PD (2) 1 Roberts’ Swansford Gregorydor. Outstanding red youngster at just under 12 mths, he oozes style and quality. I liked everything about him. In great body and condition, won this class with ease but in the challenge had to give way to the more mature and finished open winner. BP and Res DCC. Definitely one for the future. 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Return Of The Night. Only 7 mths, red and less mature than above but I loved his head and expression, nicely constructed throughout and has good style and presence. Both beautifully presented and handled.
PGD (4) Not the best class today and first two difficult to separate and no easy winner. 1 Eve’s Sundayshll Benedict. Two and a half yr old red, mature hound who is well bodied with good length and depth. I preferred his overall balance and side movement but would like him a little tighter in front and closer knit feet. 2 Chapman’s Africandawns Just N Time For Milminds. 3 yr old red, not dissimilar in style to above. Slightly preferred his head to above but I also felt he needed to tighten in front movement. 3 Wedge’s Dolan Johnny Be Good.
LD (4) Very nice class. 1 Sutton’s Kindeace Texas Tornado At Damai. Very handsome 2 yr old red, not my winner at first but he outmoved his competition with excellent free and flowing stride, well balanced head and expression, well constructed throughout, looked good standing with correct length and topline. Beat his father today and I strongly considered him for the Res CC, but just preferred the style and presence of the puppy in the challenge. I am sure he will gain his title. A really good quality hound. 2 Marks’ Labbadax Lewisville Texas. 4 yr old red, more mature hound with a lovely typical head, dark eye and correct ear set, well constructed throughout with good ribbing and short loin, good front and hind co-ordination, moved soundly, not dissimilar in style to his litter brother who won the CC today and excellent sire of above. Consistent breeder; last time I judged this breed, this males grandfather won the Res CC. 3 Cross’ Loggeta Trouble In Texas.
OD (2, 1) 1 Marks’ Labbadax Latimer Kansas. 4 yr old red in top form, masculine throughout with top quality head and expression, correct dark eye, long, clean neck into well laid shoulders, excellent front and hindquarters with deep well sprung chest, correct length and well ribbed back, looked good both standing and moving, excellent outline and topline which he kept well when moving. Very sound and enthusuiastic mover. In full coat and well presented to win the CC and BOB. Apparently his first. Many congratulations, I will watch his future with interest.
VD (1) 1 Chapman’s Melminds Zsylvester. 8 yr old rich mahogany red, masculine hound who is well constructed throughout with good front and hind angulation, well bodied, moved soundly, in great form for age, well handled. Sp Beginners D/B (2) 1 Cheese’s Ranglewood Titania At Suecaseus. 2 yr old red, not a big bitch but she has good overall balance, maturity and more together on the move than her classmate. Well presented and handled. Would like more typical head. 2 Wedge’s Dolan Summertime Blues. 13 mths red bitch, very immature compared to winner and still very raw on the move and a little unsettled today. Refined throughout, needs to body and coat up, not quite sure why she was not in Junior, but just needs time and patience.
PB (2) 1 Roberts’ Swansford Glendadora. Nearly 12 mths. Top class red, litter sister to PD winner and so similar in type, style and quality. Very mature and settled on the move. I liked everything about her and pleased to award her the Res CC as I did her brother. What a lovely pair of matching littermates. 2 Fossett’s Brysdax Skyfall. 9 mths red, less mature than above but very pretty head and dark eye, good size and pleasing outline, in great body and condition, sound front and rear, just preferred the drive of winner but very promising youngster.
JB (2) 1 Butler’s Tekalhaus Our Girl From Drymoor. Very pretty 14 mths rich red, although less mature than second, she has lovely overall balance and style, good neck, well made front and excellent feet, good depth and length with correct hind co-ordination, when settled she moved freely with good front reach and hind drive. Still a little short in coat but will come with maturity. 2 Chapman’s Melminds Maybelline. 17 mths, more mature red. At first my winner, lovely head and expression, looked good standing with good size, pleasing outline and well angled front and rear. Not as settled in the ring as above and just outmoved today. Well presented.
PGB (3) 1 Marks’ Labbadax La Fayette Georgia. 4 yrs, very mature, well constructed hound, litter sister to my DCC winner and she has a lot of his qualities. I particularly liked her head and expression. Very sound throughout, in excellent body and coat. Seriously considered her for Res CC but preferred the style and presence of puppy in the challenge. 2 Chapman’s Melminds Marina Diamonds. 3 yr old red, also in top form and difficult decision between these two excellent hounds, well balanced with good front and hind co-ordination, correct parallel movement, well bodied with good feet, slightly preferred the head and expression of winner. 3 Cheese’s African Dawns Heidiclare At Suecaseus.
LB (1) 1 Fossett’s Brysdax Mamma Mia. 3 yr old b/tan, attractive, well balanced head and dark eye, adequate length of neck into well angled shoulder, good depth and length, level topline and well ribbed up, correct angulation with sound, free movement, well presented and handled, in good coat.
OB (4, 2) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Fire In Her Soul. Just 2 yrs, gorgeous red who, although is still a little immature, she really has all the essentials. Very classy hound, feminine throughout with excellent head and expression, very nice to go over with lovely front and hind angulation which she used to advantage on the move, correct feet, excellent body, depth and spring of rib, good length with great topline which she keeps well at all times. Sound throughout and effortless, easy side movement. Pleased to award her the CC, although she had to relinquish to the more mature male for BOB. I was thrilled to hear this was her third CC and one of many more I am sure. Congratulations. 2 Miller & Ryan’s Ch Bronia Final Fantasy At Cavallibrook (AI) JW. Two and a half yr old red, another very attractive hound, excellent overall conformation, well bodied with good height and length, slightly preferred head and expression and powerful hind movement of winner today. Excellent condition and well handled.
