SMOOTH HAIRED:
PD. (4). 1. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Galadrim. Sound black and tan youngster with good overall balance. Well angulated shoulders and prominent keel. Well sprung ribcage and ribbing carried well back. Free mover, holding topline on the move. BP. 2. Eales and Tite’s, Lauralee the X Factor. Slightly longer cast that winner. Lovely head and expression with long muscular neck. Looser in topline than winner and moving rather close behind. 3. Turner’s, Rafthouse Son of a Gun
. JD. (1). 1. Hunt’s, Carpaccio Black Sabbath. Defiant head carriage and intelligent expression, correct bite. Long well muscled neck with slight arch. Level topline. Well ribbed back. Moving rather close behind.
PGD. (1). 1. With-held. 2. Dent and Blair’s, Sontag Toulouse Le Plot. To anyone with knowledge of the breed watching this class, it was obvious why I witheld the first prize card. This exhibit lacked the courageous temperament required by the breed standard and was very nervous. He has a good outline standing with prominent keel and level topline. Was moving rather close behind.
LD. (7). 1. Girven’s, Marictur Mansfield. Black and tan. Soundly made. Lovely outline. Good head, neck, prominent keel. Correct shoulder angulation. Level topline. Well ribbed back. Moved with drive. CC. 2. Turner’s, Rosanport Out of the Hat. B/t. Prominent keel Robust ribcage, well ribbed back. Not so resolute on the move as winner. 3. Eales and Tite’s, Layralee Role of Honour via Rijobeau.
OD. (3). 1. McNaughton’s, Ch/Aust Ch. Nicholyev the Hobbit (Imp). Red. Full of arrogance. Good head and long neck. Level topline. Strode out on the move. Would prefer if ribbed back further and carrying a little more weight. RCC. 2. Hunt’s, Ch/Ir Ch. D’arisca Class Distinction at Carpaccio JW. Another red. Shorter cast than winner. Prominent keel, well sprung deep ribcage and sound mover but lacked enthusiasm. 3. Cooper’s, Sontag Simon Le Bone.
PB. (4). 1. Turner’s, Marictur Uptown Madam. B/t. Good outline standing. Dark eye, balanced head. Prominent keel. Well ribbed back. Level topline. Moved with confidence. 2. Melbourne’s, Lauralee Take That to Melriding. Dark eye, well shaped head and good length of neck. Well ribbed back. Not as confident on the move as winner. 3. Bethel’s, Hampdach Alinga.
PGB. (4). 1. Dalgety’s, Thudergay Beguiled Again. Chocolate. Well balanced lady. Well angulated shoulders and front assembly. Prominent keel. Well ribbed back. Level topline. Good hind angulation. Moved with drive. 2. Hinwood and Little’s, Longmel Double Truffle. B/t. Dark eye. Good neck, shoulders and level topline. Prominent keel. Preferred more positive movement of winner. 3. Gatherall-Graham’s, Phaeland Special Devotion.
LB. (3). 1. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Aarwen. Feminine red lady. Elegant outline. Smart enthusiastic mover. Prominent keel. Good ribbing. Arrogant outlook. RCC. 2. Rawson and Walkley’s, Churchoak Hot Gossip about Rosenket. Chocolate. More compact than winner. Very sound throughout but lacks front extension of winner. 3. Dalgety’s, Thudergay Surely Charmed.
OB. (5). 1. Dalgety’s, Ch. Thundergay Lady Bee Good. Quality b/t. Lovely outline standing. Perfect balance. Classic head, dark eye, arrogant head carriage and intelligent expression. Prominent keel, well angulated front and hindquarters. Level topline and well ribbed back. Moved confidently with front reach and strong rear drive. CC and BOB. 2. McNaughton’s, Ch/Aust Ch. Nicholyev Galadriel (Imp). B/t. Not quite the neck and front of winner. Prominent keel. Level topline. Strong sound mover. 3. Turner’s, Ch. Marictur Miss Midnight.
