It was an honour to judge my breed at Crufts, and I thank the Committee for the invitation. My thanks to all exhibitors for a wonderful entry of quality dogs. My thanks to the excellent stewards who kept everything running smoothly.
VD (8, 1) 1 Mitchell's Ch Bronia Lotario JW. 9 yr old s/r of great quality, excellent head with good expression, correctly angulated front and rear, excellent coat and condition, moved correctly with drive, a well balanced dog. A credit to his owner. BV. 2 Burke & Manston's Loggeta John Collins. Substantial 10 yr old s/r of sound construction, excellent bone and feet with well sprung ribbing, extended well back, a steady, true mover and still holding a strong topline. 3 Negus' Tarramist Adonis Dream ShCM. An amazing 12 yrs well coated b/t with good shaped head and keen expression, prominent forechest, well angulated front with tight elbows, correct underline and strong level topline, maintained on the move.
PD (2) 1 Johnson & Cross' Africandawns Miles Long. BP. B/t, in superb condition with good flat shiney coat, good masculine head with correct dark eye. I loved his shape and size, had good width and moved well holding level topline. 2 Chapman's Africandawns Justin N Time For Melminds. 11 mth red of heavier and larger type, good head with prominent forechest and level topline, had excellent bone with good rounded feet, keel extended well back giving good underline, steady mover.
JD (3) 1 Mitchell's Bronia D'Artagnan. RCC. Super red dog with excellent head and eye, good width all through with well angulated front and rear, superb ribbing with short, strong loin, impressive in outline and a really good mover, had no hesitation in awarding him RCC. 2 Paskin's Cedavoch It's Taboo At Kindeace. Strong headed s/r of taller type than first, good front construction with adequate forechest, happy free mover holding a level topline, but would like more width in rear action. Presented in good coat condition. 3 Nicholson's Labbadax Michigan By Betsymira. Well presented red with correct head and dark almond shaped eye, well proportioned body with firm topline, good ribbing and short loin, moved truly with freedom.
PGD (11, 1) 1 Marks' Labbadax Latimer Kansas. An impressive red dog of good size and balance, correct front construction with full oval thorax and sufficient ground clearance, well ribbed with short loin and strong well angulated rear, sound mover with excellent rear extension. 2 Burke & Manston's Bonavoir Beau Geste. Impressive exhibit of larger, heavier type, very sound dog with excellent front, prominent forechest and correct sloping shoulder, tight fitting elbows, legs placed well under keel, good rear angulation and another who really showed his pads on the move. 3 Garlick's Ranglewood Harvest Song. B/t of correct size with good head and keen expression, prominent forechest with tight elbows, had well angulated firm quarters, moving smartly with drive holding a firm topline, in good hard condition.
LD (13) 1 Marks' Labbadax Lewisville Texas. Very stylish s/r in super bloom and condition, very balanced dog with correct height to length ratio, had all the essentials, good shaped head and eye, well arched neck and strong topline with well rounded firm quarters, moved well holding his impressive topline. 2 Metcalfe-Bilgin's Metadale Monteray Jack. Really liked this very elegant red of correct size and balance, best of heads with correct eye, excellent front construction with sloping shoulder and good length of upper arm, had good well bunched feet and correct underline, very sound rear action but just needs to co-operate a bit more. 3 Negus' Tarramist Iron Man. Upstanding s/r of top quality, truly masculine dog with great width all through, strong forechest and good depth of keel but plenty of ground clearance, lovely outline with graceful neck, level topline, strong quarters and good turn of stifle, moved freely and was well handled.
