So good to see this variety is more uniform in size
these days and not so many of the oversized dogs around. Breeders
are to be congratulated and hopefully the breed will progress well
from this position. Some very nice dogs around and a better choice
to breed from can only be good for the future. Temperaments were
excellent & no health issues are evident from todays entry. I
thought heads in general were good as were fronts, some need
strength in the quarters which can only come from good muscle tone.
VD (1) : 1 Duchesne’s Darsoms Zamba of Scandell 8yr
old who is balanced in profile, has excellent rib shape & firm in
loin, sound rear with rounded rump, in excellent coat, moved soundly
and stands with good parallel rear legs, tail well set on & carried,
well shaped feet.
PD (3) : 1 & B. Puppy Robert’s Swansford Alexador
good skull & strong in jaw, almond eye well placed & ears settling
correctly, good strong neck & well set front, plenty rib for young
age & short loin, not exaggerated in any respect, tail well set & of
good length, has excellent shaped feet with good keel at front, at
times unsettled when moving but won on his shape & type ; 2 Wedge’s
Dolan The Last Time of a very different type to 1, pleasing in head
shape, not the front of 1 or rib shape, moved steady fore & aft but
would like more reach, in good coat, tail well set; 3 Burley & Way’s
Swansford Archerdor.
JD (2) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Darkest Night lovely
headed male with super neck & front, good keel & the desired wrap
around front, well shaped feet, well held top & under line, at times
giving his handler a hard time while stacking, sound in rear &
moving with reach & drive, tail well carried, in lovely coat which
was not over abundant. Has very good rib & short strong loin ; 2
Wedge’s Dolan Tears Of A Clown not the balanced profile picture that
1 has, needs more time to body up. Has just enough rib, would prefer
slightly shorter loin, in good coat & well muscled .
YD (1) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Return Of The Night litter
brother to 1st in Jun D, very similar notes just think this boy was
more confident & relaxed today, super head, body, neck & front,
lovely hard condition & sound well set rear, moved just as well as
his brother, two promising young males so won Res C.C. over his
brother today who I considered further, on another day could easy
swap places.
PGD (1) : 1 Wedge’s Dolan Jonny Be Good, pleasing on
stack, has a well shaped head which is balanced & strong under jaw,
holds his top line well both stacked & moving, in lovely condition
with well presented coat of good texture, moved with purpose.
LD (3-1) : 1 Duchesne’s Darsoms Zyjosh of Scandell
proper fidget on the stack today so difficult to get a good profile
picture, playing up his handler & trying his best to throw 1st place
away. Has a balanced head, good neck, particularly good rear,
rounded rump, well set tail & powerful driving action ; 2 Eve’s
Sundayshill Benedict moved well in front but not as positive from
his rear, pleasing front, correct rib, little long in loin for me,
tail well set & carried, has good size & shaped feet.
OD (3) 1 Cross’s Ch Loggetta Trouble In Texas a dog I
have liked & done well previously, today he was on top form and
never put a foot wrong, very desirable head that appeals greatly,
well set ears, lovely almond eye correctly placed, strong in front
with well balanced shoulder & upper arm, good keel, he is able to
hold his top & under line firmly and never stood wrong, moved with
ease, the desirable front reach & drive from his powerful hocks
easily identified, in lovely coat & strong muscular condition, top
quality male who well deserved top spot today, C.C. & B.O.B. 2
Robert’s Ch Swansford Gregorydor another who has attracted my
attention at shows and was lovely to handle. Very pleasing in head,
neck & shoulders, most lovely eye shape & expression, the best of
rib & loin proportions, holds his top line & under line well on move
but sadly today on stack was dropping his rear, just got the feeling
he did not want to perform today but we all have off days. Very
worthy Champion who I greatly admire for soundness & breed type. 3
Pike & Carter’s Zarcrest George Clooney.
MPB (2-1) : 1 Foley’s Beauty Long, feminine with long
neck but would like a more muscular look to her neck, strong jaw,
has a good keel & well shaped feet, lacking any co-ordination on the
move both front & back, needs to settle & work with her owner. Has a
good coat which is well presented.
PB (1) 1 Burley’s Swansford Almadora, litter sister
to puppy d, feminine & pleasing body balance, good strong jaw, would
like a touch more length to her skull to balance out her head, very
well bodied for young age & very abundant in profuse coat, moved
well & has a well set tail which she carried at a correct angle when
moving.
JB (1) 1 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Blithe Spirt, very
desirable young b who I could watch move all day. She did this with
great ease & precise footing while holding a lovely top line and her
profile was a picture to behold. Balanced in skull & fore face of
conical shape, well set ears. Lovely expression from her almond
shaped well set eyes, she is not heavy in any way but has lovely
bone & substance to do her original job, she stands soundly at the
rear with a correct tail set, in excellent condition & handled just
right. No hesitation to award her the C.C. & thrilled to hear she
had won her well deserved crown earlier that day at the breed club
show.
YB (1) : 1 Foley’s Loggeta Wynn ByMyles pleasing for
size, despite being a little heavy in rib held her top line well,
short strong loin, sound rear drive but would like more reach from
her front, lovely tail set & carriage, has well shaped feet of good
size.
LB (4) : 1 Whitfield-Robert’s Swansford Gleighdora
presents a balanced profile picture on stack, most lovely head shape
with strong jaw & good strong dentition, excellent neck & front with
good keel, lovely rib shape, short firm loin, has a well balanced
shoulder & upper arm correctly in position, I felt she moved well
but a little more enthusiasm would benefit her, very nice girl ; 2
Pike & Carter’s Zarcrest Angelina Jolie at Breezily, lovely headed
feminine b, for me longer cast in body than 1 and hence did not have
the top line either, she was moving well but top line was not held,
has good shaped big feet, stands sound in rear with tail of good
length, set & carriage, correct coat. 3 Cheese’s Africadawns Heidi
Clare at Suecaseus.
OB (6,3) : 1 Geeson’s Ch Abydachs Fire In Her Soul
not yet 3 this feminine well shaped girl is both pleasing in profile
and moves with ease, like her size and desirable rib & loin. Ultra
feminine head but no way sniper & weak, strong jaw & excellent
dentition, powerful well set neck, shown & handled to perfection &
not rushed around the ring, well shaped feet, tail well carried &
set on her rounded rump, in hard muscle tone & coat presented well,
worthy of her title but had to settle for Res C.C. today. 2
McNaughton’s Ch Cedavoch Spellbound, another quality b well worthy
of her title & one I would happily give top honours, loved her head
shape with very desirable eye & expression, has good rib, slightly
longer loin than 1, sound well set hindquarters & lovely tail set.
She also moved soundly & precise footing ; 3 Cheese’s Ranglewood
Titania At Suecauseus.
