A crisp bright but cool morning I was glad the consensus among the exhibitors was for judging to take place outside in the ample grass ring. May I also thank the ladies of the West of England Kennel Society for their most wonderful hospitality what better than high tea while watching the groups it made for a most enjoyable judging appointment.

1st MACDONALDS CH/AM GR DUEL CH BENSARKA PHEONIX SUN – Impressive handsome Red dog & still in his prime at 8 years. Super headpiece, lengthy neck into a good topline which he kept at all times. Deep keel sweeping back giving a flowing underline, shown in lovely condition & muscle which showed in his ground covering movement.

1st MCNAUGHTONS CEDAVOCH TROPICAL STORM – Dk Sh Red with fabulous pigment, beautiful head & eye, pleasing to go over everything flowed, chunky bone and good legs & feet, strong well muscled backend.

2nd HIGGINS MEGANHOL BLACK MUSKETEER OF LEVELISS – Taller rangier B/Tan not as developed in front or ribbing as the winner but a very elegant young man.

1st GOFFIN-THOROGOODS MATZELL MALIZANI – Three young hounds of differing type this appealing Red dog excellent male head into strong neck , good angles all round which he used on the move and floated over the ground. He just needs to settle into himself i'm sure time will help.

2nd ALTONS KIERSHA ALL THAT JAZZ – Stronger heavier built B/Tan well off for bone much more composed than the winner but not the free fluid movement.

1st SKIPPERS LAURALEE ARTFUL DODGER- Not a big chap this B/Tan was 3rd in the previous class he has a good temperament and shows well doing everything asked of him by his handler could do with a little more width all through.

1st KERRYS KIRETON BEAU DIDDLEY – Handsome B/tan in super condition with fine smooth jacket , plenty of bone & substance. Masculine head well filled oval front ribbing carried well back covered plenty of ground on the move topped off with happy temperament.

2nd ROELS ADNERBS HOB NOB BOB – Red dog of good type not exaggerated or overdone just not the oval front or sweep of keel of the winner.

1st MCNAUGHTONS CARPER AG VON NORDOR IMP – Beautiful Dk Sh Red Import with fantastic pigment not exaggerated quality all through from his clean head

&jaw to his well conditioned and powerful rear. Eye-catching mover in profile not only is he a excellent showman his worth as a sire is showing through in the younger classes. RCC.

2nd PAYTONS MINALSA MULBERY OF MARAJO – Another eye-catching Red dog both stacked

&on the move couldn't match the winner in ribbing or bone.

1st ARMSTRONGS CH LAURALEE NICHOLAS NICKLEBY – This B/tan champion is all male and just owns the ring, he excels in all departments and he knows it! Proud head carriage & powerful rear he is a pleasure to handle &just lights up on the move. A good headpiece with strong punishing jaw , long arched neck into clean well placed shoulders, deep keel sweeping back well sprung ribbing, angulated hammy quarters drove him round the ring covering the ground with ease. Another top showman that is also proving his worth as a sire. CC.

2nd NORTONS MATZELL MAN OF THE MATCH – A masculine Clear Red with lovely head & outline, good neck & forechest. Superb ribbing carried well back into short loin just not the powerful rear drive of the winner.

3rd WILLIAMS & MOES CWMDARHIAN SAN ANDREAS

1st HIGGINS CH LEVELISS WHAT SHE SAID – This B/Tan lady is a favourite of mine, beautiful make & shape she oozes breed type. Femine head , reachy neck, clean over the shoulders, ribs sprung &carried well back, correct angles fore & aft a light 7 easy mover . Thank you for entering & allowing me the chance to judge her.

1st MCNAUGHTONS CADAVOCH RAINSTORM – Headed a class of lovely young ladies. Cracking red bitch of correct type & size, excellent head good reach of neck well filled front , clean well laid shoulders, covered the ground driving out from the rear.

2nd ARMSTRONGS LAURALEE TO THE MANOR BORN – Top class B/Tan daughter of my dog CC winner she has many of her sires attributes just a femine version good head & jaw super keel & ribbing, strong bone shown in fabulous condition will surely reach the top.

1st HUNTS LAURALEE MISS MARPLE AT CARPACCIO – Another classy sired by my DCC winner. A B/Tan of a lovely size, pretty feminine head good reach of neck, clean well placed shoulders, well filled front with keel extending back with sprung ribbing a free true mover a very nice bitch.

2nd NORTONS MATZELL MYRTLE – Appealing red bitch just over a year I liked her size & type , conical head reachy neck not as positive in rear movement as the winner.

1st JONES ADNERBS LEXI GET FIZZICAL JW – Elegant Sh Red a most beautifully made bitch caught my eye went all the way with her calm assured showmanship. Excellent conical head & expression everything flows from this down her reachy neck over her conditioned body to her strong angulated rear. The balance of strength & elegance I was looking for not exaggerated. Her movement was free & effortless she just had to be my BCC. Shown on a loose lead she free stood like Smooths of old taking her onto BOB.

2nd WATSONS AMLIDA ASCARI – Elegant Red bitch with good length of bones, sweeping keel just needs more confidence to show off her attributes.

1st MITCHELLS CEDAVOCH SOLAR STORM AT BRONIA – At only 6 months litter sister to PB winner this Clear Red is just stunning. Quality all through excellent size & balance. Super fine coat my hands flowed over this flame red youngster just a baby but showed like a pro keeping her shape on the move, I was captivated by her RCC BP.

2nd ALTONS KIERSHA FUTURES DREAM – Stronger larger B/Tan bitch held a good outline both stacked & on the move

1st MACDONALDS BENSARKA SARABI – Elegant Sh Red bitch shown in excellent condition her coat just shone, feminine head good length of neck kept her topline aided by strong ribbing 7 short loin.

2nd ALTONS KIERSHA THATS SHOWBUSINESS – Sound moving Ch/Tan bitch of pleasing make & shape, pretty head well filled front kept a level topline.

OB 5E 0 Abs

1st NORTONS MATZELL MINELLA – Mature quality Red bitch beautifully put together elegant head well filled deep chest long ribbing with good topline held on the move.

2nd WANDS WANDERHUND MOON DRAGON – Sassy Clear Red she comes alive on the move. Pleasing to go over, good front excellent spring & length of rib , shown in fabulous condition such a fine & smooth jacket . Another from this kennel as I had admired her kennelmate at Crufts.

3rd ARMSTRONGS LAURALEE GIRL CRUSH – completed a trio of top class bitches.
