I would like to thank the exhibitors for accepting me as the replacement judge.
I wish Jan Pain a speedy recovery and I hope she is on the mend and back with us
at the shows. The entry had absentees due to the adverse weather conditions. I
was disappointed with the quality of smooths, we seem to have lost the quality
that we had. Pigmentation seems to be a thing of the past, something in smooths
that has not been a problem. Bad mouths seem to be accepted? Is this what we are
taking as the norm. Teeth were all clean but many had terribly long nails which
does ruin the shape of the foot.
MPD 1 Jones & Jones' Adnerbs Rock-a-billy Rebel. Red stood alone, very immature
puppy, needs to tighten all through to finish the picture BPD. JD 1 Andison &
Peel's Clentry Pepe Le Pew. Brindle of different type, masculine head, looks a
picture stacked but is a teenager on the move.
LD 1 Paget & Carroll's Lauralee Oscar Wild At Marvale. Masculine black and tan
with a classic head good expression. Would like a little more heart room, well
laid shoulders. Moved keeping a level topline but for me I would like a bit more
stride going away from me which cost him the RCC.Another sired by the RDCC
winner. 2 Higgins' Meganhol Black Musketeer Of Leveliss. Lighter built black and
tan with an appealing head, I would prefer a more almond shaped eye to finish
the picture. Was a little apprehensive on the table which showed when he moved.
OD 1 Kerry's Kireton Beau Diddley. A smart black and tan who I have never seen
look better. He came into the ring and said look at me, fabulous head well
arched neck correct front. Well placed shoulders, excellent spring of rib. He
looks a picture on the move using his hammy hindquarters to advantage as he
powered around the ring. He keeps a classic outline at all times. Well handled
to get the best out of him. Pleased to award him DCC BOB Congratulations. 2
Armstrong's Ch Lauralee Nicholas Nickleby. Smart Black and Tan who I have
previously admired and my opinion has not changed, he was my CC BOB winner last
time I judged. Today he needed more weight to finish the picture. RCC. 3
Stringfellow's Sontag Silvan Sorcerer.
MPB 1 Andison & Peel's Clentry Tooty Fruity. Smart brindle baby who was enjoying
her day out which is lovely to see in a baby. She needs time to settle but has a
pretty head and expression. Lovely quarters keeps a pleasing outline BP. PB
Difficult class to judge as they were opposite in types. 1 Rodger's Glenariff
Qui Vive. Red pleasing head, front correct shoulders, moved out well but needs
to settle in topline to finish the picture. 2 Andison & Peel's Clentry Russian
Roulette. Brindle needs time to settle to get the best out of her as she was not
co operative with her handling.
PGB 1 Stringfellow's Oxondachs Amethyst At Silvatica. Black and tan of
continental type. Enjoying her day out but I would like a better front I would
like more of a scissor bite.
LB 1 Armstrong's Lauralee Girl Crush. Red smart bitch who won this class on her
front, pretty head, well arched neck. Well ribbed keeping a pleasing outline,
moved out well with ease. RCC to her Sister sired by the RDCC winner. 2
Lockett-Walters & McDermot's Ralines For Pete's Sake. Black and tan of a lighter
type to winner, sweet head and expression. Well filled front, moved ok but I
preferred winner coming towards me, found her a little weak in pasterns, perhaps
some road walking will help her front.
OB 1 Armstrong's Lauralee To The Manor Born. Smart bitch who just said 'I am
here'. Correct head and expression, well filled front. Correct shoulders, well
arched neck, super ribbing, powered around the ring using her quarters to
advantage, keeps a classic outline at all times. Well handled to get the best
out of her, BCC her 2nd. Congratulations, another by the RDCC.
