Vet (1) 1 Chapman’s Melminds Zylvester:- Shaded red 9 yr old male, lovely example to start the day, confident and happy entering the ring, tail wagging and enjoying himself. He has good breed type, a lovely masculine, houndy head that is correct in shape and proportion, with a dark almond eye and kind expression. He has a good reach of neck; shoulders are well laid back with a prominent and well filled oval fore chest that has good width through brisket. His ribs are well sprung and carried back to strong, well angulated and muscled hind quarters and strong “hammy” thighs. He has good bone and moves around the ring displaying reach and drive and was parallel moving out and back. His coat is correct and not too profuse, and it was presented in “tip top” condition. A credit to his owner. B.V
JD (2) 1 Dare`s, Darsoms Zoldare:- 14mth red male with good breed type. He has a conical head, a dark almond eye with a good reach of neck, a prominent oval fore chest, shoulder is nicely laid back to a good length and spring of rib that is carried back to a short and strong loin. His hind quarters are broad and well developed, have a good turn of stifle and “hammy” thighs that have width and depth. He has good bone and feet and moved confidently around the ring elbows neatly in, maintaining his top-line and was true and parallel moving out and back. His coat is good in texture, not too profuse lying close to his body and was presented in lovely gleaming condition. An honest young hound still with maturing to do and is nicely balanced throughout to complete the picture. 2 Geeson`s, Abydachs Darkest Night: - Another quality youngster, 13mths old, dark shaded red who is built on classic lines, is well balanced and also has good breed type. Same comments apply here regarding construction and movement as to 1st, both are lovely examples of this variety and both would be worthy of a red card today, but I could only award one and as they stood before me on the day, I found the 1st to be slightly more mature at this stage. He is a lovely young dog who was presented in beautiful condition, as is usual from this kennel in full gleaming coat and was correct in volume and texture.
YD (1) 1 Clarkes Tekalhaus The Excelsior: - 19mth red male who is lighter framed throughout. His head is correct in shape and proportions and has a dark almond eye. He has a nice reach of neck a prominent pro sternum, good lay back of shoulder, but would prefer more length of rib to give a shorter, stronger loin. His hind quarters are broad and well developed and he has a good bend of stifle and strong hammy thighs. He moved easily and confidently around the ring thoroughly enjoying himself and was presented in lovely condition, his coat not too profuse and was good in texture and volume.
PGD (2) 1 Wedge`s, Dolan Dock Of The Bay: - 2 ½ yrs. old shaded red is fairly well balanced, was presented in full coat that had good volume and texture. He has a masculine, conical head and a dark almond shaped eye, a prominent oval fore chest, shoulder angle is o.k and his ribs are sprung and carried back to a short loin and broad and well-developed rear quarters. He stands on good bone and feet and moved around the ring with plenty of enthusiasm maintaining his top line. 2 Elsley and Booth, Abbalongdat Eagle: - Mature red male who was well presented with a full coat that was in lovely condition. He has a correct head, a dark eye and kind expression, and his neck and shoulder is o.k. He has a prominent oval fore chest, good spring of rib and broad well developed hind quarters. He moved out steadily around the ring and out and back and was well presented.
LD 1 Burke, Bonavoir Secret Assignment: - 2yr old black and tan, is a nice make and shape, fairly well balanced in outline, with good breed type and was presented with his coat in lovely condition. He has a “houndy” head with a dark almond eye and reach and arch of neck. His fore quarters are well constructed and angulated, he has a prominent pro sternum, shoulder is laid back and his ribs are well sprung and carried back to a short and strong loin and broad and well-developed hind quarters. He stands on good bone with neat feet and moved around the ring with a free and easy stride elbows in maintaining his top line and won the class with his construction and sound and true movement. 2 Sutton, Kindeace Texas Tornado At Damai: - 2 ½ yr. old shaded red, is longer cast in body than 1st. He has a correct head, with a dark almond eye, good reach of neck and a prominent and well developed oval fore chest. His shoulder is o.k, but I would prefer more length of rib and less length in loin. His hind quarters are well developed, he has good bone and feet. and moved around the ring with a free and easy stride showing reach and drive and was true and parallel moving out and back. 3 Chapman, Africandawns Justin N Time For Melminds.
OD 1 Cross, CH Loggeta Trouble In Texas: - This beautiful shaded red male was on top form today. He is built on clean classic lines and is full of quality and breed type from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. He has a strong, masculine head, a dark almond eye, and a kind expression. His fore quarters are well constructed and angulated, with a prominent and well filled oval fore chest, a good lay back of shoulder, ribs are well sprung and are carried back into a short and strong loin. His hind quarters balance the front, are broad and well developed with a good bend of stifle and “hammy” thighs that have width and depth. He stands on good bone and neat feet and he used all these qualities to move around the ring with a free and easy stride showing reach and drive, elbows tucked in maintaining his top-line and was true and parallel when moving out and back. He was presented in lovely condition as is usual from this kennel, in full coat that had correct volume and texture and it was a joy to “go over him” on the judging table with nothing being exaggerated or overdone. He is a lovely example of this charming variety, so beautifully balanced and constructed throughout and I had no hesitation to award him the D.C.C. Congratulations! 2 Roberts, CH Swansford Gregorydor: - Quality 18mth male who looked an absolute picture. He is built on classic lines has an eye catching shaded red coat, and is full of breed type throughout. He has a lovely masculine and houndy head of correct shape and proportions, a dark almond eye and kind expression. His front and hind quarters are well constructed and angulated, and same comments apply here regarding construction and movement as 1st. He was presented in full coat that was in lovely gleaming condition and was correct in volume and texture. He is a beautiful example of this variety, so well balanced from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail that my hands just flowed over him. He is a very worthy Champion, and it is easy to see why he has won many top awards so far in his showing career. On the day I had to award a 1st and 2nd and as they stood before me, I felt that this younger hound still had some maturing and finishing to do. I have no doubt though, that he will continue to win many more top awards in the future. Happy to award him today the R.D.C.C 3 Wedges, Peverleigh Autumnal Louis At Dolan

She has a good reach of neck, a prominent nicely filled oval fore chest, shoulder is o.k. and she has a good length and spring of rib and a short loin. Her hind quarters are well developed at this age, and she stands on good bone and neat feet. She appeared to find moving around the ring slightly more of a challenge, was a little apprehensive on times, however, she kept moving steadily forward did not put the brakes on and completed the task. She was presented in good condition, still with some of her puppy coat. She is a promising, raw baby who is maturing nicely, but needs time and patience to build up her confidence in the show ring.

LB (4) 1 McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Spellbound: - First words in my notes, says Wow!!, Quality bitch from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail, built on classic lines and full of breed type, she is feminine all through but still has a houndy head and a dark eye and typical, slightly arrogant dachshund expression.
