SMOOTH HAIRED
Thank you to the committee for inviting me. Temperaments on the whole were good with just a couple of exceptions. Movement generally could be better. I was disappointed to find several exhibits with dirty teeth, there is no excuse for this. Size was varied, I tried to keep my placings as close to what I consider correct size.
PD. (7). 1. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Galadrim. B/t 6 months old. Correct head and eye. Lovely neck into correctly placed shoulder. Excellent top and underline. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved out very well for a youngster. Pushed the CC hard, just needs to mature. RCC. 2. Turner’s, Rafthouse Son of a Gun. 9 months old b/t. Sorry he had to meet the winner, they are very similar, Lovely type. Just preferred the movement of winner.
JD. (3). 1. Hunt’s, Carpaccio Sabbath. B/t. Lovely head and eye. Well constructed front, correct top and underline. Well ribbed. Super hindquarters used on the move. 2. Earles and Tite’s, Lauralee Roll of Honour to Rijobeau. Red. My notes say he was the winner but his movement let him down, excells in front construction. Lovely shape.
LD. (6). 1. Turner’s, Rosanport Out of the Heat. B/t. Lovely shape, good head and eye. Well laid shoulders. Well ribbed and short loin. Nice hindquarters. Moved ok. 2. Cooper’s, Sontag Simon Le Bone JW. B.t,. My notes say this was the winner. Construction correct. Lovely mover but needs a stronger temperament.
OD. (3). 1. Hunt’s, Ch. D’Arisca Class Distinction at Carpaccio. C/t. Plain dog but everything fits so well and he comes into his own when he moves, absolutely sound and free mover covering ground. Won this class with ease and the CC. 2. McNaughton’s, Ch/Aus Nocholyev the Hobbit (Imp). Red. Lovely dog, on first impressions class winner but although his construction is lovely he is just a shade too low for me and his hind action needs to improve.
PB. (4). 1. Bethel’s, Hampdach Alinga. Red 7 months old. Correct size. In excellent condition. Everything about her fits. Just loved her. She will make up easily. BP. 2. Melbourne’s, Lauralee Take That to Melriding. B/t 7 months old. Another super baby. Correct construction. Pushed winner. Just preferred winner on the move.
JB. (4). 1. Mitchell and McGarths’, Dubrey’s Dora the Explorer. Red. Good head and eye. Nice neck into well laid shoulder. Best of fronts. Good top and underline. Well ribbed, short strong loin. Moved with purpose. 2. Earle and Tie’s, Rijobeau Ready to Rumble. B/t. Nice size. Lovely construction but I would prefer a stronger temperament.
PGB. (4). 1. Rawson’s, Chuckoak Chit Chat with Rosenket. B/t. Good head and eye. Well constructed front and well laid shoulders. Excellent topline. Well angulated hindquarters. Sadly at the beginning of her season and consequently moved wide behind. 2. Britt and Williams’, Bonavoir Queen Bee. B/t. Another nicely built bitch that moved out well but I preferred front construction on winner.
LB. (7). 1. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Aarwen. Red. Find of the day. Loved everything about her. Everything fits and she makes good use of her well constructed front and rear to drive round the ring. Couldn’t look past her. CC and BOB. 2. Furber’s, Dorysa Dyddanwy. B/t. Wished I had 2 red cards. Another bitch who is beautifully constructed. Just preferred winner on her positive movement but this girl pushed close for top honours. RCC.
OB. (4). 1. Adam’s, Rosanport Cracklin Rosie. Correct head and eye. Well laid shoulders. Well filled front, good top and underline. Nice hindquarters. Unlucky to meet 2 cracking bitches in the Limit class.
