Dachshund (Smooth Haired)

Whilst i liked my principal winners some exhibits were far too long caste and overstretched themselves giving a very 'hammock' like topline.

PD(1) 1 Armstrong's Lauralee Saddlers Wells. Red 7 month young male. with a nice head and neck and super keel lovely tight feet. Good topline. Well ribbed moved steadily in front, needs to tighten up behind and topline needs to settle, but a nice promising puppy.

pgd (1) 1 Ellis' Tealby Red Between The Lines. Young red dog with a lovely head and eye. Good neck and correct shoulders. excellent front , keel and ribbing, steady topline. He is not too big with good tight feet. Well angulated behind. looks the picture standing and did not disappoint on the move. Res CC

LD (4) 1 Starkey's Carpaccio Jasper From Hamoura. Black/ tan nice and strong in shape not carrying excess weight which the others in the class were. Good shoulders and ribbing steady on the move. Tight feet. Quite pleasing head and eye. Sufficient keel. Hind angulation ok but very close in hock. Moved well. 2 Jeffery's Carpaccio Summerclass At Andax Sh CM. This dog had a nice shape and topline but was heavier over the shoulder and therfore tended to roll in front on the move 3 Jones' Adnerbs Smooth Criminal SHCM.

OD (5) This class headed by a shaded red dog of super shape and type. 1 Macdonald's Bensarka Phoenix Sun. Super headed youngster with very good shoulders front and feet. Ribs go well back. He has very strong hocks and moved parallel behind. Lovely size. Excelled in movement. CC. I understand he is a champion now. 2 Norton's Matzell Man Of The Moment. A clear 3 year old red of lighter type not overdone in front. Lovely head and eye but not quite the shoulders of my winner and overstretched when stood which spoilt his topline. Very good mover. 3 Armstrong's Lauralee Galileo.

PB(1) 1 Armstrong's Lauralee Lush Lashes. Litter sister to puppy dog. Another red of 6 month. Sweet head and good neck and keel nice shoulders and forechest. Good tight feet. Well ribbed. Topline needs to tighten. Promising puppy. BP.

JB (4) 1 macdonald's bensarka cheeky vimto.A sweet shaded red with a smart head. Good neck and shoulders. Plenty of keel and tight feet. Strong well muscled hindquarters. Moved well. 2 hunt's carpaccio cognac diamond. Chocolate/tan just a year. Very nice front and feet. Sweet head and eye. plenty of keel. and retained her topline stood and on the move. Strong in front but moved with hocks very close behind. 3.Furber's Dorysa Dolly Varden

PGB (4) 1.Lovick Gibbs' Gameroon Kahoots With Roleta. A nice shaded red with a sweet head and good eye. Correct shoulders and plenty of keel. Lovely tight feet. Good topline. Strong behind with parallel hocks. Challenged hard for Res CC. 2.Jones' Adnerbs Betty Boop. Another red with a nice expression and eye. Could have more underjaw. Good front and ribbing. Tight feet. Retained her topline on the move. A little low to ground for me. Moved close and not as strong behind as the winner. 3. Kerry's Ralines Pretty Woman At Kireton.

LB (3,1) 1. Norton's Matzell's Maid In Time. A red bitch of good proportions. Could have more width in front. Sufficient keel. Good outline. Nice shoulders and tight feet. Good outline. 2.Furber's Roleta Constant Reminder To Dorysa. Black/tan pleasing head and eye. Heavier and lower to ground &. not the neck and shoulders of my winner. Feet could be tighter. Moved quite well.

OB(7,1) 1. Henningsen's Ch Bensarka Sunkissed Sky. This bitch caught my eye as she entered the ring as had her litter brother my cc winner! Super proportions. Good for size and length. Lovely head and eye. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. A shaded red with excellent feet and ribbing. Retained her topline and used her strong parallel hindquarters so well on the move. CC & BOB. 2. Turner's Marictur Moulin Rouge. Another nice type bitch. Clear red. Good head, eye and neck, good feet ribbing. and shoulders. Strong behind but not quite the extension in front of my winner. Res CC. 3 Armstrong's Ch Lauralee Peeping Fawn.
