SMOOTH HAIRED
I would like to thank the SDC committee for supporting me and having me at their show, I enjoyed my appointment and the hospitality. Many thanks to the exhibitors for their entries had some lovely quality dogs to go over, temperaments were sound but my only concern were the number of incorrect bites which affected my placings. MPD (4) 1 Armstrong’s Lauralee Golden Boots. 8mths old red of nice quality. Good strong head & dark almond shaped eyes. Need to carry less weight as looked quite loaded over his shoulders, his shoulders need to tighten & his front still to develop. Well sprung ribbing carried back, good rounded hind quarters. Needs to settle on the move. 2 Walkley’s Churchoak Red Adair. Another Red, quite elegant & had better shoulders than winner but needs to settle. Has time on his side, still a nice dog to go over. 3 Cooper & Kerry’s Sontag Sir Cumfrance of Kireton. PD (1) 1 Burke’s & Manston’s Bonavoir the Waxies Dargle. 10mths old red looked a bit rangy compared to previous class. Nice head and dark eyes, good reach of neck. Still needs his front to develop, good shoulders. I would like a little more to length of ribbing as roaches on movement, showed well. JD (6) 1 Eales & Tite’s Lauralee the X Factor. b/t dog, pleasure to go over, much more mature than 2nd. He’s now starting to come together really nicely. Has masculine head & almond shaped eyes with good reach of neck. Correct front construction, good length of ribbing carried back, keeping level topline on the move, good rear angulation, closely knit feet and sound movement. Res CC. 2 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Galadrim. Another nice b/t to go over lost out on maturity & front movement has plenty of time on his side. Good strong masculine head with dark almond shaped eyes. Good reach of neck, slightly short in upper arm; he still needs to tighten in on his shoulders. Well sprung ribbing carried back, kept level topline, good hind angulations & sound movement. 3 Wilberg & Blackburn-Bennett’s – Coupduvent Del Conteverde at Kanix (imp Ita). PGD (5,1) 1 Harris’s Smooth Operator. Choc & Tan well constructed he needs less weight. Nice head with dark eyes & dark pigment. Good reach of neck into correct laid shoulders, full oval front. Well sprung ribbing carried back, kept level topline on the move, & nicely rounded hind quarters. Good tight feet. Owner just needs more confidence. 2 Marsh’s Marshwick Moonlight Shadow. B/t nice dog to go over just preferred front & movement on winner. Masculine head with dark eyes, I would like more reach of neck, a well developed front, I would like better laid shoulders, ribbing carried back moved & Showed well. 3 Jeffery’s Rosenket Heir Apparent at Andax. LD (6) 1 Hunt’s Carpaccio Black Sabbath. B/t dog in good hard condition, well boned, taller on the leg & won his class on his assertive movement. Good head & dark eyes, lovely reach of neck. I would like better laid shoulders, full front with good length of ribbing. Keeping clean outlines I would like more let down onto his hind quarters, good tight feet & good hind movement. 2 Norton’s Matzell Moritz. B/t quite a nice dog to go over, strong masculine head, dark almond shaped eyes, & lovely reach of neck. Had correct laid shoulders, with well sprung ribbing carried well back. Kept level topline on the move & clean underline. Well angulated hind quarters. He just lacked the animation today. 3 Eale’s & Tite’s Lauralee Role of Honour via Rijobeau. OD (6) 1 Armstrong’s Ch Lauralee Lloyd George. Nice elegant B/t with lovely clean outline. Strong masculine head, dark eyes & lovely reach of neck with proud carriage flowing into correctly laid shoulders. Well developed front & deep keel with well sprung ribbing carried back, good underline, level topline. Well angulated hindquarters & tight feet, moved expressively. CC & BOB. 2 Cooper’s Ch Sontag Simon le Bone. Nice quality b/t to go over. Lovely head, dark eyes & reach of neck, good shoulders & front, good length of ribbing level topline & good underline, tight feet. Just preferred the hind movement on winner. 3 Melbourne’s Sunhaze St John of Melriding. MPB (9,2) 1 Armstrong’s Lauralee Turn Back Time. Very nice clean elegant red more mature in this class, nice feminine head, dark almond shaped eyes, lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders, prominent front with well sprung ribbing, level topline & clean underlines. I would like better let down onto her hind quarters, moved with confidence. Nice tight feet, BP. 2 Cooper’s Sontag Celia Fate. B/t bitch, of nice quality to go over. Nice feminine head dark eyes, lovely reach of neck, good shoulders still needs to tighten in, well sprung ribbing carried back. Level topline & good hind angulation, with time should have good future. 3 Walkley’s Churchoak’s Modesty Blazes. PB (4) 1 Norton’s Matzell Maid of Honour. Shaded red, feminine head, dark eyes, I would like more reach of neck. Front needs to develop & to tighten in on her shoulders. Good length of ribbing, level topline, good hind movement. Tight feet. 2 Burke’s & Manston’s Bonavoir Clonmore. Nice head & dark eyes, good reach of neck front still to develop. I would like more length of ribbing as roaches on the move, needs more to her hind quarters. Showed well. 3 Jones’s Matzell Moons Maiden Voyage with Indizak. JB (3,1) 1 Melbourne’s Lauralee Take That to Melriding. B/t, quite an elegant bitch. Too much weight was pulling topline down, nice feminine head, good reach of neck, full front & reasonable shoulder lay. Good length of ribbing, lost topline on move, good quarters. 2 Vosper’s Oggland Chough to Bits. Similar remarks to winner nice to go over, good head and eyes, lovely reach of neck and good oval front, ribbing carried back. Moved with attitude! PGB (6,3) 1 Jones’ Phealand Secret Diva Adnerb. Red needs less weight nice head with reasonable reach of neck, slightly wide in front good ribbing & kept topline on the move. 2 Eale’s & Tite’s Rijobeau Ready to Rumble. B/t bitch of nice quality. Didn’t perform today due to phantom. Quite nice to go over with nice feminine head, good reach of neck & good shoulder lay, ideal length of ribbing just lost topline on the move. 3 Davis’s Adnerb be friended. LB (2) 1 Mitchell’s Durbrys Dora the Explora. Good clean red nice head & dark eyes, lovely reach of neck, good prominent front, with ribbing carried back, moved with clean outlines. Good angulated hind quarters. 2 Britt’s Bonavoir Queen Bee. Black & Tan quite nice to go over, similar remarks to winner, just lost it on movement today. Nice head and dark eyes, good reach of neck, full oval front, and good depth of keel. Correct shoulders and ribbing carried well back, kept topline on the move just didn’t extend as well as 1st if she did would have changed places. OB (6) 1 Norton’s Ch Matzell Melua. Quality b/t has really come together & in beautiful condition. Beautiful head & dark almond shaped eyes, lovely reach of neck flowing into correct laid shoulders. Prominent forechest & keel with well sprung ribbing. I would like just a little more to the hind quarters but nicely compact with level topline & clean underline on the move. Still worthy of the CC & Res BOB. 2 Armstrong’s Lauralee Single Girl. B/t could do with a little less weight. Lovely Head & dark eyes, lengthy reach of neck. Well developed front with deep keel & nice tight feet, lost to winner as excess weight made her look overloaded over her shoulders but still worthy of Res CC. 3 Furber’s Dorysa dyddanwy.