OD (9, 1) 1 Rhodin's Nord UCh Ornbergets Zuper Ztar Se V/17/18, WW/18, NO V/18, Nord V/17 DK V/17 (ATC AW005575SWE). CC and BOB, 2 yrs old s/r dog of good size and excellent quality, very balanced with no exaggeration, well shaped masculine head, so well constructed with reachy neck, firm topline and well angulated shoulder, had strong, firm quarters with well let down parallel hocks and always standing four square, a joy to watch on the move with his effortless ground coverate, true parallel gait and great ring presence. Did not have an excessive coat and his lovely outline was apparent at all times. Delighted to see him put up such a good performance in the Group. 2 Mitchell's Ch Bronia True Legacy. Very beautiful red dog with refined head and arrogant expression, presented an excellent outline with his lovely neckline, strong topline, well rounded quarters and well angulated rear, a stylish true mover presented in top order. A difficult decision. 3 Walker's Africandawns Night Lement. Handsome red dog of quality with impressive outline, so well constructed with correct front and keel, carried well back, good reach of neck, level topline and was well ribbed with short, strong loin, moved soundly with plenty of drive GCD (3) 1 Hagan & Borsuk's Ir Ch Badamtam's Via Baltica At Follypaws ShCM (Imp Fin). 7 yr old b/t boy of taller type, substantial dog with good head and eye, strong forechest, reachy neck and firm level topline, had well angulated quarters and a sound, free mover, well handled. 2 Wilson's Rogermardax Senor Dougal. Another 7 yr old b/t of larger and heavier type, good width all through with excellent bone and feet, masculine head with good reach of neck and level topline. A steady mover but not the freedom of first, in good coat and condition. 3 Dimon's Labbadax Inspiration For Dimerlin. Shaded red of larger type with good head and well shaped eye, well constructed front with prominent forechest and well developed oval ribcage, moved out well but not in as hard a condition as others.
VB (6) 1 Mitchell's Ch Bronia Callista. A quality 9 yr old champion and still looking good. Has all the essentials with correct head and expression, still impressive in outline with good neckline, level topline and well angulated rear, moved soundly with drive. RCC. 2 Paskin's Ch Abydachs Summer Dream At Kindeace ShCM. Another worthy champion of correct size, balance and type, good width and depth with well extended keel, moved well still holding a firm topline. Presented in excellent coat condition. 3 Chapman's Melminds Miss Dior. 8 yr old s/r of good shape and balance, plenty of substance with strong bone and best of feet, muscular neck with clean lines and good topline, had correct underline, strong quarters with short hocks and moved well.
PB (7, 2) 1 Miller & Ryan's Bronia Final Fantasy At Cavallibrook (AI). This was an excellent class of puppies which bodes good for the future and I am sure they will change places. Super elegant 11 mth red combining elegance with substance. Exquisite head with dark almond eye to match. So well constructed with everything in the right place. Was confident on the move with good ground coverage and held her topline. Must have a bright future. 2 Johnson & Cross' Africandawns EIleen Over Taf. Another eyecatching youngster with so much promise, loved her head and cheeky expression, well constructed front with correct shoulder and prominent forechest, well extended keel with pleasing underline, beautiful outline with a reachy neck, level topline and well rounded quarters. A happy, stylish mover. 3 Callow's Garthorne Charlotte. I really liked this girl of slightly heavier type, very balanced, glamorous red of great quality, excellent head with graceful neckline and strong topline, could not fault her construction and her movement was absolutely sound. One to watch out for.
JB (4) 1 McNaughton's Cedavoch Sweetest Taboo. Very substantial s/r of top quality, best of heads and construction, firm body with excellent bone and feet, well balanced with robust ribbing carried well back and short, strong loin with well rounded rump, moved beautifully with true, parallel action, good stride and stylish head carriage. 2 Callow's Garthorne Graduation Girl. A striking b/t with many similar attributes as her litter sister, good headpiece, impressive outline and same sound construction, in excellent condition with lovely flat coat, free assertive movement but at only 10 mths, giving a lot away in maturity. 3 Paskin's Kindeace Scarlett O Hara. Shaded red of larger and heavier type, sturdy, well made girl with excellent bone and feet, well balanced with good head, reachy neck and firm topline, had strong, well rounded quarters and moved well. Was shown in good coat and condition.
