SMOOTH HAIRED
After the marathon of 111 Miniatures I was
relieved to find just 53 to judge. On the whole the quality was very good with
some close decisions being made.
PD. (3). 1. Graham’s, Gameron Simply Red. Very promising young red dog
I really liked him. Love his head and expression. Moved well as expected with
his sound construction. 2. Furber’s, Gameron Smart Choce at Dorysa. Close
decision with these two and so it would be as apparently they are brothers and
is shows. A quality pair, winner behaved better so that won the class.
JD. (2). 1. Hunt’s, Lauralee Living Daylights at Carpaccio.
Very impressive b/tan 14 months old. Super head and eye. Great reach of neck.
Well filled crook. Deep ribbing. Moved well keeping a level topline. 2. Hedge’s,
Silandajo Any Dream Will Do. Another nice quality b/tan. Not as mature as
winner, nevertheless quite promising.
PGD. (3). 1. Davies’s, Undeg Humming Top. A very striking clear red
that moved superbly. Lovely head and expression. Correct front and ribbing. Good
quarters. Very smart dog. 2. Britt’s, Ryepiece Royal Wurka. Quite a nice dog but
lost out on movement and tail carriage could have been better. 3. Linacre’s,
Cavalleria Rusticana.
LD. (8). 1. Hedges’, Roleta Red Boots to Shine for Silandajo. Very
masculine deep red dog. Very eye catching. Good head and eye set on good reach
of neck. Correct front construction, ribbing going well back. Moved with drive.
2. Cooper and Kerry’s, Sontag Sir Cumference of Kireton. Another very nice dog
b/tan. Very similar to winner. Little to choose between them. A lovely pair. A
good class. 3. Walkley’s, Churchoak Red Adair.
OD. (7). 1. Cooper’s, Ch. Sontaa Simon Bone JW. CC. A really really
good class and I’ve been nit picking. Stunning black and tan with so much to
like. His head carriage was good. Good length of neck, forechest, ribbing and
the movement was lovely. Lovely dog. 2. McNaughton’s, Cedavoch Galadrim. RCC.
Very much like my winner. Similar remarks apply to this lovely lad. Close
decision. 3. Henningsen and Allen’s, Ch/Am Ch. Jagie’s I Love the Nightlife.
PB. (8). 1. Hunt’s, Lauralee Miss Chokey Wokey at Carpaccio. BP and
RCC. A really stunning chocolate, not too big not too heavy. Beautifully
proportioned. Very confident for one so young. Lovely head and eye set on long
neck. Good forechest, ribbing and quarters. Moved true. 2. Punter’s, Abbagirls
Here I Am Welcumen. Another lovely girl. Not quite the length of neck but good
head, front, shoulders and ribbing. Moved well with drive. 3. Cooper’s, Lauralee
Coco Pops to Sontag.
JB. (4). 1. Turner’s, Marictur Moulin Rouge. Very smart red
bitch as expected from this breeder. Has all the attributes to take her to the
top. Excellent movement as she would with her construction. 2. Trafford’s,
Marictur Miss Modiste at Dabrenhof. Close decision again. Seems they are sisters
just preferred head of winner. Very promising girl. 3. Armstrong’s, Lauralee
Peeping Fawn.
PGB. (5). 1. Jones’s, Hampdach Rich Returns with Indizak. Very elegant
girl. Excellent reach of neck. Good forechest and ribbing, bone and substance.
Moved well with drive keeping topline. 2. Graham’s, Roleta Red Letter Day for
Gameron. Another nice girl but needs to reduce her weight as it interferes with
her movement. 3. Hinwood’s, Longmel Tripple Truffle.
LB. (9). 1. Lovick-Gibbs’, Roleta Keeping Up Appearances. Very nice
clear red with a beautiful head and expression. Faultless construction. Good
tight feet. Moved well with drive which won this good class. 2. Walkley’s,
Churchoak’s Modesty Blazes. Very similar type to winner. Another correctly built
girl. Moved soundly with drive. Should do well. Very close decision. 3.
Turner’s, Marictur Uptown Madam JW.
OB. (3). 1. Norton’s, Ch. Matzell Maid of Honour. CC and BOB. Gorgeous
red girl oozing quality. Lovely head and expression set on an elegant neck.
Correct pro sternum. Excellent ribbing going well back. Good turn of stifle.
Strong quarters. Super feet. Flowed round the ring in style. Loved her. Last 6
in Group. 2. Hinwood’s, Longmel Double Truffle. Another excellent bitch with
lots of quality. Very sound as her movement shows. 3. Goad’s, Rosanport Play Me.
