The dogs were a bit thin on the ground until I got to Open Dog. The bitches were more plentiful and OB was a delight with seven real bitches of good quality fighting it out.
JD (1) 1 Andison & Peel’s Tramardachs Into Infinity. Just out of puppy this red, looked a bit worried when he first appeared, but he relaxed and found his rhythm eventually, easy mover, good length of head, firm topline, well conditioned and handled, very fit.
PGD (2, 1) 1 Williams & Jackson’s Almida Mythos At Wherrypoint. 18 mths b/t, masculine youngster with plenty of body, so does not want to carry any more weight, dark eyes, consistent showman, moved quite well, good bone, well carried tail, sympathetically handled.
LD (2) 1 Paterson’s Phaeland Second Delivery To Ambiesque. Two and a half yr old red, clean head, intelligent expression, good neckline, topline and quarters, lean, fit body, moved and showed well, made a good picture, handled to advantage. 2 Cunningham’s Clentry Back To Black For Celandine. 3 yr old b/t, no mistaking him for anything but a male, good body and rib, strong head, well muscled quarters, not going as well as first in front today.
OD (8, 4) 1 & CC, Hunt’s Ch Lauralee Huckleberry Finn At Carpaccio JW. 2 yr old red, focused on the job in hand, showed very well, well conditioned and handled, quality head, expressive eyes, clean outline, moved with a purpose, fully deserved the big green card today. 2 & RCC, Armstrong’s Ch Lauralee Nicholas Nickleby. Sire of first, b/t of 5 yrs, another with a good clean outline, excellent side action, good length of body, excellent bone, typical head, dark eyes, just not quite the animation of his son, decent male. 3 Chauhan’s Wanderhund Viva Las Vegas.
MPB (2) 1 Armstrong’s Owlander First Edition. 6 mths red, well schooled showgirl who did everything her handler asked of her, feminine head, excellent body and coat, good outline, moved and showed with style for one so young. 2 Cunningham’s Hacienda Midas Touch For Celandine (Imp Mys). 8 mths, at her first show which she thought was a little alarming. Needs to practise standing on a table and being gone over. Moved quite well once she got going, but a little wary of the surroundings.
PB (1) 1 & BP, Chauhan’s Adnerbe Take A Chance On Me. Ten and a half mths b/t, big personality, good head and eyes, excellent topline and quarters, sturdy body, happy showgirl who trotted her stuff with style when moving. Promising.
JB (2) 1 Rodger’s Cedavoch Sophisticate At Thundergay. By same sire as todays BOB I see. 17 mths red, moving a bit wide in front but presented a really good outline standing, lovely head, eyes full of expression, good ribcage, sympathetically handled, nice quality. 2 Steel & Aitken’s Demorgan Princess Margaret. 19 mths b/t, topline not as good as first, quality puppy giving age away here of course, charming head, dark eyes, firm body and quarters.
PGB (5) 1 Paterson’s Phaeland Secret Dream. Two and a half yr old red, a bit nervous on the table but settled down to move properly once she got into her stride, good length of head, excellent forechest, prominent breastbone, well conditioned and handled. 2 Andison & Peel’s Clentry Tooty Fruity. Just over 18 mths, this red brindle, decent sort, good bone and body, attractive head, used her neck to advantage, moved and showed ok. 3 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Tempest.
LB (4, 1) 1 Norton’s Matzell Myrtle. 3 yr old, comfortable winner here, moved very well, feminine head, good expression, well proportioned, no more weight please, well handled. 2 Steel & Aitken’s Morailsa Secret Romance For Demorgan. 5 yrs b/t, strong body, well ribbed up, typical head, well muscled, excellent coat, moved ok, steady showgirl. 3 Rodgers’ Glenariff Qui Vive At Thundergay.
OB (8, 1) Super class. 1, CC & BOB, Mitchell’s Ch Cedavoch Solar Storm At Bronia. She was the treat of the day for me! Such a lovely bitch, best mover today, well balanced, full of quality, gorgeous face, intelligent expression, firm body, very fit, really covered the ground when moving, composed showgirl. I loved everything about her. 2 & RCC, Armstrong’s Ch Lauralee To The Manor Born. 3 yr old red of good quality, another by Nicholas Nickleby. Long, low and level, strong fit body, good bone, excellent coat and condition, moved well but not the fluency of first. 3 Cunningham’s Ir Ch Sontag Say The Word For Celandine. Completing a quality trio.
