SMOOTH HAIRED
I was looking for well balanced dogs with no
exaggeration, but I thought that some of the dogs were overloaded in front
assembly. Unfortunately, there was a temperament problem resulting in a
disqualification.
pd (2,1) 1Wood Abbagirls For Me and My Gal Welcumen. Dark red 9
month old, dog. Good head, long neck and lovely front. Well ribbed, nicely
angulated fore and aft he moved well keeping a level topline. I would have
preferred tighter elbows, and he needs to settle on the table.
JD (1)1 Hunt Lauralee Living Daylights at Carpaccio. Beautiful Black
and tan, lovely head with strong under jaw. Good length of neck, lovely front,
the tightest of elbows and excellent movement. There was nothing exaggerated
about him, and he presented a lovely picture both stacked and on the move. BD
and BOB, I was delighted to see him shortlisted in the group
ld (3,2)1 Goad Rosanport Three Card Trick. Good head, well sprung, long
ribbing, but lacking in fore-chest and slightly short in upper arm.
OD (2)1 Hunt and Lara Am Ch Bessdachs Beam Me Up SS (imp).
Another nice dog from this kennel. His head is of the American type, and I
preferred the stronger under jaw of his kennel mate, but a sound well
constructed, well angulated, dog who thoroughly deserved to be RBD 2 Tite and
Eales Ch Lauralee Role of Honour via Rijobeau. Nicely constructed red, good
head, lovely front assembly, nicely sprung long ribbing, but moved a little
close behind.
Vet (1) 1 Goad Meganhol Abracadabra. Eight year old black/tan bitch,
who is a credit to her owner. Good shoulders, long well sprung ribbing, well
muscled quarters. Moved well keeping a level topline.
PB (4) Four lovely bitches in this class, some more mature than others,
I’m sure they will change places in the future. 1Hunt Lauralee Miss Chokky Wokey
at Carpaccio. Chocolate bitch who was not in her best jacket on the day.. Good
front, nicely laid back shoulders she moved well, but needs to mature to
complete the picture. BP 2 Williams Cwmdarhian Miss Betsey. Nice B/T bitch in a
small package. Nothing flashy about this girl, but a very sound honest dog, my
only criticism was a slightly high tail set. 3 Tite and Eales Rijobeau Matron of
Honour
JB(1)1 Dseago Roleta Prestige Lotus. Chocolate bitch. Good head, well
filled front with good shoulder placement and long ribbing. Moved well keeping a
level topline, but would have liked more drive from her hindquarters. RBB
LB (1) Disqualified
OB(2,1)1 Hunt Carpaccio Precious Pearl JW. Very elegant B/T bitch.
Lovely houndy head, long neck leading into well- placed shoulders. There was
nothing exaggerated in her construction and her movement was spot on, she
thoroughly deserved to be BB
