A very nice entry of 52 dogs.
Thee were quite a few absentees, which was understandable with the threat of
snow and bad weather, but much worse to come on the following days. I was very
pleased with the quality and especially the temperaments, which have improved
so much. No shrinking violets today, quite the opposite. Some were rather
upright in shoulders, a few could have had better feet.
MPD(1) 1 Linacre's Rosenket Rigoletto. Just 6 mths this b/t who was
enjoying himself with a hop, skip and a jump, delightful temperament, just
needs a bit of schooling, attractive head, dark eyes, excellent coat, needs to
settle down on the move and for his topline to improve.
JD(4) 1 Gaskin's Hacienda Sunkissed Skipper At Dovestream. 15 mths
red, comfortable winner I thought, quality head, intelligent expression, good
length of body, well ribbed up, held his topline when moving, clean and well
presented, strong quarters, made the most of himself both standing and moving.
2 Cox, Cobo-Pinto &Fellows' Ralines Dark Knight. 16 mths b/t, masculine
youngster with clean neckline, good bone and body, well handled and presented.
Not quite the movement of first. 3 Starkey's Carpaccio Jasper From Hamoure.
PGD(4, 2) 1 Gaskin's Hampdach Take It To The Limit With Dovestream Sh
C. Two and a half yr old red, good type and size, clean outline, well
proportioned, keen, intelligent expression, good reach of neck, steady showman,
moved quite well, well conditioned and handled. 2 Macdonald's Bensarka
Cosmopolitan. 13 mths red, masculine head of good length, excellent bone, legs
and feet, prominent breastbone, firm body and topline, a little long in hocks
and looked a shade immature.
LD(7, 2) Quite a mixed class. Cooper's Kochana's Celebration
Of Hacienda At Sontag. 18 mths b/t, smart young man in good form, quality head,
expressive eyes, excellent body, clean, well presented coat, moved well behind
but could have a little more reach in front, calm, steady showman. 2 Payton's
Hampdach Gold Quest. 4 yrs old red, looked well in profile movement and up and
down, standing he sunk into himself a bit, good head and expression, well
conditioned. 3 Jeffrey's Carpaccio Summer Class At Andax ShCM.
OD(9, 4) 1 and CC, Macdonald's Bensarka Phoenix Sun. 2 yr old
red of lovely quality, most attractive head and expression, dark almond eyes,
well proportioned, firm topline, well ribbed up, lovely feet, well muscled
quarters, very fit, glossy coat, confident showman who moved with a purpose,
well presented and handled. 2 and RCC, Hunt's Ch Cwmdarhian Hogan's Hero At
Carpaccio JW. 2 yrs old b/t, another who held his topline both standing and
moving, pleasing head, good underjaw, strong body, good bone but winner scored
in feet, showed with composure, moved ok. 3 Gatheral-Graham's Phaeland Screw
Driver.
VD(1) 1 Linacre's Cavalleria Rusticana. 7 yrs old red, totally laid
back about it all, steady showman, good head, bone, legs and feet, excellent
ribcage, prominent breastbone, good coat, moved ok behind but a bit close in
front.
PB(2) 1 and BP, Hunt's Carpaccio Cognac Diamond. 9 mths choc/t,
quality puppy who impressed with her side movement, really using her
hindquarters properly, very good topline, clean and well turned out, feminine
head but could be a little stronger in muzzle. 2 Bethel's Hampdach One Way Or
Another. 11 mths b/t, attractive head, good expression, excellent coat, topline
needs to improve and movement to settle down.
JB(8, 3) 1 and RCC, Macdonald's Bensarke Cheeky Vimto. Typy 13
mths red, started off a little shy on the move but she soon found her rhythm
and moved really well going round, quality head, intelligent expression,
splendid coat, lovely feet, fit and well muscled, shapely body, level topline,
full of potential. 2 Kerry's Ralines Pretty Woman At Kireton. 16 mths choc/t, I
liked this bitch very much, good length of body, pretty head, excellent coat
and condition, moved ok, sensible showgirl but a bit of a fidget when standing.
3 Burke &Manston's Bonavoir Miss Behave.
PGB(4, 1) 1 Gatheral-Graham's Phaeland Smooth N Dark. 3 yrs b/t,
looked well once she got into gear on the move, quality head, good coat,
prominent breastbone, good bone, after producing a litter of nine, she just
needs to get back into form. 2 Higgins' Leveliss Drink Down The Moon. 20 mths
red, carrying a little surplus weight today, good bone, feet well proportioned,
sympathetically handled, could move with a little more drive. 3 Hinwood's Longmel
Tempting Truffle.
LB(5, 2) 1 Chauhan's Honey Crisp. 20 mths red, feminine bitch who
moved and showed with style and energy, could lose half a pound to advantage,
attractive head, keen expression, good breast bone, clean neckline, well
handled and conditioned. 2 Gatheral-Graham's Phaeland Special Duty. 3 yrs old
red, sporting a false pregnancy, so underline not looking 100 per cent, moved
well, typical head, arched neck, well boned, excellent coat. 3 Tite's Rijobeau
Done N Dusted.
OB(7, 3) 1, CC and BOB, Henningsen's Ch Bensarke Sunkissed Sky. 2 yrs
red, litter sister to DCC winner, very smart, all quality bitch in good form,
lovely head, dark intelligent eyes, won this class with a bit to spare, like
all from this kennel, marvellous feet, good topline, body and quarters, moved
and showed perfectly, well conditioned and handled. 2 McNaughton's Diana De
Fermincan (Imp). Shaded red of three, no mistaking her for anything but a
bitch, very feminine head and outlook, good topline on the move, showed herself
off to advantage, could be firmer in hind action. 3 Higgins' Leveliss What She
Said.
