in the making. JD (2) 1 Bonavoir James Hobbs, very masculine b/t, well developed & deep male who covers very good ground. I would prefer some more refinement in his head. Strong neck. Already has plenty of keel, very good return of upper arm. Firm topline. I would like him slightly shorter in loin. Well angulated behind. Deep & capacious chest. Sound mover; 2 Africandawns Night Lement, a somewhat rangy young dog. I preferred his head to the winner, but his front & forechest is nowhere near as good. Pleasing neck & topline. He moved quite well from the side, but needs to stabilise in elbows. Coat of pleasing quality, if not very rich on the way. PGD (7) 1 Tarramist Iron Man, this dog could serve as a lesson to others when it comes to perfect conditioning; he is rock hard & still not bulky in any way. Quality, well chiselled head, but somewhat staring in his expression. Low set ears. Strong neck, good keel. Deep & capacious body of medium length & with a slight arch over his loin. Excellent feet. Sound & well balanced in movement; 2 Bonavoir Double’O’Seven, a very eyecatching young dog, more than anything because of his long neck. Head not his fortune. I found this dog very interesting & I think he has excellent future potential, but right now he is a bit of a caricature & needs to mature & collect himself. Lovely coat & colour. Excellent drive from the side, but needs to stabilise. When fully mature this dog might be able to challenge the best; 3 Darsoms Zabbi. LD (6,1) 1 Africandawns Night Hawk, a lovely well balanced dog, very honest & without exaggeration, very well constructed & hard to fault. To me his lovely well chiselled head was the best in the whole entry, & was topped by the stunning expression from his well shaped dark eyes. Moderate neck. Pleasing forechest. Sound, functional feet. Excellent topline with length of back & short in loin. Balanced angulation behind. Beautiful coat that enhanced rather than hid his silhouette. An efficient mover with pride & balance from the side & stable as seen from the front, would certainly deserve to be a champion. RCC; 2 Tarramist Dom Perignon, another instantly attractive dog, masculine. Not the head of the winner. Lovely keel & excellent return of upper arm. Somewhat shorter in his brisket & with some tendency to hunch up when standing. He relaxed in movement & then improved significantly in outline. Particularly supple in movement & has excellent drive. Typical coat; 3 Darzoms Zimbro. OD (5) 1 Ch Zarcrest Hugo Boss, even in this high quality entry, to me this dog stood out clearly & won with something in hand. What set him apart more than anything else is his fabulous neck which is both long & strong & perfectly set. He is also very well proportioned, well constructed & combines strength & substance with quality to an optimal degree. He has a strong, masculine head, & even if it is not my favourite part of him, his head is fully acceptable. Enough forechest. Strong topline, balanced angulation both ends. Beautiful coat & colour. He is a sound & efficient mover from all angles, stylish, balanced & with a lovely carriage, expertly presented. It was a delight to judge a dog of such high quality. Thank you! CC & BOB; 2 Swansford Warrador, another very attractive dog, well balanced, truly sound & a great mover. Strong head, I would not want it any stronger, pleasing expression. Excellent forechest, but not the neck of the winner. Very well ribbed. He covers good ground with correct length in the brisket & back as opposed to loin. Beautiful, well conditioned coat. A lovely, sound, energetic & very efficient mover from any angle & used the neck that he has to his advantage on the move. Another worthy of a champion title; 3 Ch Bronia Lotario.
MPB (4) Obviously a class with puppies in the spurt of growth, most of them at this time rather unbalanced. 1 Dachalune Abella, elegant, feminine b/t bitch with a refined head, still very puppyish, but attractive in her expression. Good neck. Moderate angulation in front & I would prefer some more bone & substance. Scored in balance on the mover over her competition; 2 Lilia Rose at Damai, a stronger bitch with better bone. Pleasing head shape & proportions. Large, but very dark eyes. Lovely temperament. At this stage rather high behind. Moved reasonably well coming & going; 3 Dachalune Araxia. PB (3,1) Two attractive bitches, the winner still won with something in hand. 1 Bronia Previous Legacy, top quality, elegant, feminine bitch, instantly attractive & beautiful. Definitely not a large bitch, with everything in balance. Lovely head with a bright & alert expression from her well placed & well shaped eyes. Pleasing neck, well set. Well angulated in front. Excellent topline. Balanced angulation behind. She moved with such style, carriage & co-ordination that I knew she would be hard to beat, & indeed she ended up with the CC; 2 Dachalune Annysia, feminine bitch puppy with an attractive head, of a more compact type than the winner. Long neck, could be smoother set. Very well developed in body. Not the elegance of the winner neither standing nor moving, but quite a positive mover. JB (3) 1 Bronia Atalanta, an instantly attractive, handsome bitch with a lovely silhouette. Feminine head, could do with somewhat flatter cheeks & less fullness of eyes. Strong neck, well set. Very well constructed in front. Excellent topline, well ribbed. Well angulated behind. Moved with suppleness & drive & parallel coming & going. Well presented. One for the near future, she was considered for the top awards; 2 Trixhund You Are My World, another attractive bitch with quality. Not the front of the winner neither standing nor moving. Pleasing neck & topline. Balanced angulation behind. Moved very light on her feet from the side, somewhat proud of her tail, needs to stabilize in front with maturity. Well shown & in a beautiful coat; 3 Bronia Beguiling at Africandawns. PGB (7,1) 1 Tekalhaus Million To One, well balanced, attractive bitch of excellent type & overall balance, elegant & feminine. Quality head on the fine side, lovely expression, could do with more strength of muzzle. Moderate neck, well set. Very good front. Deep & capacious body, well ribbed all the way. Sound & efficient on the move, & even if carrying slightly too much weight, she won this class with something in hand; 2 T You Are My World; 3 Dachslur Diamond Desire at Tarramist. LB (4) 1 Darsoms Zangel, a very well made bitch, eyecatching, even if certainly not a large bitch. Attractive head, beautiful expression. She scored heavily with her lovely neck. Deep chest, well ribbed, excellent return of upper arm. Not in coat condition on the day. Sound, efficient mover, especially from the side & from the front; 2 Abydachs Giving Off Sparks, another eyecatcher, if for somewhat different reasons. She scores in elegance over substance. Rather refined head that could do with some more strength. Not the best layback of shoulder, resulting in a tendency to ewe-neck. Excellent topline. Beautiful, well conditioned coat. Moved very light on her feet, very stylish & with her head held proudly. Very well handled; 3 Suecaseus Desdemona. OB (6,1) The first two bitches in this class stood out clearly for overall quality, even if they are rather different from each other. 1 Ch Bronia Miss Moppet, very well balanced bitch with particularly pleasing proportions. Attractive, feminine head, eyes just dark enough. Medium long neck, well set, but with somewhat untidy coat over her shoulders made for closer inspection. Deep & capacious chest, lovely keel. Ideal topline, well angulated behind. She moved particularly well from the side & from behind, but lost on front stability to her look-alike puppy daughter. RCC; 2 Ch Bournder Ruby Empress, larger bitch, still definitely feminine. Beautiful head & expression. Normal neck, rather broad in front, deep & capacious, I would not want her any deeper than this. Firm topline. She moved efficiently & soundly. Coat not in optimal condition, but with correct structure; 3 Tarramist Krug Rose.