PGB (9, 1) 1 Marks' Labbadax La Fayette Georgia. Another excellent dog from this kennel and all presented in tip top condition, this elegant and stylish girl caught my eye on entering the ring. I liked her width and good construction with deep chest and well angulated shoulder, oval ribs extended well back, firm, level topline with short loin and well let down parallel hocks, moved truly with drive. 2 Garlick's Ranglewood Trick Or Treat. Top quality b/t of excellent type, had all the essentials with everything fitting into place, copybook front with plenty of depth and tight elbows, good spring of ribbing carried well back, firm well angulated rear with short, parallel hocks, long, low and level and just flowed proudly around the ring. A close decision. 3 Wilson's B onavoir Senorita At Rogermardax. Very well balanced red of correct size, good front construction with prominent chest bone and sloping shoulder, had plenty of bone with well rounded feet, oval shaped with ribs extended well back, short loin with well rounded strong quarters. A steady mover.
LB (8) 1 Burke & Manston's Bonavoir Ermintrude. Shaded red of neat appearance. So balanced with true front, tight elbows and correct shoulders, impressive outline with reachy neck, level topline and well angulated quarters, movement was exemplary with correct width both coming and going. Had style and drive, in hard condition and difficult to fault. 2 Johnson & Cross' Africandawns Night Wizzard. Good quality s/r of substance and strength. Had beautiful head with expressive eye and good reach of neck. I liked her depth, well filled in front and oval shape, excelled in ribbing which was carried well back, had well rounded quarters with well let down parallel hocks which accounted for her strong driving rear action. A stylish exhibit presented in lovely coat. 3 Geeson's Abydachs Kumala. Completed a trio of top class bitches. Beautiful red who really filled my eye, so well made with good width all through. Classic feminine head and correct eye shape, well constructed front with adequate prosternum and good ground clearance, keel and ribbing all good and used her strong well angulated quarters to move with drive, balanced girl and to complete the picture, sported a flat coat in gleaming condition.
OB (7, 3) 1 Geeson's Abydachs Miraval. CC. Stunning two year old red at the top of her game and I was delighted to hear that she gained her title on the day. So much to admire from her exquisite head, beautiful arched neck, true front, excellent ribbing and well rounded hammy quarters, had an immaculate topline, so good in profile, demanding attention with her proud head carriage, flowing action and length of stride, close call for BOB. 2 McNaughton's Ch Cedavoch Kismet. Fine upstanding dark shaded red of heavier and excellent type, loved her outline, strong neck, broad level back and the well muscled rounded quarters, had great depth with keel extended well back giving gentle underline. A worthy champion and looked a picture standing, but today just preferred the more feminine head and extra verve of first. Well handled, and at 6 yrs, a credit to her owner. 3 Versluis' Yasmine VD Hoefstal (ATC AW00376NLD). Shaded red of compact smaller type and with more ground clearance. Very elegant with best of heads and great reach of neck, soundly constructed with well angulated front, tight elbows, good spring of rib, correct tail set and firm, well angulated quarters, higher in hock but moved well with extension and drive.
GCB (4) 1 Eve's Dachslur Mairi My Dream At Sundayshill. 8 yr old larger s/r of pleasing type and quality. Good balanced head but would prefer smaller eye, good width, prominent forechest, ribbing carried well back and level topline, won on her steady, correct movement, maintaining her outline. 2 Eve's Sundayshill Hermione. An elegant s/r with well shaped head, keen expression and slightly arched neck, had correct front with well angulated shoulder, prominent forechest with good depth and sweep of keel, impressive topline, had plenty of ground clearance and moved well. 3 DImon's Dimerlin Isolde. 10 yr old b/t, presented in fine condition, had good strength of bone and best of feet, front construction good with ample forechest and tight elbows, firm well ribbed body and short loin, movement satisfactory and was of a happy disposition.
