I would like to thank Boston & DCS CH Show for inviting me to judge at their Show. I would also like to thank exhibitors for their entry. I thoroughly enjoyed my day, and I had some excellent quality dogs to go over. Generally, all dogs were well turned out and in good condition. I did make a few observations, mainly in Miniature Longs and Standard Wires, around shoulders and size. It has been a while since I have judged standard Wires and their size seems to be creeping up. This showed up in their movement, making it appear laboured. I was delighted to see my BOB Standard Long to win Group 1.
PD (1) 1 Wedge’s Dolan The Last Time. 7 month old dog which needs to grow and settle. Good masculine head, lovely gentle expression. Good length of neck. Shoulder placement could be bit further back. Good length of keel and ribbing. Moved well, topline still soft on the move.
JD (2, 1) 1 Wedge’s Dolan Tears Of A Clown. Litter brother to above. Beautiful strong masculine head with correct eyes. Good length of neck flowing down to correct shoulders. Excellent length of keel and ribbing, strong short loin. Good hind angulation. Moved out well, holding a good topline. BP & RBD.
PGD (1) 1 Wedge’s Dolan Dock Of The Bay. Very excited to be out today. Overall balanced outline. Good masculine head with good eyes. Good length of neck. Would prefer better should placement and more length of ribbing. Correct ground clearance and good hind angulation. Moved well holding his topline.
OD (4) 1 Cross’ Ch Loggeta Trouble In Texas. Stunning boy oozing elegance. Lovely type and quality of good size and balance throughout. Correct ground clearance. Stunning masculine head, correct eyes. Elegant neck flowing down to good shoulders. Well ribbed back and strong short loin. Excellent topline, correct hind angulation. Solid topline all the way through. Moved with purpose, using those hind quarter to power him. Presented in im- maculate condition. BOB & Group 1. 2 Paskin’s Kindeace Texas Ranger. Beautiful balanced dog loved the deep red colour. Good masculine head, with correct eyes and expression. Good length of neck flowing to good shoulders. Good length of keel and ribbing. Good hind angulation. Topline not as solid on the move as first.
JB (1) 1 Lewis’ Mimosa Rude. Lovely looking bitch, with a stunning conical head. European type with slightly more ground clearance, but balanced outline. She was full of beans today. Good length of neck, I would prefer more length of ribbing. Good hind angulation, moved out well.
PGB (4) 1 Wood’s Faulksfollie Lady Gemima. Stunning and very balanced bitch of correct proportions and ground clearance. Correct shape of head and eyes. Good length of keel and ribbing, strong short loin. Good hind angulation. Excellent topline on the move. Nothing exaggerated on her. BB. 2 Foley’s Loggeta Wynn By My Les. Another lovely bitch. Balanced and of correct ground clearance. Good feminine head and correct eyes. Neck little bit stuffy. Good shoulders and length of keel and ribbing. Good hind angulation and held her topline on the move.
OB (1) 1 Paskin’s Territoria Lubvi Vesna At Kindeace. Feminine bitch. Good shape of head and eye. Decent front, good reach of neck. Good length of keel and ribbing. Hind movement slightly narrow. Topline gives on the move. RBB.
Sp Beg B (1) 1 Foley’s Loggeta Wynn By My Les. Another lovely bitch. Balanced and of correct ground clearance. Good feminine head and correct eyes. Neck little bit stuffy. Good shoulders and length of keel and ribbing. Good hind angulation and held her topline on the move. BSB.
