Overall I thought the quality was good, but temperaments left a lot to be desired, it was difficult to assess some on the table as they were reluctant to be handled, backing off and looking for a chance to get away, and a coupled warned me. PD (4,2) 1 Eales and Tite’s Lauralee the X Factor. Very good outline, front and shoulder correct. Good quarters, moved well. Just needs to fill out in body. 2 Joy’s Rosenket Hot Property with Morailsa. Would prefer a better head, but not a bad outline. Shoulder a little upright. JD (2) 1 Eales and Tite’s Lauralee Role of Honour via Rojobeau. Nice head, pleasing outline. Needs to fill out in front and moves a bit close behind. 2 Armstrong’s Lauralee Hot Chocolate. Good head, strong bone and nice feet. On the large side, would like a stronger topline. PGD (2,1) 1 Dent’s Lauralee Dylan Thomas von Dachstein. Red with a good head, shoulder placement good. Nice depth to chest, topline kept at all times. Fair mover. LD (3) 1 Cooper’s Sontag Simon Le Bone. B/T, an exciting young dog, very masculine with a super head, good bone and tight feet. Front assembly and shoulder excellent. Clean outline, sound quarters. Moved with drive. A pleasure to handle, didn’t put a foot wrong. CC and Best of Breed. 2 Stanton’s Hampdach Hot Topic. Red, nice in outline with a good head and nice expression. Could do with more forechest, moved well. 3 Sontag Sea Breeze. OD (5) 1 Armstrong’s Lauralee Lloyd George. B/T, correct in shoulder and good forechest, nice outline. Good hindquarters. In sparkling condition. So well balanced and needs to relax a little. Res CC. 2 McNaughton’s Ch Au Ch Nicholyev the Hobbit (Imp). Red with a good head, nicely placed shoulders and a strong body with a lovely outline. Not moving well behind on the day, not as well as I know he can. 3 Girven’s Marictur Mansfield. PB (2) 1 Bethel’s Hampdach Alinga. Clear red with a nice head, neck and well placed shoulders. Forechest just right, outline held at all times. Sound mover - just needs time to fill out. 2 Gatheral and Graham’s Phaeland Special Dive. Very overweight and hard to assess. JB (3) 1 Armstrong’s Lauralee Single Girl. I liked the head, good shoulders and excellent outline. Well ribbed with a short loin. Sound mover, will surely make it to the top. 2 Earles and Tite’s Rijobeau Ready to Rumble. B/T, a little fine in bone but outline correct. Well ribbed, sound on the move. Needs a bit more confidence. 3 Dunseith’s Dubreys Pride of our Alley. PGB (4,1) 1 Gatheral and Graham’s Phaeland Special Devotion. Red of excellent construction, pleasing head. Good forechest, nice neck and well carried outline kept at all times. Just needs to put a bit more enthusiasm into the job. 2 Dalgety’s Thundergay Beguiled Again. Nice size with a good body, well ribbed with a short loin. OK for neck well carried, outline excellent movement fair. Needs a manicure. 3 Churchoak’s Hot Gossip about Rosenket. LB (6) 1 Armstrong’s Lauralee Under Milk Wood. B/T, super outline with a lovely head and reach of neck. Excels in front assembly, topline strong and good parallel movement. Res CC. 2 McNaughton’s Cedavoc Aarwen. Quality red of nice size, not overdone anywhere. Plenty of substance, moved well. Head didn’t appeal. 3 Thundergay Surely Charmed. OB (7,4) 1 Turner’s Ch Marictur Miss Midnight. I liked this bitch for her lovely head, well laid shoulders and good forechest. Correct outline, good sweep of underline and strong quarters giving good movement. CC. 2 Bethel’s Hampdach Spell Caster. Good type, nice size and good for bone. Plenty of substance, could tighten in topline a bit. 3 Ch Aus Ch Nicholyev Galadriel (Imp).
