Many thanks for the lovely entry.Presentation was good all through.All mouths
were correct and teeth clean..Temperaments were all good.Size was reasonably
uniform.Although the foreign exhibits didn't fit to my interpretation of our UK
standard in all instances they must be applauded on their sound, free and true
movement.They all drove from behind and had good reach in front.I felt in
general quality was very mixed.Feet and nails in many instances needed attention
and
could have improved the appearance of some hounds.There is no need for untrimmed
nails.Front assembly is still a worry.Lack of forechest,forward shoulders,short
upper
arms.An alarming number of short keels which I haven't been as aware of in the
past in standard longs appear to be creeping into our beautiful breed.True
driving
movement I also feel is disappearing with lack of front extension and driving
movement from behind.I felt bitches were stronger in quality than males.In
places
it was down to a personal preferance on type I prefer.The bitch line up was
lovely.I was delighted with my principle winners and thought the BOB did the
breed
proud with his performance in the Hound Group.

Super class to start the day.I certainly didn't except to find my BOB winner in
the first class.

1st MISS E MITCHELL CH BRONIA LOTARIO JW, Super boy who had everything I was
looking for.Lovely head with dark almond eye.Strong muscular neck leading to
first class shoulders,tight elbows and the best of feet.Good width all
through,keel carried well back,excellent ribbing.Super rear angulation which he
uses to advantage and it shows in his true free movement he shows a clean set of
pads going away. His enthusiasm never wanes and belies his age. He is like
a fine wine getting better with age.He looked a picture and is a great
ambassador for the breed. CC,BOB,BVIB and delighted to see him shortlisted in
Hound Group.

Well made boy with lovely head and expression.Good length of neck well placed
forehand.Prominent forechest with good width,ribbing and keel well back.Moved
out well keeping his outline on the move.
3rd MR D J, MRS G & MISS C HUTTON CH RIVER RUMPUS THROUGH DACHALUNE SHCM
Black and tan of good size.He is well made all through,strong neck.Good width in
front,clean set of shoulders.Super bone and padded feet.Stands four
square. Moved with verve. Another showing his pads on the move.

1st S & R BURKE & MANSTON BONAVOIR BEAU GESTE Red of 10 months of nice size and
in lovely condition. Nice head and expression.Has a lenghty neck and good
forechest.Good spring of rib.Kept his topline. Good bone and feet.Still to
settle on the move.
2nd MISS SG WOOD FAULKSFOLLIE LORD FONTAROY Raw black and tan of taller type to
one.Lovely head with dark eye.Good reach of neck,tight elbows.Moved truely fore
and aft. Needs time to mature into his frame.

First two were of such a similar type and I saw later were litter brothers.

size and is well made all through.Has a lovely head and dark eye.Strong
neck,good length of ribbing.Well angulated behind. Kept his topline on the move.
