DACHSHUND - SMOOTH HAIRED
PD (4) 1. Mcnaughton's
Cedavoch Sanquhar red, beautifully constructed puppy that is all of a piece.
Nice clean head good bite, good eye shape, clean reachy neck going into well
angulated shoulders. Sufficient pro-sternum and well let down into the crook,
good bone tight feet and nice tight elbows, excellent spring and length of
ribbing well angulated hindquarters which he uses to the full. CC. & BP, 2.
Gatherall-Graham's Pheland Star Double, lovely type, good angles at front and
rear moves soundly. A little apprehensive, felt he was a touch too low to
ground throughout 3.Bethel & Gaskin's Hampdach To Hot To Hold.
LD (1) Gaskin's Hampdach Take It To The Limit With Dovestream, well
balanced shaded red, pleasing head and eye with sufficient length of neck,
shoulders have correct angels but a little forward placed which effects his
reach on the move, good well filled in front, good length of sternum and
ribbing.
OD (3) 1 Hunt's Vch Cwmdarhian Hogans Hero At Carpaccio. B&T in
excellent hard condition, good strong masculine head, good reach of neck, a
little forward placed in shoulder and would prefer more length of ribbing. Good
freeflowing movement and drives out well rcc. 2. Norton's Matzell Man Of The
Moment, red quality exhibit well balanced clean outline, not the shoulder
angles of the winner hence my placing. 3. Gaskin's Mal.Ch. Hacienda Sunkissed
Skipper At Dovestream.
PB (3) 1. Andison & Peels Rijobeau Cookies & Cream, a quality puppy
has all the essentials, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck
excellent shoulder and front, good bone and feet, well ribbed, strong well
angulated hindquarters which she used to the full. Lovely outgoing temperament.
Would just prefer her a shade smaller for a bitch BPB.2.McNorton's Cedavoch
Sornn beautifully constructed youngster that shows great potential, not as
mature as the winner or as free flowing in movement at the moment. 3. Gatherall-Graham's
Phaeland Shy N Demanding.
JB (1) Andison & Peel's Rijobeau Carmel Crisp, red, good bone, a
little down in pastern which does nothing for her feet, sweet head, good eye
shape, reachy neck, sound shoulders and front, good rear angulation moves out
well, again would prefer her slightly smaller for a bitch. Excellent
temperament,
PGB (1) 1. Dalgety's Thundergay Bebop A Lula b& t pleasing clean
balanced outline, sound movement, would have preferred a touch more bone and a
little more rear angulation.
LB (1) Dalgety's Thundergay Delta Dawn, a quality bitch, lovely head
and eye good reach of neck, exceptional shoulder and front assembly good length
of ribbing, again would have liked a touch more anuglation, in excellent hard
condition but carrying a little too much weight.
OB (8) A really lovely class of quality bitches. I just wish I had had
two challenge certificates to award. I found this class really difficult to
judge because of the variation of type. 1. Norton's Ch Matzell Maid In Time,
red a bitch of excellent quality that fits the breed standard completely. Good
height to length ratio and moves out soundly with a good side gait and true
coming and going.CC & BOB 2. Dalgety's Thundergay Blue Bayou, I just fell in
love with this bitch just my type, lovely clean outline, excellent front and
shoulder, good length of ribbing and loin, and superb hindquarters, also moved
well. She is just a touch to low to fill the ratio criteria of the current
breed standard which is what swayed my decision 3. Hunt's Carpaccio Cognac
Diamond. A choc of excellent quality, felt she was a little out of her depth on
maturity in this class.
