SMOOTH HAIRED
Quality entry with all exhibits in good condition. In most classes my placings were very close with the final decisions made on good sound movement.
PD (6) 1 Gatheral-Graham’s Rijobeau Honour Roll, 81/2 months red, pleasing head & eye, nice overall proportions, moved nicely. Still very raw but shows promise; 2 Ellis’ Tealby Another Rumour In Red, larger red but nice sound temperament, moved out well; 3 Higgin’s Leveliss Long Lankin. JD (1) 1 Hunt’s Lauralee Living Daylights at Carpaccio, alone but what a cracker, b/t in gleaming condition, lovely head carried proudly, well constructed all through, sound easy mover keeping lovely outline, presented so well, liked him a lot. BD (1) A. PGD (2) 1 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Born To Boogie, red, lovely for type, good front, well proportioned, strong quarters, moved with drive keeping good topline; 2 Higgins’ Matzell Midnight Harbour for Leveliss, quality s/r, good bone & substance, pleasing head, dark eye. Preferred topline & movement of 1. LD (8) Good class. 1 Kerry’s Sontag Sir Cumference at Kireton, liked him as a youngster & he did not disappoint me, lovely head, correct mouth, well defined neck, correct shoulder, good body & quarters, balanced, sound mover keeping a lovely outline, scored well in handling & presentation. CC, his third; 2 Hedges’ Roletta Red Boots To Shine for Silandage, handsome & stylish s/r, nice reach of neck, good top & underline. A picture stacked but lost out on front movement to 1; 3 Davies’ Undeg Humming Top. OD (8) Lovely class, impressed with first three. 1 Hunt’s Am Ch Bessdachs Beam Me Up at Carpaccio, quality male head of the American type, good body, top & underline, nice feet & muscled quarters, moved out with style. RCC; 2 Armstrong’s Ch Lauralee Lloyd George, nice head, well off for bone, nice body & quarters, stylish mover keeping lovely outline; 3 Rawson’s Ch Rosenket Kaptain Kirk. V (1) 1 Jeffrey’s Rosenket What A Wizard at Andax, at 11 years a credit to his owner, in lovely condition, well constructed & still so sound. BV.
PB (9) Very close decisions on first three. 1 Hunt’s Lauralee Miss Chokky Wokey at Carpaccio, stunning choc, lovely size, good overall construction, nice head & reach of neck, good forechest, ribbing & quarters, won me over with her attitude & movement. BP; 2 Norton’s Matzell Mildred, another who has everything in the right place & should go places. Just lost to 1 in rear movement which just needs to firm; 3 Rawson’s Rosenket Melody Maker. JB (2) 1 Armstrong’s Lauralee Peeping Fawn, really impressed me with her lovely construction & quality feminine head, clean neck & good shoulders, lovely body & quarters, so well balanced, moved soundly keeping a lovely outline. In the challenge she stood away, I shall watch her progress with interest. CC & BOB; 2 Davies’ Hampdach Not In The Rough for Atahira, quality bitch of similar construction but not as sure on the move as 1. BB (1) 1 Adams’ Rosenket Jewell In The Crown at Dabrenhof, alone but nicely constructed quality bitch, good to go over. Handler needs to present her with more confidence to get the best out of her. PGB (2) 1 Higgins’ Matzell Misty Morning over Leveliss, quality bitch, good construction, moved out keeping a nice outline, sound & nicely presented; 2 R Jewel In The Crown at D. LB (6,3a) 1 Rawson’s Churchoak Some Like It Hot at Rosenket, well constructed choc/t, pleasing head & eye, sound mover; 2 McNaughton’s Cedavoch I Have to Boogie, very elegant red, lovely to go over, stylish mover, close up on 1; 3 Walkley’s Churchoak Modesty Blazes. OB (3) 1 Hunt’s Ch Carpaccio Precious Pearl, eyecatching quality b/t, feminine head carried on reachy neck, lovely body, well angulated quarters, moved out well keeping lovely outline, put up a strong fight in the challenge. RCC; 2 Rawson’s Ch Rosenket Krystal Singer, quality b/t, so close up to 1 & same remarks apply, worthy ch; 3 Norton’s Ch Matzell Melva.
