A numerically good entry of 50 exhibits, it’s a few years since I judged the variety & the last time I did so, I was disappointed with the number of nervous dogs, unhappy to be in the ring & lacking confidence. Sadly, the failing is still present. Many of the males in particular were too big & too long for the breed proportions, I was pleased with the depth of quality in the two open classes.

MPD 1 Cwmdarhian San Andreas, of correct size & proportions & confident temperament, 6 months red, quality dog who moves well from good angulation, good length & ribbing, good head & eye, great promise. BPD; 2 Kireton Beau Diddley, 8 months b/t, larger dog in beautiful condition, good rear, not the front of winner or front action; 3 Amlida Vantage for Dansila. JD 1 Carper A.G Von Nordor, correct size 15 months red, good proportions & movement but needs more confidence. Well made & ribbed. Good mover, needs more confidence; 2 Carpaccio Trouble IN Store, 15 months bigger dog, overdone for my taste & again needing more confidence. PGD 1 Amilda Spirit, 19 months choc/t of correct size & proportions, well ribbed back but needing more body but this should come with maturity, can firm up in feet, I liked him a lot; 2 Morailsa Return To Sender to Gameron, 20 months b/t in beautiful condition, a little longer for balance, a good mover, feet can be improved; 3 Bensarka Mr Mistofelees at Tristanskeep. LD 1 Sobahli Shan Prezent President to Hampdach, 2 years b/t, correct for size & balance & carried a good topline, could be clearer in front but his balance won him this class; 2 Phaeland Special Driver at Rijobeau, 21 months red, the best mover in the class but a little long for my preference, he has a lovely head & eye, good bone & feet, very extrovert temperament & flies his tail, but I prefer that to lack of temperament; 3 Jagies Nabucco at Bensarka. OD A good class. Ch Lauralee Nicholas Nickleby, 2 years b/t who is of good proportion & ground clearance, but a little heavy for my preference. I would prefer him a little finer all through. However he won this class on his front movement & topline which never faltered & he had confidence in his carriage. CC; 2 Ch Loveliss Saucy Sailor, my winner at first glance as I prefer his size & he has a beautiful head & eye & a good temperament. His front movement & topline on the move were not as good as the winner on the day, a pity. RCC; 3 Carpaccio Jasper from Hamoura. 

MPB 1 Cwmdarian Hotoff The Press, 6 months outstanding puppy, little to change standing or moving, should have a great future. BP & later won hound puppy group, great type, great temperament, star quality; 2 Adnerbs Lexi Get Fizzkay, 7 months, quality puppy of excellent temperament. Just a little longer for balance than the winner but full of quality; 3 Kireton Daisy Belle. PB 1 Amlida Ascari, 9 months, lovely type but needs more confidence, scored in angulation to win this; 2 Demorgan Secret Liaison, 10 months b/t in excellent condition, but like the winner needs more confidence, assemble a little forward placed. PGB 1 Kiersha Future’s Dream, b/t, quality bitch of lovely proportions & she moved well carrying a firm topline, good head & eye, steady temperament; 2 Phaeland Sent Direct to Ambiesque, 22 months red in lovely condition & a good mover, a little overdone in keel for perfect balance; 3 Dansila Reach For The Stars. LB 1 Lady Godiva Vd Mibafs Hoeve at Conchur, 18 months old, beautiful head, eye & temperament on this choc/dapple, comfortable winner of this class, lovely proportions & movement & carries herself with confidence, lovely head & eye, pressed hard for RCC; 2 Bensarka Sarabi, 21 months red of good size & proportions & with a lovely head & eye, good quarters, not yet fully mature in body & this shows in her underline at the moment; 3 Lauralee Lush Lashes. OB 1 Hampdach Merindna, 2 years red in top condition & never lost her topline. Well angulated & with good front. Scored in topline & head for me & took the CC which made her up, BOB & G2, furtheremore she is dam to the two winning puppies, a treasure; 2 Sh Ch Sontag Shanda Leah, 3 years, slightly heavier bitch of lovely quality. Not quite as firm in topline as the winner but full of type & took the RCC; 3 Ch Amlida Evora.
