Thank you for a very good entry, well up on last year. I really enjoyed judging the smooths today and was more than happy with my winners. Type was quite uniform throughout and temperaments are so much better. The only thing that struck me since the last time I judged them was the amount of wrinkle appearing on the legs & feet, something I have not really noticed before. Not the cheapest show to enter or to get to & I have to say that I was not expecting the quality of the dogs that I had, so thank you & to top of a lovely day my BOB made the final cut in the group, well done.

PD 3 (1abs) 1,Tite’s RIJOBEAU HOT ON YA HEELS, quite stunning & together for one so young,10 month B/T,loved his head, dark oval eye & melting expression, well arched neck, very good shoulders, tight elbows, plenty of front, very good ribbing with good top & underlines, firm well angulated quarters, tail well set, so sound for one so young coming & going, good reach & follow through from behind, gives a lovely overall picture in profile, has the makings of a great one, good luck, CC his first & BP. 2, Hunt’s CWMDARHIAN HOGAN’S HERO AT CARPACCIO, 6 month B/T, loved his head, nice clean lines throughout, everything flows, so sound in front & everything fits together right for his age, promising pup that just has some tidying up to do behind.

JD (0),PGD (3,2abs), 1, Gatheral-Graham’s PHEALAND SCREW DRIVER, most handsome 20 month red, good head & eye, well arched neck, copy book front & shoulders, firm well muscled body, short loins, thick well muscled hammy quarters, sound both ways, really opened his gait in profile, projects himself well the more he went the better he looked, I see he is out of my BOB winner from last time, should go onto his title with luck, RCC being a shade more exaggerated throughout than the puppy.

LD (7, 3), 1, Furber’s GAMERON SMART CHOICE AT DORYSA, old fashioned type of male, 2yr b/t, nothing exaggerated at all, sound honest chap, he is so well made both ends, everything fits well & is so well muscled, good shoulders, firm topline, very good ribbing, short lions, firm parallel hocks, projects himself well in profile, very sound coming & going, not a glamour boy but a sound honest Dachshund. 2, McNaughton’s CEDAVOCH BORN TO BOOGIE, 3yr red that I have seen before & liked, everything about this boy is in proportion, longer & more exaggerated than 1 that I do like, good head & eve, long neck, very good body, well made behind, looks good in profile though just not opening his stride behind as 1, still like him & feel sure he will be useful. 3, Brettell’s HAMPDACH RICH LEGACY AT DIMINUDAX.

OD (4),some poor feet in this class with nails that really need attention, 1, Hunt’s CH LAURALEE LIVING DAYLIGHTS AT CARPACCIO, 3 yr b/t, loved his head & noble expression, very good shoulders, tight elbows, plenty of fore chest with plenty of room, good body with correct top & underlines, short firm loins, could be firmer behind, very sound coming, goes well in profile with that lovely reach of neck, though on the day I just thought he could have had more drive from behind. For type alone he will always be there abouts. 2, McNaughton’s CEDAVOCH GALADRIM, 5yr b/t, smaller & more compact, good head & eye, firm well muscled front, good legs & feet, tight elbows, good body, excels in hind quarters, so well made & angled, ultra sound going away & really drives in profile this alone ran him very close to 1. 3, Chamber’s RIJOBEAU I SWEAR YA HONOUR AT VIEWMOOR.

PB (1), Tite’s RIJOBEAU DONE N DUSTED, absolutely stunning 10 month b/t, sister to the DCC & will without doubt make a name for herself. Beautiful femine head, well arched neck, well angulated shoulders, plenty of front, very good body & ribbing, cast iron topline, so well made behind, very sound in front but still a bit sloppy going away, moves well in profile, a delightful character that looks mouthwatering stacked, another month will make all the difference, still carrying some puppy fat, once she slims down will be very hard to beat, good luck with her.

JB (1, 1). 1 Henningsen’s BENSARKA SUNKISSED SKY, very nice compact 16 month red, lovely head & eye, well arched neck, good shoulders, tight elbows, firm topline, good underline, enough ground clearance, good firm quarters, so sound up & down, looks good in profile, schooled to perfection, promising girl who looked the part.

PGB (3,2) Furber’s ROLETA CONSTANT REMINDER TO DORYSA, 20 month b/t, smaller & more compact in type, more workmanlike, fair head, enough neck, plenty of front, good ribbing being more than well covered!, short thick loins, firm parallel hocks, touch untidy coming towards but so sound going away, did enough in profile but without doubt will benefit from a diet!.

LB ( 4) 1, Cooper’s HACIENDA LO N BEHOLD ITS SONTAG (IMP), the shine & condition on this 20 month red was stunning & a credit, Lovely head & eye, long firm well arched neck, tight shoulders, good long firm body in correct proportion, short loins, firm hammy quarters, sound enough coming & going, her carriage in profile is beautiful, giving a really lovely picture. An object lesson in presentation & condition. 2, Turner’s MARICTUR MOULIN ROUGE, another very nice red, more compact & less exaggerated, her shoulder construction is faultless, the angles are clear & precise, good body & height to length ratio’s, well made behind & correct tail set & carriage, sound enough, looks well in profile, lovely follow through from behind, liked both these girls very much. 3, Gatheral-Graham’s RIJOBEAU LEAGUE OF HONOUR.

OB (6,1) 1, Hunt’s CH LAURALEE MISS CHOKKY WOKEY AT CARPACCIO, just stunning,2 yr choc, everything about her pleased me so much, very nice to go over on the table, really feminine head & outlook, well arched neck, very good shoulders, good fore chest, firm topline, well ribbed, short loins, well angulated quarters, ultra sound coming & going, on the move her profile movement is faultless & an object lesson, presented in first class well muscled condition, probably the most clear cut cc I have ever awarded, just beautiful CC,BOB & made the cut, well done. 2, Macdonald’s AM CH HAMPDACH CLASSIC GOLD AT BENSARKA, 3yr red, another that excels on the move, super type & feminine out look, good head, well arched neck that she uses so well on the move, good shoulders, tight elbows, everything fits, firm topline, good under line, well made behind,  very sound coming & going, looks very good in profile, fit, firm & active, very good overall picture RCC. 3, McNaughton’s CEDAVOCH I LOVE TO BOOGIE.
