MPD (2) 1st Seago & Gibbard's Amlida
Spirit. Chocolate, good for size, reach of neck, ribs carrying fairly well
back, level backline, well set and carried tail and he has enough bend of
stifle. Head planes pleased, very good eyes and well placed ears. In good
coat. Just a shade loose in front action but balanced side on. 2 Valentine's
Morailsa Secret Script. B/t whose sternum I appreciated, lovely neck and
level in back, ribs could carry further back and I would prefer a shorter
loin. In lovely coat, his head is balanced but I felt he had not such a good
eye as the winner. Side on he moved well but again his front needs to firm
up.
PD (3, 1) 1 Tite's Phaeland Special
Driver At Rijobeau and 2, Payton's Minalsa Mulberry Of Marajo, Two reds
which both appealed in different ways. I felt the first scored in having
such a good length in his ribs to a fairly compact loin and his front action
was steadier with more reach and his hocks less close than the second going
away. The second was a better size for my taste with more reach in neck and
a cleaner, more flowing outline. They both had decent heads, with good eyes
and well placed and shaped ears.
JD (7, 1) 1 Home's Pachego Compare
The Market With Oxondachs. I liked the size and overall proportions of this
B/t. He has a very good head, well shaped dark eyes and I liked his
expression. He has a good length of neck, well laid shoulders and very good
feet. His backline is smooth, the ribs have length and he has just enough
hind angulation. He performed well on the move when circling the ring. 2
Bethel's Hampdach Simply Red. In super jacket this red could have more
strength in muzzle for his skull. He doesd have a super reach of neck, very
good ribs for length and depth, well defined sternum and good bone. Needs to
settle more when coming towards as he becomes somewhat jaunty and throws his
front feet.
PGD (2) 1 Bethel & Gaskin's Sobahli
Sham Prezent To Hampdach (Imp). A b/t which for me scored in his lovely
size, ground clearance, well shaped head with such a good muzzle and well
shaped eyes. Just about enough neck, smooth backline with that hint of loin
rise, well muscled hindquarters and good tail carriage. Smooth in profile
action with good hock use. 2 Stringfellow's Sontag Silver Sorceror. A red
which is a bit leggy. Well shaped and balanced head, not quite the eye of
the first but he was in super coat. He has a great neck, his back is firm,
the hind angulation very good and he is so well muscled. Needs ring training
to control his enthusiasm which was reflected in his somewhat proud tail
carriage.
LD (3, 1) 1 McNaughton's Cedavoch
Sanquhar. The first of three litter mates which appealed. I loved his head,
full of quality yet with ample strength throughout. His eyes are so
expressive, he has ample neck, well laid shoulders, ribs carry well back and
he is strongly muscled aft. Smooth, free striding action. 2 Norton's Matzell
Man Of The Match. Another red and quite different in type. I liked his head,
eyes and expression. I felt he was a shade long cast, especially in loin so
the compactness in body was not evident. He has good shoulders, lovely
sternum and he is well boned. Paddling a bit when coming towards me, though
side on he shows good hock use.
OD (4) Best class of the day with
four worthy Champions. 1, CC & BOB, McNaughton's Ch Cedavoch Strachur.
Brother to the LD. Loved him as he is so shapely, not overlong but excellent
ribbing to a short loin, very good neck and head carriage, croup sweeps
smoothly to well angulated hindquarters and he is so well conditioned and
muscled. His front action was so true and accurate and in profile he held
his shape so well. In excellent coat. 2 & Res CC, Hunt's Ch Cwmdarhian
Hogan's Hero At Carpaccio JW. Well known winning b/t with lots to admire. I
liked his whole fore assembly, good head, eyes and ears, long neck, good
thorax and he is well ribbed. Shoulders well placed and he has good weight
in bone. Sound in front action but I felt the winner had the edge in bend of
stifle and hock action. 3 Ch Bensarka Phoenix Sun.
MPB (2, 1) 1 & BP, Higgins' Leveliss
Hong Kong Garden. What a pretty b/t this is. Looks all quality, totally
feminine yet has substance, is well boned, beautiful head, eyes and
expression and what a neck. Her ribs have length, the hindquarters have good
angulation and her tail is well carried. Shining in jacket she moved
smoothly around the ring. Shall watch her career with interest.
PB (7, 3) 1 Tite's Phaeland Starlite
Dancer At Rijobeau. I see her brother won PD. This red scores in outline as
her reach of neck and head carriage coupled to her clean backline and mould
croup all add to her appeal. Her profile action is even striding and
balanced. Not quite as outgoing in temperament as the MP but has plenty of
time to settle. 2 Paterson's Phaeland Sent Direct To Ambiesque. Litter
sister to the first. I really liked her head shape, beautiful eyes and an
expression of real quality. Her ribbing and keel; are so good and she was in
shining coat condition. Never settled on the move as well as the winner and
she is a little too proud of that tail. 3 Ragett's Dansila Reach For The
Stars.
JB (3, 1) 1 Norton's Matzell Minella.
Fair length, back needs to tighten as she tends to be slack behind the
withers, beautiful headpiece, especially good eyes, scores in neck and
sternum. She has adequate bend of stifle and just needs to settle when
moving. 2 Kerry's Kireton Corinna Belle. Chocholate with a decent skull
though I would like a heavier muzzle. Her eyes are on the large side and she
was showing the whites a fair bit. Nice length/height proportions, very good
reach of neck excellent hindquarters and tail and her profile action was
effective.
PGB (3, 1) 1 Howe's Oxondachs Bon
Bon. Nice for size this b/t presents an appealing outline, fairly compact in
body with well developed sternum and strong hindquarters. Her head is rather
nice with nice eyes for size and colour and the skull is flat. Side on she
reaches well and has good hock use. 2 Valentine's Amlida Elise. Chocolate
carrying too much body weight which is a pity. I liked her head balance, eye
a little on the full side but her expression is pleasant. She has a good
neck, is fairly compact in loin and has a very good bend of stifle. With
that construction she should move better than she does but I'm sure it was
the extra weight that did little to assist her.
LB (5) 1 & Res CC, Dare's Hampdach
One Way Or. Another I really appreciate the size and proportions of this
quality b/t. She has substance and well weighted bone but she is not clumsy
as some of the heavyweights have become. She looks purposeful, is so well
put together with correct angles both ends. Her head is so good, balanced,
lovely eyes and such a good foreface. She is sound on the move and ran the
ticket winner close. 2 Hunt's Carpaccio Hershay Kisses. Chocolate, not the
lovely hindquarters of the winner and somehow was not as balanced as her as
they went around the ring together. She has a good head, very good
expressive eyes and well set ears. Enough reach of neck and very well ribbed
with a smooth backline. 3 Dalgety's Thundergay Blue Bayou.
OB (6, 1) 1, CC & BOB, McNaughton's
Ch Cedavoch Sornn. A red of quality and sheer breed type. Loved her
headpiece, strength with that dash of quality in expression, generous neck,
so well ribbed and bodied with a good rump and tail set. She is nicely
angulated aft and moved effortlessly around the ring. More than happy to
send her through to the Group. 2 McDonald's Bensarka Golden Garter. 5 years
old and she has so much to admire. I don't like her tail set and her back
can slacken at times, but she is lovely in so many ways. Stunning head,
sternum reach of neck and spring of rib. Well boned, very good feet and she
has some ground clearance. In super coat she has a certain charm and she
certainly moved well in profile. 3 Dalgety's Thundergay Bebop A Lula.
