My thanks to the exhibitors for a nice entry, the weather was kind if a bit
windy. I found a number of dogs with short upper arms and too deep in front even
in the younger classes, this gives a restricted front movement with no extension
and in some cases a rolling action from the shoulder ! some looked very nice
stacked but lost their outline on the move and this was reflected in my placings,
rib length was better but some exhibits were light in hindquarters, and not
enough extension behind when moving away. I also found a number of level bites,
which needs watching! Bitch Classes were well filled with depth of quality down
the line.
pd (2,1) 1 Cooper’s Sontag Marcus Absent. Sturdy b/t, well developed
front, good ribbing, topline OK Hind movement a bit erratic today and topline
still soft yet, needs to tighten up.
JD (2) 1 Kerry's Sontag sir Cumferance at Kireton. B/t just out of puppy
better shoulders and front than previous class, movement again rather erratic,
should improve with time, looked nice standing. 2 Walkley’s Churchoak Red Adair
Clear red very masculine, unsettled on the table rather short in upper arm needs
to tighten up.
SpBD (1) 1 Macdonald’s Carpaccio Blackout at Bensarka. Masculine b/t
nice front and shoulders good underline, slightly higher on the leg, which gave
him the edge when moving on the uneven ground, would have liked more strength in
hind quarters
PGD (4) 1 C Black Out 2 Harris' Smooth Operator. nice well balanced
choc/tan clean shoulders nice ribbing and tidy underline good hindquarters moved
well. 3 Walkley’s Churchoak Cardinal Sin
LD (5,1) 1 Tite’s Lauralee x factor, nice size b/t good front, ribbing
and underline, well angulated hind quarters, slightly long in hock, moved OK
over the rough ground. 2 Dent’s Lauralee Dillon Thomas Von Dachstein Similar
quality to winner, slightly taller, good front, top and Underline, moved OK 3
Burke’s Marshwick Monty Casino from Bonavoir
OD (7) 1 Armstrong's CH Lauralee Lloyd George smart b/t I have judged
before as a puppy and gave him a res CC. well built dog with good ring presence
good shoulders and well developed front nice length of ribbing, moved round the
ring with ease to win the CC. 2 Allen and Henningson's American Ch Jagies I
love the night life, (Imp) Completely different type full of quality super
ribbing with clean lines, not overdone for size, still needs to settle with his
handler a very useful dog Res CC 3 Cedavoch Galadrim
SpVet (1) 1 Jeffrey's Rosenket what a wizard at Andax (sh cm) 9 years b/t
solid dog, looking well for his age, good shoulders, topline and hindquarters,
moved out well Best veteran.
PB (4,1) 1 Hunt’s Carpaccio Precious Pearl. Neat little b/t bitch with
clean lines smaller type only 9 and a half months. moved well and was presented
in lovely condition. Best Puppy. 2 Graham’s Roleta red Letter day for Gameron,
baby of the class, pushed winner hard, well proportioned, handler needs to get
to grips with her and could have won this class with better handling! 3

JB (11.2) What a lovely class of youngsters, with quality down the line!
1 Ellis' Tealby Taken as Read, what a lovely little bitch topping a very nice
class oozing quality, the 3 'Ls' apply here, I was not disappointed on handling
her, so well put together, went round the ring as you would expect with her
construction ! gently handled to get the best from her Res CC. should have a
bright future. 2 Norton’s Matzell Maid of Honour another quality red of a nice
size, same remarks apply here just not the overall length of the winner. 3

Sp BB (3,1) 1 Tealby taken as Red. 2 Pickardax Maggie May. Came up from
the previous class, well handled b/t very feminine and nicely balanced, nice
clean type and a nice size.
PGB (7,1) 1 Gatheral's Phaeland Special Delivery Quality red long low and
level,well filled front, feminine head good angulated shoulders and ribbing
carried well back nice bone and strong hind quarters. 2 Turner’s Marictur
Uptown madam, quality b/t lighter boned, clean front and tight shoulders, not
the angulation behind of the winner. 3 Ellis' Jotoso Lulu Guinness at Tealby
LB (5,2) 1 Gatheral's Phaeland Special Devotion. Another nice red from this
exhibitor again well angulated front and rear with nice clean lines, clear
winner of this class. 2 Furber’s Dorysa Rioja. Judged this one before as a very
immature puppy has settled down as she has matured nice type clean front a
little light on her hind quarters, moved well over the rough ground. 3

OB (7,1) 1 Norton’s Ch Matzell Malua another I judged as a puppy and gave
her Best puppy, she has matured into a nice girl fulfilling her early promise
very feminine, good clean front and shoulders, nicely angulated behind, moved
well CC and BOB 2 Armstrong's Lauralee Single girl, heavier type b/t, good in
front and shoulders well ribbed and nice mover. 3 McNaughton’s Ch Cedavoch
