I would like to say a big thank you to the officers & committee for inviting me to judge at their championship show, to my stewards for keeping everything running smoothly & of course the exhibitors for their entries. I had a lovely day & the weather was kind.
PD (2,1a) 1 Williams & Moes’ Cwmdarhian San Andreas, stood alone but what a stunning red puppy, lovely head & reach of neck into good forehand, correct body proportions & neat well let down quarters. Loved everything about him, so correct for his age & such a free mover, couldn’t be denied the RCC & BP. JD (2) 1 McNaughton’s Carper Ag von Nordor, excellent red boy, masculine head with good bone & balanced all through. Firm quarters, excellent driving movement, little apprehensive on the table but made up for it on the move; 2 Clark & Hastie’s Sirius Rising, b/t with strong head, carried well, shoulder OK, slightly forward. In good clean condition, preferred balance & movement of 1. PGD (2) 1 Hunt’s Carpaccio Trouble In Store, handsome b/t, stood proudly, lovely head, neck & clean body lines, good bone, would have liked a little more bend of stifle, but moved steady & sound, keeping a good outline; 2 Crosbie & Holroyd’s Bonavoir Red Hector, red boy, smaller type, good head, eye & expression, good body proportions, spring & length of ribbing, neat quarters, used well on the move. LD (5,1) 1 Macdonald’s Jagies Nabucco at Bensarka, two quality males, close decision. Smart red, correct size & balance, good houndy shaped head. Good front with tight elbows. Moved round freely, keeping a good outline; 2 Andison & Peel’s Shardaroba’s Indian Wedding, correct size & proportions, neat shoulder with enough forechest, neat well angulated rear, good movement & outline; 3 Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Seal The Deal. OD (3) 1 Armstrong’s Ch Lauralee Nicholas Nickleby, star quality b/t, masculine head carried proudly on strong clean neck & topline, correct angulation both ends. Standing looked a picture & came alive in the move, never put a foot wrong. Presented in tip top condition. CC, BOB & pleased to see he went on to G4; 2 Norton’s Matzell Man Of The Match, another excellent boy with good head & eye, neck & shoulders. Firm topline, just preferred quarters of 1. Moved round with ease, keeping a lovely outline; 3 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Sanquhar.
PB (6,1) 1 Williams & Moes’ Cwmdarhian Hotoff The Press, two promising puppies. Red youngster, litter sister to the puppy dog. Looked a picture both standing & moving, keeping a lovely body shape. Excelled on the move, a touch wide behind, liked her a lot; 2 Hunt’s Lauralee Miss Marple at Carpaccio, b/t 6 months, loved everything about this puppy, good size, lovely head & body proportions, nice temperament, moved out very well, times on her side, very promising; 3 Paget & Carroll’s Lauralee Lying Eyes for Marvale. JB (2) 1 Andison & Peel’s Clentry Red Or Dead, youngster of good size, good head, bone & substance, shoulder & tight elbows ribbing well back & neat quarters. Moved out really well keeping a lovely outline; 2 Playfair’s Demorgan Secret, pleasing head & length of neck, not quite as together as 1. Finer bone & a little long in hock but moved out quite well. PGB (3) 1 Paterson’s Phaeland Sent Direct to Ambiesque, red youngster, good head shape, clean neck into nicely angulated forequarters, tight elbows, ribbing well back. Good rear used well on the move with ease; 2 Morgan Aitken’s Morailsa Secret Romance for Demorgan, b/t, very nice girl, well presented in good condition. Nice size & temperament, moved soundly, lovely outline; 3 Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Society Dancer. LB (7,2) 1 Macdonald’s Bensarka Sarabi, elegant red bitch, good head & length of neck, correct shoulder & forechest, balanced body shape, moved with style, keeping a lovely outline. RCC; 2 Norton’s Matzell Minella, another quality girl, also good in forequarters, head on reachy neck, clean to go over, good body shape & moved freely; 3 Armstrong’s Lauralee Lush Lashes. OB (6,1) 1 Williams & Moes’ Aust Ch Cwmdarhian Hot Chocolate, another lovely exhibit from this kennel. Elegant girl, lovely houndy head, good length of neck into clean tight shoulders, enough forechest, good topline & underline, moved true, a little hesitant at times. CC; 2 Williams & Moes’ Hampdach Merinda, quality red, nice type, very sound with good head & front construction, well angulated quarters. Moved soundly with drive, just seemed a little uneasy at times; 3 Hunt’s Ch Sontag Shanda Leah. VB (1) 1 Turner’s Marictur Moulin Rouge, what a smart well schooled red girl of 7 years. Showed her socks off, seemed to be enjoying her day. I have judged in the past, she really looks as well now as she did then. Congratulations to her owner.
