Really enjoyed my judging appointment of the Standard Smooth-haired Dachshunds. I would like to thank the Committee for inviting me.

JD (1) 1 Balazs-Hirt's Colocensis Rex Mister At Gravelous (Imp Hun). Nice head and expression, good reach of neck, laid back shoulders, would have preferred more length of ribbing, moved well. Well handled. RBD.

LD (2) 1 Bethal & Gaskin's Sobahli Sham Prezent President To Hampdach (Imp Rus) ShCM. Lovely exhibit of correct type, good reach of neck flowing onto nicely angulated shoulders, good ribbing, moved well coming towards me and going away, well handled. BD. 2 Starkey's Carpaccio Topic Of The Day Is Hamoura. Nice head, good reach of neck, level topline, good length of ribbing, but seemed to lack in spring of rib, would have preferred more width in front.

OD (3, 1) 1 Bethal & Gaskin'sHampdach Simply Red. Nicely balanced throughout, good width in front and rear, good length of ribbing and undercarriage. 2 Balazs-Hirt's Kenzo Vom Rott Gold At Gravelous. Nice type but unfortunately didn't move very well, played her handler up which made it difficult to assess.

PB (7, 1) 1 McNaughton's Cedavoch Rainstorm. Superb quality throughout, well balanced  nice size. Good reach of neck flowing onto correct shoulder placement, prominent forechest, good rear angulation. Moved really well, expertly handled, RBB. 2 Heel's Rijobeau ravishing Rita. Larger type than one, good reach of neck, good length of ribbing, maintained a firm topline. Just preferred movement of first.

PGB (1) 1 Mitchell's Cedavoch Solar Storm At Bronia. Superb quality throughout, fabulous head and expression, prominent forechest, good reach of neck onto excellent shoulder placement, good length of ribbing and undercarriage, good rear angulation,  moved well, expertly handled, was delighted to award her BB, BOB & BP.
