DACHSHUND - SMOOTH HAIRED
VD (1) 1
Jeffery's Rosenket Heir Apparent At Andax ShCM. Almost 8 years old chocolate dog
of balanced proportions. Good ribbing, tight elbows and nicely filled front.
Being slightly out of coat did not detract, he still moved with drive and kept a
good outline.
PD (1) 1 and Best Puppy Higgins' Leveliss Saucy Sailor. Black and tan 9
months old puppy dog. Lovely size, hammy quarters, enough neck, pleasing front
and head, in gleaming coat, moved well and kept a strong topline, very steady
for a baby.
OD (4) 1 and Best Dog Hunt's Ch Cwmdarhian Hogan's Hero At Carpaccio.
Black and tan dog of slightly bigger proportions than 2. Well presented and
muscled to support his frame. Good bone, pleasing head and expression with a
strong underjaw, well bodied without carrying too much fat. Really came into his
own on the move using his hocks to drive off his rear with a free flowing stride
and good front extension, which earned him the class over another super dog in
2nd place. 2 & Reserve Best Dog Cooper's Ch Kochana's Celebration of Hacienda at
Sontag. Another lovely dog. Am sure both could change places on another day.
Slightly shorter cast which gave a balanced outline, lovely top and underline
held well both standing and moving, arched neck, proud head carriage, presented
in tip top condition and moving soundly. The free, reachy movement of the first
just edged it on the day. 3 Jeffrey's Carpaccio Summer Class at Andax.
JB (2) 1, Best Bitch, Best of Breed and Group 3 Hunt's Carpaccio Cognac
Diamond. Compact, well-muscled chocolate bitch, not overdone in any aspect.
Presented in immaculate condition and handled to get the very best out of her.
Correct height to length ratio, super construction which showed in her easy,
flowing movement, driving from a well-muscled, rounded rear and powering round
the ring keeping an excellent outline at all times, looked like she could go all
day. Thrilled to see her gain 3rd place in a strong Hound Group. 2 Bruz,
Sembu-Kargo, Simanaviciute's Jasmin is Favoritu Lizdo (imp). 12 month old
chocolate, finer in bone and substance all through than the first and not
behaving for her handler today. Feminine head and expression, super temperament,
and very naughty on the move, which made her movement very difficult to assess.
She could carry more body weight to advantage and benefit from some training.
PGB 1 Bruz, Sembu-Kargo, Simanaviciute's Jasmin is Favoritu Lizdo
(imp).
OB 1 and Reserve Best Bitch Higgins' Leveliss What She Said. Neat black
and tan bitch with everything in the right place. Compact and well-muscled, well
filled front and enough ground clearance. Moved well keeping a lovely outline to
win the class. 2 HuntCarpaccio Black Pearl. A pretty bitch of correct size with
a very elegant front and neck. Moved with drive and extension, just not holding
her topline as strongly as 1 and a little proud of her tail. Otherwise lots to
like about her. 3 Bruz, Sembu-Kargo, Simanaviciute's Jasmin is Favoritu Lizdo
(imp).
