It was my first time awarding CCs in Smooths and a pleasure. The breed is very strong at present, in both my line-ups there were many dogs well deserving of top awards. The tent did not provide the best conditions but despite this, every single dog stood its ground and not a bad temperament in sight. Upon reviewing my results A0it was nice to see that my Dog CC, Bitch CC, BPD and BPB were all by the same dog, Ch & Am Ch Jagies I Love The Night Life (Imp), an import who has done well for the breed in my opinion adding a touch of class and outgoing temperaments to the top winners.

MPD (3,1) 1 Bethel & Payton’s Hampdach Gold Quest. Lovely 9 month old red. Very playful and full of himself. Good head and neck, well laid shoulders, good length of upper arm, good topline at all times, nice quarters which he used well on the move. BP. 2 James’ Tiesal Colonel Mustard. Nice head and good depth in front. Topline was lost on the move and not the quarters of 1.

PD(2)1 Gatheral-Graham’s Rijobeau Honour Roll. Larger red, good head an eye, good prominent forechest, lovely quarters. Very fidgety on the move. Needs to lose weight to firm topline. 2 James’ Tiesal Colonel Mustard

JD(4,1)1 Ellis’ Tealby Another Rumour In Red. Really liked this elegant boy. Good head, neck and shoulders, prominent forechest, lovely quarters which he used beautifully on the move. Just needs road work A0tighten his topline. 2 Hunt’s Am Ch Bessdachs Beam Me Up At Carpaccio (Imp). A0Black and tan boy of good size. Loved his head. Good quarters which he used well on the move keeping a lovely outline. Preferred the shoulders of 1. 3 Joy’s Morailsa Druids Secret.

YD (1) 1 Hunt’s Lauralee Living Daylights At Carpaccio. Lovely black and tan boy. Good head. Lovely, neat, correct front. Well angulated quarters. Very happy boy but unfortunately just wouldn’t settle on the move which let him down. Sure to have a bright future.

LD (4 ,1) 1 Kerry’s Sontag Sir Cumference At Kireton. Nice neat black and tan. Lovely outline, neat shoulders, good quarters. Moved well keeping his topline at all times. 2 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Honour Bound. Nice head and neck, good quarters. Moved well. Lost his topline on the move. 3 Linacre’s Cavalleria Rusticana.

OD (5) Lovely strong class. 1 Bethel’s Hampdach Pyrrus. Beautiful red male. Good head and neck flowing into correctly laid shoulders. Good length of upper arm which he could not be matched for in this class. Good firm topline and length of ribbing. Lovely A0quarters which he used to power around the ring. True both fore and aft. DCC. 2 Rawson’s Ch Rosenket Kaptain Kirk. Lovely solid black and tan boy. Good head and length of neck, good shoulders, firm topline, good long ribbing, nice quarters, moved well. Lovely outline at all times. RCC. 3 Dalgety’s Thundergay Archduke.

MPB (2) 1 Bethel’s Hampdach Black Opal. Gorgeous black and tan bitch. Good head and neck. Lovely lay of shoulder with good upper arm. Good topline and movement. Well angulated hind quarters which she used beautifully. Sure to be a future star BPB. Was a bit of a hand full in the challenge for best puppy, wasn’t going to let her handler get the best of her on the stack or on the move unfortunately!! 2 Trafford’s Dabrenhof Sally Forth. Nice neat bitch. Good head and outline. Good quarters. Not the shoulders of 1.

PB(1)1 Williams’ Cwmdarhian Mrs Betsey. Nice bitch of good size. Good head and neck, lovely quarters. Would prefer better lay of shoulder and more upper arm. Moved well.

JB(6)A0Promising class for the future. 1 Norton’s Matzell Mildred. Lovely elegant red. Good head and neck, the best of shoulders, good firm topline. Well angulated rear which she used well. 2 Rawson’s Rosenket Melody Maker. Nice neat black and tan bitch. Nice head and eye. Good shoulders and quarters. Moved well. 3 Gatheral-Graham’s Rijobeau League of Honour.

YB (2) 1 McNaughton’s Cedavoch I Love To Boogie. Beautiful elegant red bitch. Good head and reach of neck flowing into correctly laid shoulder. Good length of upper arm. Good firm topline at all times. Lovely quarters. Used everything correctly and to her advantage on the move producing correct drive. Loved her pizzazz. CC & BOB 2 Hunt’s Lauralee Miss Chokky Wokey At Carpaccio. Lovely chocolate bitch, similar type to 1. Good head and neck, good shoulder placement. Well angulated rear which she also used to power around the ring. RCC

PGB (3,1) 1 Holburn’s A0Phaeland Strathisla Dawn. Good head and neck. Good lay of shoulder. Nice quarters. Moved well. Would prefer more upper arm. 2 Dalgety’s Thundergay My Fair Lady. Good head prominent forechest and depth, lovely quarters. Lost her topline on the move.

LB(6,1)1 Rawson’s Churchoak Some Like It Hot At Rosenket. Nice neat bitch of heavier type. Nice head, good shoulders, nice quarters. Moved well. 2 Dalgety’s Thundergay Magdalena. Nice bitch. Nice head, good firm topline, good length of upper arm. Nice quarters. 3 McNaughton’s A0Cedavoch Sincerity.
