I thought numerically a very good entry. It is now 4 years since I last judged this, the blue print variety. I thought the breed was in better shape, temperaments generally ok, size and heaviness particularly better, hind action better. Feet remain almost universally a problem as was length of loin. It was surprising to find type within the entry so varied, however I though the 2 CC winners complimented each other well. Interesting to see imports having an influence.

Promising d wthi a good outline. He has a lengthy head, correct stop, well set ears. Long neck. Well laid shoulder but short in upper arm and feet could be better. Good forechest, well ribbed back. He is slightly long in loin. Topline is ok. Well made rear with low hocks. Moved pretty well.

Bit too large and heavy in type. He has a lengthy head, lovely eye and expression, a little lippy. Lengthy neck. Shoulders could be better laid. He has a good forechest which is better filled than 2 well sprung ribs, level topline, if a bit flat in croup causing him to lift his tail. Well made rear. Good out and back, moderate stride.

2nd: 578 SKIPPER Mrs S E & Mr J P Lauralee Artful Dodger 

I preferred him for size. He has a good head with the darkest of eyes. Ok for neck. Just a bit narrow in chest and over turns his feet out. Liked his body and rear. Not as good on move as 1.

Quite a nice sort of d who is a good size and well proportioned. Masculine head Eye and expression could be better. Correct length of neck. He has a good shoulder and lengthy, well angled upper arm. Feet could be better. Chest is a bit too deep for his leg length and he sinks on the table, looks better moving. Super topline except he is square over croup. Well bent stifle and low hocks. Moved well.

2nd: 577 PAYTON Ms C J Minalsa Mulberry of Marajo 

Heavier type of d and a little but long in loin. He has a v good gear. A bit short in neck and heavy over the shoulder. Feet a little better than 2. Ribs are well sprung, liked his slope of coup. Rear is ok but moves under himself a bit.

1st: 574 MCNAUGHTON Ms L Carper A G Von Nordor (Imp) 

Really liked this d who could just put a bit more effort in. He has a lovely head. Long and strong neck. Quite a good front assembly. Really good forechest, it is enough without exaggeration. Well ribbed back with the best length of loin in males. Topline is ok. Well made rear. True out and back and has a lengthy stride. V nice size. CC

2nd: 586 WILLIAMS, Ms R & MOES Mr C Cwmdarhian San Andreas 

This d is v well made and a sound mover, just rather too heavy and long without the ground clearance of 1. He has a lovely head. Long neck. Good shoulder and upper arm. Wrinkled legs, which goes with his heavier type. Well bodied. Good rear. Super conditioning.

Really difficult class as 4 dogs of 4 types and different things to like or otherwise in each of them.

1st: 554 CHAUHAN, Dr M & CERASINI Mr J Gr Ch Brownwood's Best Gift V Diagram (Imp USA) 

He has a super temperament, probably the best of the entry, and looks much better moving than standing, where he sinks into himself and looks so low. Super head. Lengthy neck, which is slightly thick. Best front in the class. Good forechest. Level topline. Well ribbed back and ok in loin. Has a good rear. Lengthy stride and dead parallel. RCC, if only he would stop sinking!

2nd: 551 ARMSTRONG Mr M G & Mrs J I Ch Lauralee Nicholas Nickleby 

Has a lovely head with arrogant carriage. Long neck. Super forechest. He could have a slightly better front and feet. Super topline. Good depth of chest. Standing has a good rear but doesn't drive as well as 1.

3rd: 585 TITE Mr J Ch Phaeland Special Driver At Rijobeau

Very promising pup and just a little more together on the move than 2. She has a good head. Almond eyes. Good length of neck. Well made front, correct forechest. Little upright in pastern and feet could be better. Well ribbed. Holds a good topline. Correct rear. BP

2nd: 575 MCNAUGHTON Ms L Unita's Nothing Compares To U (Fin Imp) 

Liked this quality pup v much. Slightly European in head, but still typical. Long neck. Well made front, but just a fit loose on the move as yet. Well sprung ribs, could have a shorter loin. Super rear. Just needs to firm in topline.

Difficult class with mix of types and performance.

1st: 553 CHAUHAN Dr M Ralines Midsummers Night 

Still a baby of 6 mths and still needs to come together. She has a lovely head. Good neck. Shoulders could be better laid and rather too heavy over her shoulders. Well ribbed but long in loin. Slight slope to croup. Nice rear. She moved quite well.

2nd: 550 ANDISON, Mr J & PEEL Ms K Clentry Kiki Dee 

She is a v nice b to go over, and having so much fun on the move. Feminine head. Good neck. Fair front. She has good proportions but is surprisingly long in loin. Well made rear. When settled should be a useful b.

3rd: 583 STRINGFELLOW Mrs M Oxondachs Amethyst at Silvatica

V good type of b, fem and a nice size. She has a good head. Could have less dewlap. Well made front, clean over the shoulders. Well ribbed with a decent keel. V good rear. Could have a firmer topline.

2nd: 563 JONES Mrs & Miss B & C Adnerbs Lexi Get Fizzical 

Liked her size and type. She is just a little narrow in front. Fem head. lengthy neck. Fair front. Feet could be better. She has a well sprung rib if a bit long in loin. Holds a level topline. V good rear.

3rd: 576 PAGET, Mr M J & CARROLL Mr G J Lauralee Lying Eyes For Marvale

Well marked choc dapple who holds her lovely outline on the move. She has a nice head. Enough neck. Well laid shoulder and a good upper arm. Flat feet and nails could be shorter. Correct depth of chest. Long keel but also slightly long in loin. Enough hind angulation, can stand a little narrow in her rear. Very close up for RCC.

2nd: 564 JONES Mrs & Miss B & C Hampdach In These Arms Of Adnerb JW Sh.CM 

She presents a pleasing outline. Head could be slightly more classic. Long neck. Shoulders ok. She is a bit narrow in front. Good keel. Level topline. Could be shorter in loin. Nice rear. Not as balanced in stride as 1.

Liked her v much as well. Pleasing head, eyes just a bit rounded. Good neck. Just a bit too heavy over the shoulder. Well sprung rib. Long in loin. Liked her rear.

Liked the size and shape of this b, and she holds her outline on move where she has a good stride. Liked her head. Good neck. She is a bit forward in shoulder, but with a long and well angled upper arm. Little too wide in front and feet could be better. Long keel. Quite good in loin and so holds her topline. Liked her rear.

2nd: 552 BENNETT Mr J G Shardaroba's Dream Baby 

Different type, she is just a bit bigger and less feminine. European type of head rather than conical. She has a long neck. Well laid shoulder but short in upper arm. Feet rather flat. Well bodied. Good topline. Nice rear. Short steps in front compared to 1.
