SMOOTH HAIRED
PGD. (1). 1. Marsh’s, Marshwick Mandolin. Very sound black and tan. Nicely constructed and well balanced. Good head, nice dark eye. Excellent front. Good length of ribbing and well angulated. Moved well keeping topline. BD and BOB.
LD. (2). 1. Spooner’s, Pengosa Barnaby Rudge. Black and tan with nice head and dark eye. Moved well keeping level topline but I would like more bone and substance.
OD. (3). 1. McCarthy’s, Seatris Laced with Success. Black and tan with a good head bit would prefer a darker eye. Well constructed with good topline. Nice length of ribbing. Has excellent profile but moves and stands close behind. RBD.
JB. (1). 1. Punter’s, Roleta Returned to sender Welcumen. 6 months old baby thoroughly enjoying her day out. Chocolate with very good pigmentation. Lovely head and expression. Good front and shoulders and tight elbows. Good length of ribbing. Well angulated. Moved out very well keeping her topline. Promising.
PGB. (2). 1. Marsh’s, Marshwick Merrimaid. Stocky red carrying a little too much weight. Good head and eye. Good front. Nice tight elbows. Level topline and good length of ribbing, well angulated. Moved ok. RBB. 2. Punter’s, Welcumen Kiss ‘n’ Tell. Black and tan of different type to winner. Much better in movement but I felt she was trather overloaded in front which spoilt the overall picture. Very close decision.
LB. (1). 1. Jesse’s, Rill Favourite. Liked this red very much. Nothing exaggerated about her. Very workmanlike. Her head is not her fortune and she is rather heavy across the shoulders, but has a very good front. Good ribbing. Level topline. Well angulated with a lovely rouned rump. BB.
OB. (2). 1. Adams’s, Rosanport Crackline Rosie. Smart black and tan with a good head and nice dark eye. Very good in front with good feet. Nice deep body. Good ribbing. Moved round very well but lost her topline a bit on the day.
