It is a while since I last judged this variety & I feel the breed has improved in both size & temperament, with only a few being large & cumbersome & one or two having a nervous disposition.
PD (3) 1 Paterson’s Phaeland Second Delivery to Ambiesque, elegant puppy with good temperament. Lovely head & eye. Well filled front. Good feet. Beat two on better ribbing & slight refinement. BP; 2 Higgins’ Meganhol Black Musketeer of Leveliss, puppy with excellent front & fill. Mature. Well balanced head & oval eye. Shade longer in loin than 1, but an excellent prospect; 3 Cunningham’s Clentry Back To Black for Celandine. JD (1) 1 Skipper’s Lauralee Artful Dodger, kept good top & underline on the move. Pleasing head & eye. Mature b/t of 17 months. PGD (2,1a) Withheld, exhibit unsound. LD (4,1) 1 Macdonald’s Jagies Nabucco at Bensarka, red dog whom I liked as soon as he entered the ring. Lovely to go over with correct construction, elegance & a good temperament. Sadly he would not put all in on the move, doing just enough in the class to win, but forfeiting the RCC because of his lack of enthusiasm; 2 Starkey’s Capraccio Topic Of The Day Is Hamoura, choc who moved soundly back & front. Lost to 1 on elegance & being a heavier set dog. That said he had a good head & front with strong bone. Well developed forechest; 3 Stringfellow’s Sontag Silvan Sorcerer. OD (6) Strong class. 1 Chauhan & Cerasini’s Gr Ch Brownwood’s Best Gift V Diagram, lovely head & eye. Good bone & feet. Sound coming & going. Strong temperament. Well ribbed back. Kept his outline at all times. A quality dog. CC; 2 Williams & Moes’ Cwmdarhian San Andreas, lovely looking dog of excellent proportions. Super head & eye. Rather worried, which cost him first place & handler didn’t do anything to help, being rather heavy handed. RCC; 3 Armstrong’s Ch Lauralee Nicholas Nickleby.
PB (10,2) Super class with some promising babies. 1 Mitchell’s Cedovach Solar Storm at Bronia, very raw as yet & needs to strengthen behind, but that said she has all the essentials one could want. Super happy temperament, beautiful head & eye. Elegant neck & well laid shoulder; 2 Macdonald’s Bensarka I Like Twucks, lovely make & shape, plus correct size. Elegant neck & good shoulders. Sadly not giving her all on the move which cost her the class; 3 Cunningham’s Clentry Ruby Tuesday. JB (3) 1 Tite’s Rijobeau Caught On Camera, won the class on sound temperament & good neck. Slightly long cast & a little untidy on the move due to enthusiasm; 2 Hunt’s Lauralee Miss Marple at Carpaccio, good balance of height to length but a little reticent today. Very full oval thorax; 3 Stringfellow’s Oxondachs Amethyst at Silvatica. PGB (3,1) 1 Jones’ Adnerbs Lexi Get Fizzical, difficult decision, but took it on slightly better neck & shoulder. Both had good movement & showed some drive going away. Both had pretty heads, but I slightly preferred the eye on 1; 2 Seago’s Amlida As Intended, as said, close to 1 & a handy bitch to own. LB (5,1) 1 Macdonald’s Bensarka Sarabi, elegant bitch of lovely size & type. Good proportions & kept top & underline at all times. Pretty head & oval eye. Good neck & well laid shoulders. Moved very well with precision. RCC; 2 Wand’s Wanderhund Moon Dragon, lovely type & has an elegance about her. Close decision between these two but one moved with more drive today; 3 Paterson’s Phaeland Sent Direct to Ambiesque. OB (5,1) 1 Wand’s Wanderhund Scarlet Witch, headed a class of lovely bitches. Super type & temperament. Good height to length ratio. Good ground clearance. Correctly filled front without exaggeration. Good feet & legs. Moved with drive & precision. Bang on form today. CC & BOB & shortlisted in the group. Told this was her second CC & I hope the third one comes soon; 2 Cunningham’s Ir Ch Sontag Say The Word for Celandine, quality bitch with good topline. Correct height to length ratio but slightly larger all through than winner. Moved well back & forth; 3 Williams & Moes’ Cwndarhian Hotoff The Press.
