I would like to thank the officers and committee for the opportunity to judge this show.
LONG HAIIRED DACHSHUNDS.
VETERAN DOG 2:- Two lovely dogs to go over ,
1st: Cook & Rhodes, ABYDACHS RIDES THE STORM TO BOURNDER: an eight and a half year old shaded red dog, nicely constructed with a good length of ribs, that ran into a good loin and rear. Angulation was delightful both front and rear, his movement round the ring was a delight to watch as he covered the ground showing leaving many of the youngsters behind. It was a pleasure to award him Best of Breed, and see him go Best Veteran in show.
2nd: Huttons, Ch. RIVER RUMPUS THROUGH DACHALUNE Sh Ch: although there was not a lot between these two boys overall construction this eight year old Black and tan boy seemed more reluctant to move around the ring than did first.
MINOR PUPPY DOG 1:-
1ST: Johnsons: AFRICANDAWNS NIGHT TROOPER: a very babyish 7 month shaded red dog, who on the day needed to settle. He had good front angulation, however I would have liked to see slightly better ribbing and rear angulation, although I am sure that with time he will grow more into himself.
PUPPY DOG 3:-
1st: Metcalfe-Bilgin’s: METADALE MONTERAY JACK, an 11 month red dog, who despite his surplus packaging had nice shoulders, a good length of ribs, good front and rear angulation and a nice head, and despite his size moved well round the ring. Best Puppy Dog
2nd: Wedge’s: PEVERLEIGH AUTUMNAL LOUIS AT DOLANS, A red boy of similar age to first, however it was unfortunate that the two boys met today, but the fnal decision came to movement on the day.
3rd: Paskin’s : CEDAVOCH ITS TABOO AT KINDEACE
JUNIOR DOG 2:
1st: Dare’s; DARSOMS ZOCRATEES ; a nicely presented well constructed red dog of just 12 months, a good length of rib and nice angulation, who moved well round the ring. Reserve Best Dog.
2nd: Hutton’s; ABBILIS THEODEN BY DACHALUNE; A black and tan dog, slightly narrower than first, with a good length of ribs, also moved well round the ring.
POST GRADUATE DOG 0:
LIMIT DOG 1:
1st; Brearley’s: LABBADAX EYECATCHIN SHADOW AT XANDAX; a black and tan dog in good coat, with a good length of ribs that moved well round the ring.
OPEN DOG 4: a difficult class to judge with dogs of very different types
1st; Dare’s SWANSFORD LIONELLDOR DARSOMS; A well balanced red dog with a good front, nice shoulder placement and a good length of rib leading to a good rear angulation, moved well arounf the ring.
2nd: Geesons ABYDACHS SEIZE THE NIGHT; A very different type of dog, Shaded Red, with a beautiful head, good front construction, good length of ribs and follow through in the loins to a good rear. Moved better around the riing than the first however I preferred the ribs of 1st.
3rd Bennett’s SHARDAROBA’S COUNTRY FILE
CHAMPION DOG 1:
1st Mcnuaghtons CH. CEDAVOCH THE ALCHEMIST: a shaded red dog who moved well round the ring, well coated with good length of ribs, nice front and rear angulation.
VETERAN BITCH 1:
1st: Paskin’s ; CH ABYDACHS SUMMER DREAM AT KINDEACE Sh Ch. An 8 yearold red bitch, who doesn’t show her age. Beautifully constructed good front and rear angulation, good length of rib leading to a good length of loin and good rear construction, moved well but could have had a little more drive.
MIINOR PUPPY BIITCH 2 (1):
1st: Nicholson’s AFRICANDAWNS NIGHT TIIPSY AT BETSYMIRA; A black and tan 8 month bitch, carrying a little weight which doesn’t help the overall picture, making her look narrow, however she moved well round the ring.
PUPPY BITCH 1:
1st: Metcalfe-Bilgin’s METADALE MOANA; A 10 month red bitch, of a nice size beautiful front leading to a good length of rib, goodrear angulation, she could have moved with better rear action hov=wever she covered the riing well. Best Biitcb Puppy, Best Pupy in breed.
JUNIOR BITCH 2:
1st: Fossett’s BRYSDAX COCO MADEMOISELLE; A dark shaded red bitch of a nice size and shape, good length of ribs, and rear construction when she was allowed to free stand. She moved well round the ring.
2nd: Wedge’s FAULKSFOLLIE MISS MINAVER AT DOLANS; a red bitch, with a liighter coat than the fiirst at present which appeared to make her look taller, however I preferred the overall presence and movement of the 1st.
POST GRADUATE BITCH 4:
1st: Cross’s GLASVEY DOUBLE TROUBLE FOR LOGETTA; A red bitch, with a nice overall shape, beautiful front and rear angulation, good length of rib, moved well however was a little apprehensive on the table.
2nd: Cheese’s SUECASEUS JULIET; A nice sized black and tan bitch, with a good length of rib, nice rear angulation, moved well.
3rd: Sutton & Pankhurst’s LILIA ROSE AT DAMAI
LIMIT BITCH 4

2nd: Metcalfe-Bilgin’s METADALE MIDSUMMER DREAM, carrying more weight than 1st, so wasn’t able to move as well round the ring, however she had a good length and good front and back angulation.
3rd: Paskiin’s TERRIYORIA LUBVI VESNA AT KINDEACE
OPEN BITCH 2(1)
1st ABYDACHS MIRAVAL; A red Biitch, slightly lacking in coat, however iit allowed me to see the whole dog, like her sister, she had a beautiful front and an excellent length of rib, a good length of loin and a stunnning back angulation, slightly nervy on the table today but moved out round the ring well. Reserve Best Bitch
CHAMPION BITCH 4 (1)
1st: Mcnuaghtons CH CEDAVOCH CIRCE; A shaded red bitch, heavier in stature than 2nd a nice head, good front, length and rear angulation moved well round the ring. Best Bitch.
2nd: Geeson’s CH/BEL/LUX/ INT CH ABYDACHS GIVING OFF SPARKS. A more continental type of dachshund than 1st, that moved faultlessly around the ring, with a beautiful front and length of rib, however I preferred the overall picture of 1st today.
3rd : : Paskin’s ; CH ABYDACHS SUMMER DREAM AT KINDEACE Sh Ch.
